I played this at Origins and it actually reminded me a lot of Five Tribes. In both phases of the game you have to be very aware of both what you are doing and what you are leaving your opponents. Good him hitting on the expandability, Tom! Easy to learn, teach, and play. I will definitely be adding it to my collection.
This reminds me a bit of Patchwork (with a bit more going on) in that you are moving around a track to try and get the bits you want and also deny your opponents what they need and then you build something with it. Would this be a reasonable comparison? If so that has me very excited.
This game seems like it'd work better with 2x2 Lego bricks.
I think the pieces looked "hard" to stack because Tom was hurrying... it seems he would have commented on that if it were an issue during gameplay. He was just trying to get the video done quickly.
these pieces remind me of Firenze which seems hard to find

Game desperately needs a tray shaped like the bottom of the pieces so the stay in place and don't move around like that. First thing I would do if I bought this would be to make one of those. (3d print or cnc or woodworking or clay)

NEVERMIND, there are different buildings. Should have watched further, lol.
Yes, but with thick enough cardboard they should be able to make the "building spaces" lowered in order to get an edge to hold the lowest bricks from sliding all over the place.
stacking those little pieces that get jostled pretty easy looks like a bunghole of a time
