I guess ill share my personal experience with Vitamin C. About 15 years ago I use to drink Emergen C packets every once in awhile knowing they were good for me and tasted very good. I found that if I consumed more then 4 packets a day I would get loose stools ( 4 grams vit c). Then when I started to get sick I took all 4 packets at once but did not get loose stools...I thought what the heck Ill take a few more. I ended up taking 8 packs ( 8 grams) and about an hour later had a loose stool. The amazing thing....my sore throat and tiredness was totally gone within hours! I couldnt wait to get another cold to try this on as crazy as that sounds. The next time my throat started to hurt, fever, aching joints I took 8 packets and again the next morning I was totally fine. I went on to do this many many times , the KEY is taking the vitamin C quickly when you first start to get symptoms, if I waited for a day after my symptoms started for a cold it wouldn't stop it in its tracks...it only seemed to minimize the time I had the cold slightly. I eventually learned what I did was find my bowel tolerance which has been known by many practitioners for decades. Ive told many people about this and I dont think one has ever taken the time to find their bowel tolerance and totally avoid a cold or get over other illnesses. The most common complaint i've heard is that they dont want to get diarrhea....its hard to believe but you can give someone a "gold nugget" and they wont take it because of a temporary discomfort. The sicker you are, the more Vitamin C you need AND are able to tolerate. Andrew Saul, Ph.D and Dr Thomas E. You showed several vitamin C products on one slide including lipospheric vitamin C, and you said there is no data to support increased bioavailabilty of any of them. Well, you had better generate some data on lipo C because many of us know that for certain diseases it works FAR BETTER than ascorbic acid!!!! (Regular ascorbic acid is a good and important supplement. Lipo C is much more expensive.) Two years ago I had been taking 10-12 grams/day of ascorbic acid/sodium ascorbate for months when I came down with a severe case of shingles. Obviously the ascorbate had little effect. So I obtained liposomal C on day 5. I took about 15 grams/day for TWO DAYS. By the morning of the third day the pain and severe fatigue was GONE -- I was back to business as usual. I'm in my 70s. Most seniors who get shingles are sick for 6 weeks on average. Another point: You said plain ascorbic acid is not readily available. What did you do -- just check to see what your local health food store had on the shelves? Plain ascorbic acid is VERY EASY TO OBTAIN over the internet in various forms -- powder, tablets, capsules.

The question is, is there a feedback mechanism where the more toxic or ill the body is, the more ascorbic acid can be eaten or injected and absorbed for use. That is the Crux of the Klenner, Pauling, et al statement. This has never been nailed down. IS THERE SUCH A FEEDBACK MECHANISM OR NOT??
This presenter is sadly misinformed. He needs to read books by Dr. Thomas Levy for a start. I kicked the flu in a few hours with 10 grams of liposomal vitamin C in just one example. I'm so sad to hear this poor information that really misses the mark.
mrhdiver Look up Dr Suzanne Humphries lecture on C.
mrhdiver Those two are very much on the same page.
Same I stopped flu / cold from starting by taking 4 Gram of liposomal boom it was dead next morning. Also added Manuka honey to it which helpers
Absolutely agree. I read a Linus Pauling book back in 1994...I IMMEDIATELY, the very second I sense a sniffle (usually around 4-5pm) by the time I go to sleep 10-11pm, I have chewed through 5-6-7g Vit c...same thing for the next 3-4 nights. NEVER had a cold 25 yrs.
Which Vitamin C did you use? also how many mg? I bought Nutrivein premium Liposomal Vitamin C 1,650 mg per serving. Your suppose to take 2 a day.I swear I been using the vitamin C and magnesium for like a week and I been have the best energy ever. And so many other good things have been happening body wise and pain wise. I wanna know if the one linus talks about is powder and will liposomal pills work the same.
Some say Chinese Vitamin C is bad - is this right? And why is it bad? How dangerous? What side-effects? How to ensure that bought in the West is better?
Maybe because they have been making aspirin an other pills, products, etc with chalk an some other weird stuff. Look it up.
I wouldn't buy any supplement manufactured in China. Who knows what they have done to it.
Thank you handsome guy for this great research of yours. This is an additional info from Dr. Thomas Levy and Dra. Suzanne Humphries that have so many info about Vit.C and very detailed.
I say vitamin c good,calcium bad
I wish I could put a pic of the v c I just ordered , it's from nulife 1.000 g sodium ascorbate bio active non gmo, I put small amount on my spoon and add it to my water, I notice it took away that pick axe pain in the back of my head, and gave me a little energy, not sure how safe it is to use every day?
Its ok. I have taken 100g+ a day when i was sick.
1000 mg per day for most people is not likely to cause any harm. The tolerable upper intake level set for vitamin C in 2000 mg/day. Just make sure you're not having gas/bloating problems and you're likely good.
@Mary Carroll dosage varies by condition weight and personal tolerence. how often and how much do you take.
it is best to take multiple times a day. if i take 10 grams at once i usually have to go to bathroom in 30mins to 1 hour if i am not sick.
and eat some salt and protein too. meat collagen. those go well with vitamin c.
@Mary Carroll i take more often when i am sick or feel terrible. if not every 4-6 hours.
i noticed thay when im under stress i get mucus buildup and more boogers.
its pretty crazy that i have had mucus buildup all my life until vitamin c. i never knew simply supplementing vitamin C would get rid of that problem.
What's your thoughts about hydrogel liposomal C and detox C?
I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with either one of them, but it's hard to say something good either. The problem is that supplement companies can make certain claims that they don't have to back up... But as scientists we need to see evidence.
@@michelsa0276The problem with evidence is that what one calls evidence another calls it anecdotal. Reversing my heart disease on the Linus Pauling Heart Protocol.
Loved this talk. Nice to hear some unbiased facts.
Thanks for the Biology lesson Alexander, as vitamin metabolism is still not well understood ... much less its sources ...

after how many mg's of vitamin c does the body stop using it and it is urinated out ?
just wondering how much i should take per day so that i dont waste money
Please advise me on How many Vitamins C a day, how often, what brand, is it's stronger with the Rose hips?. Orally or intravenous?. Thanks for your help.
did you even watch the video.
VitC does cure colds. It works on all illness. Linus Pauling lived to be 93. It wasn't from eating McDonalds. You should do something else. This is a hot mess
He still died from cancer.
Vit c kills viruses and bacteria
The Saul family eat veggie-heavy but also dairy (cheese and yogurt).
And absolute shit show
Thank you for your time

I eat tons of C a day.... I pop vitamin C like Tic Tacs, almost impossible to overdo.. ..
@@greenleader413 It's actually kinda a myth about vitamin c and kidney stones... I take a ton and have never had any issues, my naturopathic doctor also says the same.... If you are worried about the possibility you can drink lemon water daily...
Will high vitamin c and lysine cause kidney problem or kidney stones? What Vitamin c or product do you recommend for heart pain and problems?
You should worry more about the level of salt put in foods we're eating, talking about kidney problems
@@hardwiredtoselfdestruction3401 I don’t have kidney problems and I am careful with salt. Try to stick with pink salt or Celtic salt.

Seems very conservative in dosage!
What company makes the bottle shown @42:05 in the video?
Dont say anything negative, he'll delete your comment like he did mine
Your comment has not been deleted. It was made on a different video than this one. It appears to be on one of the Visions of Linus Pauling videos.
Just do what other animals do who can make vitamin c. If they because of stress, injury,, toxemia vastly increase their vitamin c, do the same thing.
Excellent point
People,primates don't make vitamin c
Will Vit C drip help for an aggressive cancer of the brain?
Unfortunately, this is not well studied. If you see our video with Dr. Jeanne Drisko you can see some of the work with IV vitamin C and cancer.
try fasting and a carnivore diet. Look up Dr Thomas Seyfried.
You could try hydrogen
therapy. Cancer Hates Hydrogen I use infused hydrogen water and breath hydrogen gas for 1-2hrs per day. I use the Linus Pauling Heart Protocol, reversing my heart disease successfully.
Hydrogen has an influence on over 170 diseases.
how much vitamin C one person take daily?
The Linus Pauling Institute recommends 400 mg/day for most people under normal circumstances. However, there are instances where people might want to take more. The search for the optimal dose of vitamin C continues.
@@thelinuspaulinginstituteI seen on the linus that for heart diseases it was 3,000 mg to 10,000 did you see that also? I have all the supplements he mentioned but wanna make sure of the doses
How is vitamin c metabolized??
The amount of vitamin C that is metabolized can vary from person to person. We don't have a good way of predicting that yet, but it seems to increase when someone is under a great deal of stress.
Ascorbic acid is not the real Vitamin C, it is acid. If you use it, make sure to double down on calcium and magnesium.
Microwaves are setrimental to health.
Interesting. On one hand he is debunking myths while one the other hand he says there isn't enough research. I hear what you're saying. 🤔😉
Very good
400mg is still not enough
tell us why.
Your recommendations for optimal levels are waaay too low!😂😂😂
At 34:19 BS! Go look for Andrew Saul.
the best discussion of the topic on youtube, together with Dr Rath's
I TAKE 1000 MG A DAY. FEEL GREAT.
BETTER to consume vitamin C as pulp of acerola, a fruit in Brasil, not ascorbic acid
One should take vitamins in spaces of 10
Mins
Thank you great info, useful & practical.

Very informative. Thank you.
Get the Buffered Ascorbate Powder.
of buffer it yourself easily with potassium-/ or magnesium-/ or sodium-hydrogencarbonate. enjoy. .
that why you will never learn anything from this sort of video
This video is awesome. Thanks so much for sharing
What is the absorption limit vitamin C?
If you take 2000 msg half a teaspoon , you fully absorb about 900mgs rest goes out in urine or shit end.
Sodium ascorbate is most cost effective ,liposomal is not cost effective long term, but if your sick load the fuck up on lipo
I take 2000mgs sodium ascorbate 8 times a day.I have anemia so have to try and get my iron levels up to or close to optimal.
Milligrams sorry

Great scientific info on ascorbic C.

Amazing.
Microwave??? Omgosh, they actually destroy all food composition!!!, pls do not promote that!. Find out facts.
Andrew w Saul sorry.
👏👏👏🇧🇷
FANTASTIC
i stopped listening when he said vitamin C = ascorbic acid
That is the definition of vitamin C - the idea that other molecules are a necessary part of vitamin C is not supported by science.
why the speaker looks unhealthy and his presentation is on a secondary school level?
😂😂 lmao
Don’t watch this video it is wrong and trying to discourage the knowledge seekers.....He must work for The Big Pharmaceuticals companies!!!! He also. Is. A lousy teacher anyhow.
We're sorry you feel this video is wrong - care to explain why you feel that way?
Such a terrible presenter.
I agree with what has been said here, especially when compared to other sources. But why do you sound like members of a damn cult? This childish behavior harms your entire intention.
Great info......terrible speaker
Larry Rondeau. Worst speaker I have ever heard. Like, "The problem with such and such is that - er I should say the uh - the DIFFICULTY of the, the.." For God's sake man spit it out.
