40years later, people are *still* listening to ABBA & younger generations are discovering ABBA and being touched by their music also. ABBA songs go straight to the heart and just have a way of becoming ingrained into your heart, soul & mind.
There can never be enough said of the vocal talent of Agnetha and Frida. The execution of the lead vocals, the heavenly layering... I always call it "backing vocal bliss".
Benny deserves more credit for his unbelievable work on the keys. Genius.

considering that the LP was recorded in 1979, ABBA are geniuses. my admiration for abba doesn't stop there.
Please react to ABBA's 1974 song "Dance (While the music still goes on)". It's another hidden music gem from this great group. Pretty sure, you'll fall in love to it.
Dance... is a great song. Another one of my favourites is People Need Love.
After all these years, the way they sing "losing you" still makes the hairs on my neck stand up. Next suggestions would be Angeleyes and Does Your Mother Know/Hole In Your Soul live.

Voulez Vous was hands down the best disco album ever and one of the best albums of the late 70s. ABBA were this good.
This is one of their under-reconised gems
This and "Lovers" are my personal favourites from this album, you got to do this one!!! If you react to "Summer Night City" try to find the complete version with the original slow intro, (is not the one in the remaster or the video version, it's in the "Thank You For The Music" box set), the effect that the intro gives to the song is AMAZING... And FOR GOD'S SAKE, please react to "HOLE IN YOUR SOUL", can't wait to see your face with that one... Also "Move On" and "I'm A Marionette" from "The Album" are another gems you will enjoy so much...
"Hole in Your Soul" and "I'm a Marionette" will probably blow Dereck's mind. It's not what you'd expect from ABBA.

Another great reaction! There was a song written for this same LP but never made to the final copy. They actually stripped it down and created another song with different chords and lyrics called Does Your Mother Know. The song was later included in their box set. The unreleased song is called Dream World. Just a great song for true ABBA fans.

YAY! Glad you got to this track and YES! you are correct, the Voulez-Vous album is loaded with “stellar” tracks. You comment a lot about Agnetha’s vocals, and she is amazing, however, if you do a reaction for “Lovers (Live a Little Longer)” you’ll get to hear Frida with an amazing lead vocal.

ABBA was one of the first groups ever that worked actively with synthesizers.
"Losing you!" That expression always sounded dramatic to me. I think that you can only play with emotions like that when music tells a story. ABBA knew how to do it!

Lay All Your Love On Me is from Super Trouper. You need to do Angel Eyes which was the double A side single to Voulez-Vous.
Many of these abba songs I have never heard before. I only knew the hits that were in the charts at that time. Great abba sounding songs, its like going back in time. Especially with this old sennheiser hd 62 TV headphones. They are very old but I bet they sound better than the newest Beats. Nice and balanced, I highly recommend them!

from romantic ballad to good ole country to funky disco! I guess the only reason why they didn't release this as a single was because the Voulez-Vous album was already

i have heard the abba songs x times i get goose bumps through the whole body i am excited to see how the new cd will be.
ABBA has a style of composing songs, this style no longer exists today, when you hear it often it stays in your head. with me it's like that, you can't hear the age of the songs in the music.

Every member of my family had ABBA records, even my grandmother, they such a big part of my childhood, teens and right into adulthood, such beautiful and timeless music. I remember the first song of theirs that I obsessed over was People Need Love, the girls actually yodel in harmony very briefly at the end of the song, it's so beautiful and harmonic, i would get my aunt to repeat it over and over and she did happily...
