I've been playing guitar for since I was 15 (now 61) I will say you are one of the best instructors I've seen. Your demeanor your knowledge, if only someone like you were around when I was a kid. No internet to learn from, word of mouth and Mel Bay horrible books (excellent today with their Play-along series). People may not realize how fortunate they are today. Great job educating guitar players.
Hi Shane, I'm 71 and from Sydney Australia. I started playing 3 years ago and find your teaching fantastic. Just bought the beat buddy and having a great time. Thank you very much again. Stephen
Great lesson, Shane. Thanks for the BB and looper demos. Much respect for your responding to your subscribers' comments - I believe the feeling of intimacy hanging with you in your space and your gentle encouragement are part your charm that makes your teaching style a treat to work/play with. Thanks for that. Cheers, Shane.
Always excited to see the notification! Exceptional job again! The Beat Buddy and the looping device has my full attention! Keeping guitar playing fun, nicely done!
You have no idea how great it is when I see the notification for another one of your videos shows up and on a Friday afternoon to boot. Looking forward to digging in to this one. And keep that looper/lead stuff coming, it’s getting more fun all the time. Hope your doing well and thanks again Shane!
This tune often visits the old knoggin' Great tune. Thanks Shane Many of Kristofferson's tunes are genius story telling and (sometimes) welcomed at the old campfire 😉 😎👍❤🖖 Love Brother
I started watching you 4 years ago. I haven’t been playing my guitar at all since 2019 since I got busy with university. At work today all I see is “your comment was loved by Guitar at Work” and my brain instantly went “SHANE!😁😁😁” Great to come back and see you are still sharp as a katana with your playing , man I got a lot of songs to learn now eh!? Keep it up sir, you’re the best teacher on this platform.
Fantastic video, I really enjoyed that. I used to play this my own campfire way and now I know how to spice it up until I get to the real thing. This is another level way above campfire lol. Thanks a lot!!!
Thanks for that - I really appreciate the encouraging words. It's always fun to make these videos and it's super to hear from people who enjoy them. My best to you, Shane
Great lesson of a terrific song Shane! I really like both versions of that classic song. If I knew how to play, I would definitely purchase that Beat Buddy. Anyway, hope that all is good on your end! 👍👍🎸🎸
Hey Johnny! Thanks for that. I love the picture you sent of Alcatraz....I was there once but couldn't do the tour of the prison..it was sold out for weeks in advance. Best to you and K for a fun and safe trip! Shane
True story. The guy who invented the beat buddy is the same guy who was the arms dealer played by Miles Teller in War Dogs. He has a cameo in the movie. He's the one playing the guitar in the senior home.
I love your videos - are you ever going to give instructions on how to use the beat buddy - I sold mine before I discovered you because I found it so difficult to use.
Hi Shane, was curious as to what string size you use, I use the originals that came with my guitar which are D' Addario Custom Lights 11, 15, 22, 32, 42, 52, I was considering picking up a slightly heavier set to enrich the lower tones maybe a 12/60, I have a Fender Dreadnaught. I have picked up so much watching your lessons, great teacher, keep up the fantastic work.
Shane, I have question concerning counting the beats I guess. When your at the slow speed play along with the Beatbuddy playing at 75 BPM, are you not strumming at rate of 150, same when you go to 95, are you not strumming at 190? Maybe I’m confused but that’s kinda how it seems to me, am I just counting it wrong?
Fair enough. I just know I was way behind the first time I tried the play along LOL. Coming along now. I was also working on Seven Bridges Road so tonight was a lot of new rhythms and strums that had both my fingers and brain working hard. Thanks again Shane.
Hi from Two Mountains,QC. Shane, great lesson. I purchased the BB Mini II, do you know if the extension pedal works like it does on the BB? Also, there is a pedal to change the iPad pages, by IRig. I use one for my android, never stop as I play. Keep on picking!
Thank you Mike! Glad to have you here with us. Does the BB Mini have a plug for an extension switch? And yes....I have seen that pedal to scroll with the iPad. I need to get one. My best to you and cheers from the Nation's capital. Cheers, Shane
i understand that you can't sing the song real long, but I am curious if you sing songs, your speaking voice sounds like you would have a really good singing voice

Hi Tom! Oh no! It's not difficult to use - it's super intuitive. Perhaps you just got off to a bad start. Plug it in and go. Cheers, Shane

Shane, what model guitar are you playing here?
I’ve been playing solo sand with a band thanks in part to your videos.
You should go on tour!!
Thank you, Scott. Very glad you’re enjoying - I am playing a Tayler 814 CE. I really love it my best to you and have fun Shane.
Hi, can you explane how i can do the dubbel time function with my beatbuddy. Thanks
👍bella lezione grazie molto utile

So tricky to explain Wally and such a great question. It’s not actually the tempo that changes….just the feel changes.
Fair enough. I just know I was way behind the first time I tried the play along LOL.
Coming along now.
I was also working on Seven Bridges Road so tonight was a lot of new rhythms and strums that had both my fingers and brain working hard.
Thanks again Shane.

What Beat Buddy beat did you use?
Hi Jack - I have the full version BeatBuddy. Not the mini.
@@GuitarAtWork never mind. Was asking what beat you used but you explained it in the video….Blues 1.
Ok Shane , the time has come for you to start singing the songs, come on, we know it's going to be so good
