Thank you Rick - I really appreciate the encouragement. I always have fun making these videos and it’s really super to hear from people who are enjoying them. Best to you! Shane
Just watched your lesson on the song Mrs Robinson, and was blowin" away by the ease of how you presented it in a easy form to play it.Thank-you once again for your professional teaching
I’m so bad with rhythm. Been teaching myself for 5 years but when you don’t have anyone to play with or show you things you don’t get very far. I do enjoy watching your videos. 😊
Wow, best lesson I've seen. Mrs Robinson heated up in the full speed play. A lot of picks will go flying. Pro tip, keep a short piece of 1/2 Dowell by your chair. A stamp size piece of double sided tape on the Dowell retrieves dropped picks.Saves my back every time.
I'm much better at holding the pick. But I aim for a relaxed grip without tension creeping into my playing. Another killer strum song is The Eagle by John Denver. He's soaring like a bird in flight with that strum. Big workout.
Thank you! So great to hear from people all over the world who are enjoying. I'm very glad to have you here with us and I wish you the very best on your guitar journey! Shane
Thanks a lot for sharing your skills. You make tricky songs easier to play. Love your enthusiasm. I learn a lot thanks to you. Best teacher ever. Greetings from France. Marcel
Congrats on 150k subscribers. You've helped me learn songs I never thought i'd be able to play and have made me a better player all around. You deserve a million subs! Best teacher on UA-cam hands down.
Thanks for your hint about playing the low E string F# over a dm or D chord. It’s all those embellishments that you teach which make such a difference in your lessons. You’re a level up from the competition! Thx again
200,000 Subs are coming soon . That leaves 800,000 that have yet to discover the Best Guitar Teacher on UA-cam . But they will . Thank You Shane for all you do .
Congratulations, well deserved for sure. I'm an "older" player as well (lol) and have been playing for many years, just have never really advanced passed the average guitar player level but, you have taught me quite a few new songs and I greatly appreciate the work you put into this. I mentioned this one before a while back but, Blind Faith's "Can't Find My Way Home" would be a good one, if you get the chance. I'm sure you get a lot of requests. Thanks Shane.
Thanks Roger - I appreciate you being here with us and commenting. Always happy to hear from people who are enjoying - great song request and it's definitely on the list. Cheers! Shane
Shane, Thanks for saving me 10% on the Beat Buddy! Also, thanks for including the beat buddy setting. Still trying to navigate the pedal. The setting is very helpful.
I used to busk to this classic with a friend of mine. It was always a hit! You should get into some of the actual lead parts. Paul Simon pulls off some great riffs…check out the versions on The Graduate soundtrack. 👍🏻
What a great channel! I'm so glad to have stumbled across this! Fantastic instructions and so many great songs covered. I particularly love the Tom Petty stuff. Your advice on the lead play is amazing. I always held short of playing lead lines but this makes it so much fun. Got the Beat Buddy and the Aeros Loop Studio now - well worth the investment.Keep'em coming!
Great lesson Mate. ... Merry Christmas to you, yours and Jack. 🎉🎉. Another great year of Guitar at work. Wishing you all the best for 2024. Thank you for sharing your skills.. congratulation on 150k.... long way from the 10k video years ago. Well Done Shane. Cheers ☕️ 🍻 mate.
Russ! You're the best - sincere thanks for being here since day one. I've enjoyed our back and forth. Hearing from people is incredibly important to me - I'm used to teaching one on one and talking into a camera is different. But.....then I read comments such as yours and things make more sense. Merry Christmas to you over there - Cheers! Shane 😀
That was very fun. I always liked the song but never played it. Now I do. If I could just do something about my voice. I used to sing very well but now I'm old and I pretty much can't sing anymore.
Hey thanks for that! I was thrilled this morning when I saw that it had rolled 150K subscribers. This has been such an amazing journey - so fun. I hope you enjoy that new Taylor - fabulous guitars. Cheers! Shane
I just came up with a pretty darn cool arrangement because of you😂. My wife actually likes it and she's my toughest listener to impress 😂. You got me back to standard tuning I've been in dropped D for so long I forgot how cool standard tuning is 😅
Great video Shane! Congrats on the 150K subscribers. I was fortunate to learn from you a lifetime ago in person with GAW at Nortel. Proud to say I have joined your Patreon channel and look forward to learning again with you.
Hey Shane! What a coincidence! In MTL for two days business, went to the Old Dublin pub Thursday nite, the guy opened his first set with this song. Hope you're doing well and hope to connect soon.
Rob! Great to hear from you lad - I enjoyed our time together at Ciena and Nortel......you're a great player. My best to you and Tracey - Cheers! Shane
180 bpm is really clipping along. If you're not used to playing anything that fast, I'd work up to it in small chuncks over an extended time. Your wrist will thank you.
Thanks Jesse - very glad you enjoyed. I'm playing a Taylor 814CE (2019) - I really love it. You're hearing it plugged straight into the mixer/recorder with a bit of compression and reverb added at mixdown. Best to you! Shane

Hi Shane, Mrs. Robinson doesn't seem to be in your song sheets folders. Am I missing something?
Hi Eric - you can get song sheets at patreon.com/guitaratwork - lots of stuff there! Shane
Sir it would be nice if you show the figure position or cord diagram
Cat Stevens. How can I tell you. Alun Davies.
Hot video!

wow you look like Tommy E

You have a clicky pick. Try celluloid fender 351. Or learn to play with your fingernail and thumbnail.
