I've had two since 2015...... So almost a decade. I'm now in the market for a new wireless controller for my PC and all I've been seeing is "stick drift" in the reviews.
not sure about the wireless version to be honest. i personally prefer wired equipment and my friend that recently got this same model didn't complain about stick drift. if you're looking for different brands Gamesir has controllers with magnetic sticks so it completely eliminates stick drift. i tried it myself and it's really tight and i recommend it but i'm not so sure about the price. there's also 8bitdo which is priced really well and my friends say they don't have any bad comments about it. happy hunting!
I had the F710 and the dpad was the most I like about it, it is sensitive and precise, you don't need press so much and that give speed to execute moves in fighting games. Now I'm going to buy the F310.

I got mine since 2014, never drifted, the buttons had never failed me, the D-pad is a bit uncomfortable for plataforming or multiple input on the D-pad itself, perfect 9.5/10 wired controller so far. Disappointedhow a newer generation Nintendo Switch Pro controller drifts by default out of the box or over time compared this sophisticated PC controller. The Wireless is almost as good, uses 2 AA batteries, so yeah it can die on you and you gotta swap batteries every now and then, recommendable to get 2 pais of rechargeable batteries, one pair on use on the controller, the other pair on standy

The Logitech Wireless F310, F510 and F710 are practically all the same in functionality, but some have rumble/vibration, some use batteriesvand some have wired variants. Honestly, all I have is my trusty F310 wired with no rumble feature, gotta buy them, because some of these aren't made anymore and lucky if you find a new unsold one on amazon or ebay, you're gonna find mostly used ones or ones that were hardly ever used and in perfect conditions still. Perfect controller for Steam/SteamLink, Nintendo Switch as a Pro controller (better with a cable extension). They are comfortable eitherway
@SolidMetal8718 oh i was just wondering if it's efficient with the batteries. i've had multiple logitech wireless mice that took a long amount of months to run out of batteries but my drone controller needs to have batteries replaced every other month. naturally i would like to review all versions of the logitech gamepad series (including the F510 which got pulled out of shelves) and i just need a new controller lol.

Not sure, gotta guess that it is pretty power friendly, if the rumble feature is off, it could likely stay alive for a month or 3 max without swapping batteries, probably. I swear for the life of me, last tome I had to put batteries on a controller was on a remote controller toy car or an og xbox 360 controller
just ordered this controller for 24 dollars, i will mostly use it for emulators and skateboarding games, i got a couple questions -are the triggers analog or digital? -you said it doesnt register more than 2 directions at once on the dpad, does that mean i cant make diagonal movements? thanks for the info
- they're digital triggers. - you can make diagonal inputs, they just hurt if you use the middle of your thumb. though yeah i should've mentioned whether they were analog or digital my bad.
@@bbrr12 actually OP had a comment here about them actually being analog so it worked out for them. they removed it though for some reason. also i'm pretty sure these are real because i got them from the official online store, but i was a bit too stupid to figure out if it was one or the other.

nope. no input delay from what i've felt. tested this on rhythm games and platformers and it's fairly solid except for the deadzones which takes a fair bit of feathering before it registers

@@04farhan28 the only fault i can say is the triggers being kinda hard to press when you first have it but aside from that, this is a very solid first choice. my F310 has been in use for over 5 years at this point and that's after accidentally dropping it and opening it up multiple times to clean it. very durable and very good controller.
The problem I'm having is with Xbox 360 controller it lasts for like 1 month if I play Tekken 8 can you tell me about this controller durability specifically about the buttons XYAB how's the durability of that rubber behind those buttons
i've played only a few hours of tekken 8 and my controller feels responsive even after i opened it up and cleaned the inside a couple of times since i've gotten it. back when i still played fighting games it's held up really well so it can handle what you can dish out.

that's just logitech stuff for you, things just don't break easily. since i published this video, i did start getting issues but nothing that major, i have to press down hard on the dpad now and the triggers feel mushy but it's not that bad to me. but if you're willing to take a dive, i highly recommend it but i'd also advise that you look through the comments here and some videos before you make your final decision!
Hello, I was looking to use this controller for Yakuza Kiwami 2 and later yakuza games, do you have any ideas if they work? I couldn't get them to work with other xinput pc controllers
Yeah, it's actually really great for fighting games. Completed most of the combos for Noel, Ragna and Izayoi, but like i said in the video, the d-pad WILL hurt your thumb if you press it on the edge because it's not that smooth. Honestly it might be a me problem, but i would highly recommend it anyway.
@@navidtahmasbi2870 you can do that, but i don't find it as good as playing on the dpad. you also don't need the mode switch since you can control your character with the left stick anyway, but yes you could do that.
i would say it holds up for the foreseeable future. if you're looking for a controller with gyro support, vibration, and wireless capability then no because this controller's been around for 10 years and logitech hasn't improved upon it since. there is the f710 which is wireless and has vibration, but that sets you back by 50 bucks on amazon. for other brands i don't know much about them, except i find the MSI and SteelSeries icky and expensive, Dualshock 4 the best but very expensive and the Xbox One controllers good but a hit or miss with stick drift.
i'm happy to report that after over 3 years of use, i have not had any problems with drift. deadzones however, they're there, they're not bad but i don't feather my sticks very often so i'm not a good judge for that

never tried RPCS3 but for PCSX2 and gamepass titles they were plug and play. i would say it would probably work with your ps3 emu, but if anything goes wrong you can set up a custom keybind with the downloadable software or on the emu's settings
i'm doing fine, thanks for asking. this works with pcsx2, not sure with rpcs3 but i'm 80% sure that it works and this controller doesn't have vibration.
i actually don't know for sure if it can work on gamepass. if you do want to get this controller for gamepass, then maybe you can download some software in case it doesn't work.

ah yeah i can get that. it's the same for me but with xbox style controllers instead! you'll get used to the grip and shape of the controller sooner than you think, unless you have big hands then i can see why it's uncomfortable for you, but you'll still get used to it eitherway.
I plan on getting one. I intend to use it for pretty much most games ( RPGs, Platformers, 2D, etc.... ) except shooters. Would you say that it'll be sufficient for my intended use ? it's no big deal, questions are appreciated actually! - i'd say it would be sufficient for your uses. - if you're used to the playstation kind of layout for controllers it's pretty comfortable, but even if you aren't, the grip is pretty good plus it isn't heavy. for shoulder buttons, they're kinda like mouse buttons so they're easy to press and you can reach them easily. the triggers are kinda heavy but not that bad, they're also easy to reach. - there are deadzones for the X and Y axis but they're not that bad for me. can't really judge deadzones because with the games i play i don't need to feather the sticks, sorry.
Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves over the quality of xbox controllers. It's abysmal. My Xbox controller stick drifted after 6 MONTHS of normal use (2-3 hours per day). I paid $80 CAD for this junk. Apparently they got sued over faulty controllers in a class action lawsuit. Never buying another Microsoft product again.
yeah, that's been an ongoing thing for xbox controllers for as long as i can remember. 8bitdo has licensed xbox controllers that have hall effect joysticks (they use magnets so there's 0 drift) and if you're on PC, gamesir has one too.

i think the built quality and all is good but this is easily the worst controller i have ever used when it comes to comfort. Those unncessary gaps to put your fingers in is absolute ass and hurts your fingers so much if you play something like a fighting game.

@@brokestudio_ fair. i really liked the dualshock 3 but that's exactly why the F310 feels so familiar and comfortable to me. which is why i really love the F310 as a result because it strikes a good price to performance for me. sadly an original PS3 controller costs a lot and a secondhand one would be sketchy to get, not including the super cheap but fake controllers floating around online.

it really depends on the game if it has controller support, but yes it works with steam games. usually it's just plug and play, if the controller doesn't work use big picture mode on steam

still do. had to open it up and clean it a little but it still works and i still regularly use it.

yes, the original PS2 joystick hurt our finger. this shape is same.
Ps3 controller is the best one both in terms of quality and comfort. I prefer it without the dualshock @@NoodleCDS
@@brokestudio_ fair. i really liked the dualshock 3 but that's exactly why the F310 feels so familiar and comfortable to me. which is why i really love the F310 as a result because it strikes a good price to performance for me. sadly an original PS3 controller costs a lot and a secondhand one would be sketchy to get, not including the super cheap but fake controllers floating around online.
@@NoodleCDS the fake ones are the issue here. I've bought some second hand ones for cheap and they have lasted 4 5 years so it's good although the longest one i had lasted 11 years
Does it automatically work with steams games? Or do you have to do stuff to make it work?
it really depends on the game if it has controller support, but yes it works with steam games. usually it's just plug and play, if the controller doesn't work use big picture mode on steam
