    I finally got one of these. As an orthorexic, I was always wary of using blending in plastic, but now my worries are assuaged. I actually want to use my Vitamix more.
    It also looks better in person than in pictures or video. It feels nice and heavy and solid, too.

    Another reason to think about the stainless steel container is the shape. According to the Ameria's Test Kitchen (search Equipment Review: Best High-End Blenders (Vitamix, Blendtec, KitchenAid, Breville) & Testing Winners), jar shape matters a lot. I have had a Vitamix model 5000 for many years, and will not it give up for a newer model because of the container shape (and other reasons).

      Hey Pamela! That's a great point! I personally love the larger containers for the newer blender models because I have a large family and often make large batch recipes. I do have a 48 oz container as well and I love it too for the shape and smaller batch size recipes.

    I wish they would offer this with the dry blade. Its dry blending that clouded up my container.

    Yes.... this is a must to have...
    You should also really push the point on
    "Frozen" goodies... like sorbet, ice cream, drinks... Whip' (anything).

    I'm trying to figure out under cupboard counter size - I currently have the a3500 with the 64oz pitcher that came with it, so I was wondering how much shorter/taller would it be if I replaced it with the stainless steel 48oz pitcher?

    What about the blades? Can it be used instead of dry grain container?

    ok, so now that you have been using this container for months; how does it hold up in dishwasher, and do you miss the see thru plastic container? Thanks

    This was very helpful. I like that you answer the question if this was compatible with the professional service or the smart series. I will be ordering my stainless steel container today. Again thank you for this very helpful post.

    Thankyou. Just wondering about the measurements inside. Is it like printed with ink, any possibility it will rub off at all do you think

    • @joyfoodsunshine
      @joyfoodsunshine  3 роки тому +4

      That is one thing I mention in my full review on my website too. They are not etched into the metal, so I do have a slight concern they could rub off after many years of use.

      @@joyfoodsunshine According to a couple of customer service reps at Viamix, as well as their website, the numbers ARE in fact "etched' into the metal ! A couple of users had complained on Amazon reviews that the numbers were wearing off after only a couple of weeks, and showed photos which seemed to show that. But I noticed there still was an outline of the numbers and lines left, even where the black color was mostly gone. Also, it was impossible to get a really sharp closeup view of the details in their tiny photos. Vitamix explained that the etching initially looks "dark grey" -- it's not paint or ink - but with use, the dark color does disappear or lighten, but the etched numbers and lines are permanent.
      I Googled "etching" and found that there are different types of etching. One type has an extremely slight rise in the metal, which is why I can't actually feel it with my finger. Vitamix may have even improved on this by now., 9 months later. How is yours holding up with the numbers? I just got mine. No sharp edges on the bottom, either !

    Does a 48oz bought blender bottom fit the stainless steel top? Not sure if its full size?

    I just bought A3500I & also bought a stainless steel container. On the display, there’s a circle with a line 🚫 showing & nothing works. Do you have any idea what’s wrong ?

    Do you think this will pint or dent easily? I also heard there were sort of sharp edges? Are they noticeable? Thanks for your review

    • @joyfoodsunshine
      @joyfoodsunshine  3 роки тому +4

      Hello! I mention the sharp edges in the full review on my website (link in the description), my husband really made a point of them, but they are only on the bottom of the container. And in all my years of blending with my Vitamix I never touch the bottom of the blending container! I don't imagine it will dent easily, as it's pretty thick!

    Put the greens FIRST not last lol. That way the weight of the other heavier items helps push the light greens down.

    How does the noise level of a true metal A3500 with the new Steel Container compare with the noise level using the 48-oz. Tritan container? Could you measure with your sound meter if you have one? It would be wonderful if the noise is damped down somewhat. And what is the comparative sound level of the White A3500 with the Steel Container vs. a true metal A3500 with the Steel Container if you have a White model? Thanks very much.

    • @joyfoodsunshine
      @joyfoodsunshine  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Peter! That's a great question! I don't have a sound meter but from my experience the noise level is very similar. It makes a different sound but it not louder or much quieter!

    I just received my vitamix and stainless steel container. I have watched countless reviews and noone mentions that the stainless container does not fit tight to the base. I can move it quite a bit on the base...so much so I'm afraid I will have to hold the container while it is blending...in your experience does the container move generously on the base?

    Would you recommend white or stainless steel for a 3500

    • @joyfoodsunshine
      @joyfoodsunshine  3 роки тому +1

      That is totally up to you and what you feel like matches your home/kitchen best! I use the stainless steel model every day (and have for years). My favorite one is the brushed stainless but I save that for taking photos! ;)

    • @aBMWEnthusiast
      @aBMWEnthusiast 3 роки тому +1

      Happiness and Money, Vitamix promotes the stainless models as quieter than the white (plastic case) version. I have the black stainless A3500, and to be honest, it doesn't seem any quieter than my earlier 5200 model. The white was my second choice, but ultimately, I preferred the brushed metal look over the white; either way, I think you will be happy.

    Why would they just not make a glass one, it makes so much sense and is cheaper for customers that are worried about leeching plastics

    • @helpfulnatural
      @helpfulnatural 3 роки тому +4

      I asked Vitamix this very question years ago when I first bought my blender. They told me that because of the high velocity/wattage with the motor, glass would likely shatter no matter how durable it is. Hope this helps.

      Although it is dishwasher safe, I will always hand-wash to keep it looking new. The reason her other container is cloudy is the dishwasher. Same reason I wash all pots and knives by hand. Dishwashers are convenient but they really 'age' and mess up some products.

    • @helpfulnatural
      @helpfulnatural 3 роки тому +2

      @@Enig_Mata So true about the dishwasher. I've read some reviews about this container on amazon complaining about the measurements wearing off over time. I would think if washed in the dishwasher this would speed up the issue.
