This video is going to be really helpful. As for my experience with mouse art, I got into the habit of drawing pictures on paper then scanning them onto my pc where I would just zoom in and go over the outline with the mouse. It really works and as I have had practice I have gotten pretty good at it. It doesn't really take that long either. Of course this probably isn't very effective with animation.
I' glad this is still up after 6 years. I learned something because I don't have a drawing tablet and the mouse with Photoshop or Tahoma2D will be the way I go for now. Thanks again coming from Canada

My first animation on my channel was done with a mouse it took me 3 days to make a 9 second animation.
Now I'm using a cheap drawing tablet huion h430p and it's much easier and faster than a mouse.
Hoping to get a pen display graphic tablet soon like a wacom cintiq. It gonna make my animation process so much easier and faster.

I had low expectations, but this turned out to be useful. + 1 subscriber.
Does the coloring process come after you create the full sequence first? or is it easier to create the character in full color (with details and all) first and then work from there?
Creating the full sequence first would be better. That way you can alter the images after you have seen the whole sequence, without having to color it again. Though in practice you would probably have a character reference model that's colored to ensure you stay on character (but this is not part of the sequence itself).

It says if you click ''Control'' You could strecth it and stuff,
but in Mac you click ''command'' while holding a pointy edge.
i dont have a pen tablet but i always use a mouse and because of that i cant work on my project it always comes out trashy when i use a mouse so its being cancled for the future😞😞

Hi, im new to al' this. Thid was greatt video thank you! Im learning to do animation and want to use adobe animate and Im wondering, do i need a tablet and a stylus pen or can I just buy a stylus and draw on the table or some flat surface ? Also, im looking to do short 1min snimation as quickly as possib'e for socisl media so my cjaracter wil' dance, and move but wont be using fulll background animations because character will' be only doing talking or dancing or moving around funny and il use adobe premiere to do some camera and cut outs. Whats easiest snd fasted to product daily animation that wont tale top long ? Also i found a veilkl a15 on sale on amazon for 57$ amazon choice with over 2k reviews, would that be a good choice for me ?

it is possible to animate really good using only mouse.. although it'll take longer to make good animations but it is possible!

drawing with my mouse was very frustrating. I have a small pad, limited work space and the mouse is normally faulty. but I can't really afford different.
Hope You get a better working situation lol im kind of in the same boat haha laptop, no money, mouse, though i don't have a mouse pad i just use what ever surface is to the right of me whether it be a table or my floor or where i feel like sitting also i killed the laptop battery by leaving it charging too long one too many times so if the laptop gets unplugged it dies imediately but hey have a good day or night :D

Wacom intuous are under 100 dollars, I still use the same variant I got years ago( it was called wacom bamboo back then). I recommend any animating software you can get your hands on, it's not that important. And the biggest tip I can give you is to just put in the working hours, you will not get better overnight, but you will definitely see massive improvements over time if you keep at it. Good luck!
