Since I wanted to know what the Boox was doing in the background I decided to setup a closed network and monitor all traffic using Wireshark

Did you test without logging into your BOOX account? In other words is it more secure if you don’t log into the boox cloud? Thank you very much for this!

tbh, I don't even use the Boox account that much since all I care about is the PDF backups it makes to my own host. I'll see if I can logout without losing that sync and do another quick test.
