If I were the Cavs, I'd hire him and get rid of Lue. Yeah sure they won a chip with him, but he was pretty much Lebron's puppet. Now don't get me wrong I like Lebron as a player, but he has and abuses his power too much as the face of the franchise. Lue is terrible as a coach when it comes to player rotations (he's playing Lebron too much) and developing young talent. Not to mention he's pretty much at fault for their horrible defense at the start of the season. Seeing as how the Grizzlies were one of the best defensive teams last year and this year somewhat, I bet he could improve the Cavs' defense

Fizdale also knows and coached LeBron back in Miami so there is some respect there if he happens to coach the Cavs buts thats a bit of a stretch.

Clearly injuries and mediocre play from role players is the main problem with the Grizzles. Fizdale was a solid coach. I guarantee they will not do much better without him

2kool 4U Conley deserved the bag n Rudy was kinda inefficient he would give you 17-25 on 37-44% he was a ball stopper if Rudy was a good 2/3 option then he probably could give 20 50%

out of all the outlandish stuff SAS and Max usually say on a daily basis lol, this is actually a very insightful take on this situation and an actually analysis of the situation backed up with statistics. I wish they would do this more. Someone will pick up Fizz, he earned just about everyone's respect after he stuck his neck out for his team against the spurs last year in the playoffs, including Pops respect. Fizz and Brad are the two young up and coming player oriented "for the players" coaches and that won't change because of this.

As a Grizzlies fan I do think it was a bit unfair but, you also have to look at it from the players perspective too. He wasn't liked by many of the players. Last year ZBO left because of the way they made him come off the bench. Tony Allen didn't like him to the point where when his number got retired he thanked everyone except Fizdale. There was an interview with Mario Chalmers in a interview yesterday and he said something like " I had heard there were a lot of problems with the team and Fiz but I hadn't seen it." When Fizdale had his famous "Take that for date." quote Marc acted like he had never heard him say that in an interview. So there has been a lot of bad blood brewing over for quite some time now

Between Hollins, Joerger and now Fizdale, I don't think there's another team in pro sports the last 4-5 years that can make a great hire, make a terrible decision to fire, then make another great hire just to make the same terrible decision. Greg Pop is infamous for keeping all 5 starters on the bench if he feels like the backups are playing better and give them the best chance to win. Could you imagine LA complaining about not getting put back in and the Spurs firing Pop? How often does a team choose a player, no matter how good, over a coach and it goes well? That same player is going to find something else to be dissatisfied with, whether it's his contract, the roster, another coach, the GM. Something. Either a player is focused on himself or he's going to complain. You can't make major decisions like that based on one player complaining
