I’m torn between a granite and big rock for my son... this will be his first 30+mph RC car. He loves the look of the big rock but I like that the granite looks to be sturdier for a boy that will most definitely be jumping it. Thank you for all the videos they really help!
@@urge251980 when I was debating these two trucks, I saw another comparison video that lead me to thinking the Big Rock was better. Consider that the longer wheelbase alone could mean less flipping. Less flipping = less chance of breakage. There were a few other reasons though that I don’t recall. I went and got my son a Losi LMT Grave Digger instead.

Turn on radio. Turn car off. Then on the car, press and hold the little button in front of on/off switch and turn switch on. When the esc starts beeping and red light is flashing, let go of the button. With throttle trigger on remote in neutral press and release small button again. Full throttle, press again, full brake, press again. Turn switch off and then back on.
I have both V1s and it was a toss up. They both are amazing BUT I had to modify my BRCC quite a bit to get it to perform better. With that said I Iean toward the Granite as the better value. But it may be different with the changes they made to the V3 BRCC! That widened stance is a huge improvement!
Big rock had me at longer and wider chasis. New favorite arma 3s platform without having owned any of them yet. Looking to upgrade from my 2s brushless redcat volcano epx soon. The tolerances on the redcat are terrible and it really shows at speed, Squirrely AF!
Killed two servo now on my senton the new design major flaw now is when something gets in the horn behind it can't get out what the now open area just traps it the 1st was a rock the 2nd was a peace of a stick both around pinky tip thick . I think I have a good fix but not sure will need to test more simple people will say why didn't they do this before ? Lol
For a new guy getting into the hobby, would you suggest the big rock or granite? I currently have an ECX torment ( its POS), which I'll be giving to my teenager. I am looking for an all-around fun truck for myself and an activity to do with my sons. But to be honest, I am more partial to the big rock primarily based on its looks...

I just did a chassis swap by making my Granite a Big Rock. It wheelies so much less. Now I have to find a body that fits well. I am still using the Granite body but just had to drill new holes. Looks a little bit weird. I’ll probably just wait till the BRCC bodies are back in stock.
The big rock is a wheelie machine if you want it to be. No need to loosen the slipper. You need to change the punch settings in the ESC. You can find it in the manual or on UA-cam. You can do stand still back flips if you up the punch.
Which would be better on an outdoor dirt track? Same, I guess? They are both considered bashers, right? Going voltage for my kid but might get one of thee for myself because I have an old gas revo that I'm sick of playing with and a losi mini 8 that isn't great for bashing. 😕

They both have something on them that is a little different than the other but everyone is a little different than someone else too. So does that make them better ? I don't think so . Bottom line is if you are in the market for one then whichever one you choose have fun with it because that is really what it's all about anyway .
Nice video nan. For the bigrock any body that fits a slash will fit on the big rock same goes for the senton and the typhon same wheelbase. For the granite any body that fits a stampede will fit perfectly
My big rock seems faster? Didn’t gps it. The body holds up on the big rock, the granite body crushed in the rear. The wiring on all the 3s needs to be installed forward to avoid damage. Great video!

Good comparison. Do you see yourself needing to mod them to make them any better or are they good out of the box? If somebody already had batteries with Deans, is there an adapter available? Do the diffs and other gears seem to take the beating? Giving you plastic on a Mega is an insult. You might as well save a few more bucks and get the better stuff right off the bat.
@@airbornerc4654 I got mine 9 days ago and I bash it so hard. Everything is OK the only issue is the rear place of the body. A lot of big scratches caused by a lot of wheelies and crashes

Yes you can: I did it recently on my Granite v3. I used the arrma typhon a-arms (RPM brand) and longer turnbuckles (6) 4 front and 2 in the rear AR330542 (Arrma part #) Rear a-arms #80842 Front a-arms #80762 Look it up there's videos on how to upgrade wider suspension for the Granite.

Did you not see my superspeed Saturday test on it.? The big rock I could not get up to full speed. Go back and see my speedruns on it and you'll see that I tested both for top speed

My big rock did the same thing the other day. It had steering and no throttle. I just had to recalibrate the throttle.

Got problems to run the big rock at 3s in a straight line but i put a gyro in it now its fine.

I'm pretty sure the big rock is quicker both on and off road. It's more stable and has tires that don't balloon nearly as bad as the granite.
