Biggest problem with sonos is that you cannot remotely control speakers (outside the wifi network). That is if you are not home to switch them off or to put music on for someone that struggles at home with the speakers. (I can control alarm zones, cameras, gates, aircons remotely but not sonos) . I have 6 sonos speakers and a big pain and inconsistent. Frequently Alexa will fall off some speakers and other speakers will disappear from the app while it can still play manually or you have to reinstall one or two speakers again. They are like one year old kids: you have constantly give attention to them to keep them working. Nothing wrong with the sound - So yes if it works, it is working well but a few days thereafter you can sit for hours to reinstall, close and open the app, switch the speakers on and off, reboot the router, retry installing, reset the speakers, and on and on and on. I just dont have the time to baby sit 6 speakers. So most of the time something is not working. Will surely give denon a try,

Yes, you can control sonos from outside by proper Smart Home system which is integrated by api.
