I love this interview for many reasons than I can text about here. I'm kind of taken back when I hear coach Mills talk about his views and knowledge concerning the Jamaican T&F industry and its participants. I'm directly impacted and invested in every thing he spoke about but, I see Jamaica T&F as an oasis of local and global opportunity. Speed (T&F) needs to be harnessed and exported for profit just like any natural resource in Jamaica. The issue I have with T&F is they are always waiting for private or government sectors to advance talent and financial growth. The only way to address the issues affecting T&F in Jamaica and other countries is to look internal, those that are personally and directly invested. Step away from old conversations and create a new way of seeing T&F, a dimensional shift to see things full of opportunity that has a rippling affect of prosperity... Glen Mills, I look to speak with you in person soon!

I don`t think Bolt had anything to do with Yohan`s injuries. Yohan was injured when he first met Glen Mills. I also believe that Yohan Blake pushes his body too much and doesn`t allow himself to recover well. He used to train more than Bolt, which obviously paid off at first but seemed harsh on his body after. I remember Usain saying that Yohan refused to accept the coach`s plan for recovery and wanted to do his own thing. Usain on the other hand listened to everything the coach said. The back lash was unnecessary but I don't think she peaked early. She actually started her season late with 10.63 being only her 4th 100m for the season. Also if you pay close attention to the race, there was a following wind of 1.3m/s, which means if there was not wind her time becomes 10.70. In the post race interview she didn't expect to run that fast this early and she was working on different parts of her race. She didn't peak to early it was an unfortunate stumble on her 3rd step that caused stand up her drive phase early and couldn't regain her composure.

Andrew Holiness not doing nothing for sport only making pretty speech every parish should have a sport and culture centre where they embrace track and field' boxing', kick boxing swimming ' football , teaching the youth how to play saxphone drum trumpet guitar. Look in Jamaica we r too sterotype every want to be a teacher doctor nurse lawyer dj what happen to the art ? I never hear a youth say him want to be a boxer what boxer earn in five minute can take a doctor to earn in a life time or it took a teacher to earn a month it can take a saxahonist to earn in a day

To be fair some countries were opened up for athletes training at the highest level long before others. So to say conditions were the same for every country isn't a true statement. It would be true to say all athletes have been affected by the Pandemic.... but of course this would be to varying degrees.

If you have a storm coming and you reside inside of a very well built mansion then of course you’ll have the upper hand from the guy lives in a board house. And trust me, Jamaica has many board houses. Bottom line is the US and other countries have unlimited resources at their disposal to deal with the pandemic. Not to mention the best psychologists.
