Lovely video here - I love a good ramble like this. Don Delillo seems overhyped to me too! How awesome are library sales, eh? Hope you have a good one :) and that you keep up with your rambly videos
Hey, Hungarian here! Magda Szabó is one of our important authors, I haven't read Katalin street yet, but if you have it, I recommend The Door from her, it is truly an amazing and shocking, yet beautiful novel. I just hope that the English translation gives justice to the gorgeous language she uses:)
I do have a copy of The Door! I've heard a lot of good things about it. I have that, The Fawn, Iza's Ballad, and now Katalin Street, but haven't read any of them yet 😂 I think The Door will be the first one I'll read since I've heard such good things about it. I have a feeling I'm going to love it since so many people whose tastes overlap with mine rave about it-that's why I don't feel so bad about hoarding copies of her books even though I haven't read them yet.
@@libraryofbabble She’s also a highly awarded and praised author in my country, so especially don’t feel bad for hoarding her, she was an excellent writer!! I was really surprised to see her on the list though, I know a lot of her books got translated into many languages, but I’m still always (happily) shocked when I see foreigners reading anything from her:)
