  • Shrimp Ceviche is so refreshing and easy to make. All of the ingredients are designed to pack a wallop of nutrition and explode with flavor. It’s got Onions, Peppers, Tomatoes, Avocado, Cucumber and a list of other seasoning’s and ingredients you’re going to love. You can serve this with chips, eat it plain as a salad, serve as a Tostada or, my favorite, as a Cocktail in a glass with Clamato! Read More... poormansgourmet...

      I love the fact your ingredients can be found in my kitchen at any given time...I'm from New Orleans and you do my kind of cooking...with lots flavor

      brownsuga504 That's definitely one of my main goals for most recipes; some recipes, however, do require some special buying and that's often unavoidable but for me it makes the cooking that much funner! Thanks for your input and for watching.

    Looking great! I would have used some of that precious lemon lime juice in the veggies. Flavour and make sure that avocado stays bright green.

      +puffalump76 I knew you'd love it. Thanks for getting back to me on this. I have a ton of haters that think the shrimp should be cooked in lime only. But in my opinion this is much more savory to eat because the shrimp isn't pasty like it would be cooked in just citrus. ;-)

    you suppose to cook the shrimp in lime juice but looks good

    • @PMGK
      @PMGK  9 років тому +1

      +Shakeel Robinson Yes, that's right... but unlike fish, shrimp turns into a strange and funny texture, with lime juice only, that most people won't stomach that easy if they're not used to traditional ceviche. Cooking it this way will help average people make the adjustment. Besides, It's still really good this way!

    If you marinate it longer will it over cook it or make the shrimp tuff? I want to make ahead in the morning for an evening party

    • @PMGK
      @PMGK  8 років тому +1

      Just don't mix in the lime until you're ready to go.

  • @iris.monroe
    @iris.monroe 8 років тому +1

    How long did you boil the shrimp ?

    • @PMGK
      @PMGK  8 років тому +3

      Like I said in the video, they were steamed, literally, for just one minute.

  • @juancamilooviedo5389
    @juancamilooviedo5389 9 років тому

    Lime juice is the base of the ceviche, should keep it in the final product

    • @PMGK
      @PMGK  9 років тому

      Juan Camilo Oviedo Right you are! The reason why I don't is because it continues to cook the shrimp until it turns into that rubbery texture, and I usually make so much there's left overs for the fridge and this just goes to shit over night in there if I leave it in.

  • @KidnapSix

    • @PMGK

  • @reginacoto4391

    you leave in the lime juice thats what makes it ceviche and the shrimps are raw you let the lime sort of cook the shrimp just a heads up

    • @PMGK
      @PMGK  9 років тому +2

      Yes Regina, you are correct. That is how it is normally done. So why did I do it this way?
