    thank you for trying to help, but do you think that was helpful without seeing how you put the 2 belts back on!? where did you got the tool from, no link for it, what is it called?

      Thanks for the feedback. I tried to show the belt's installation, but it was too tight of a space to get with the camera setup I had at that time. So I explained the process. Thanks for pointing out that the link to the tool was missing. I have added it to the video description. Here is the link - amzn.to/3kLZcyH 👍

    How long did the process take you? Where did you purchase the belts from? Thanks for the great video!

    My AC is straight blowing hot. Is there a chance that it could be a bad fuse over the compressor?

    My ghibli is having a rough idle almost jumpy and when I’m neutral turns off exhaust sputters, fuel injectors? Have you done anything on fuel injectors before ??

      I am glad they are helping you out. I am no mechanical expert by any means, but I am hoping to help people as I discover new things about these cars.

    Hey, was the 32mm socket to turn the crank a 6 point or a 12 point? Thanks.

    An do you actually have to remove the alternator belt to get to the main drive an the compresser?

    • @DriveTalkCars
      @DriveTalkCars  4 роки тому +1

      Since my intentions were to change both belts anyway I didn’t really pay attention to if the alternator belt had to come off. I want to say it does, but again I’m not 100%. I would recommend just changing both of you can. 👍🏽

    Hi Ben, Thank you so much for your videos. You’ve save me tons of money. My mechanic is changing these to belt tomorrow with oil change and spark plugs using your videos 😀. Question I ran across a Maserati forum that spoke about the water pump belt and hydraulic steering pump. Please forgive me not knowing how to word his. Have you change changed your water pump belt and are they speaking about changing the steering pump fluid only. Thank you for any help

      Or is the compressor belt the same as the water pump belt

    • @DriveTalkCars
      @DriveTalkCars  4 роки тому +1

      So there are two belts Compressor Driving Belt and Alternator Driving Belt. Alternator belt operates alternator (hence the name 😁) and compressor driving belt operates power steering, water pump, AC compressor. I changed both belts. The compressor driving belt uses a tensioner pulley. However...the alternator belt does not and will require a tool as I mentioned in video.

    Did you have to do anything special after removing the belt to get to the compressor?

    • @DriveTalkCars
      @DriveTalkCars  4 роки тому

      No, nothing special. I released the tension off the compressor belt and that was all.

    Are those called the serpentine belts? How many miles did your car have ?

    • @DriveTalkCars
      @DriveTalkCars  4 роки тому

      Yes, they have a serpentine belt (as referred to as drive or compressor belt) and Aux or alternator belt.

    Those two bolts under the throttle body were a mofo for me. Not so much that it took any special skill just annoying. I fully agree taking pics along the way is a very good idea!

    I couldn’t see what you did at all. I just see ya hand in there . How did you actually take the belt off and put it on? I just see ya hand in there .

    • @DriveTalkCars

      There is a specific tool used. The space is very tight, hard to get a camera in there to show exactly the process.
