But the thing is, SHE doesn't want to retire. You can see her fighting to stay active despite her condition.
In fact, she's deeply in denial about her condition which makes matters worse because it's nearly impossible for anyone on the outside to be able to do anything without physically restraining her and forcing her to do things against her will.
And Wendy's will is incredibly strong ...to a fault.

Yes, but she doesn't have her money. How is the bank going to justify they have her interest at heart by freezing her money while she is home drinking and not getting the proper care, with some guardian getting her money. Her one son she fought so hard to have was thrown out of his apartment while others living lavishly. Shameful.

I don't know about that, I think it really comes down to Wendy loved her husband more than she loved herself sadly. Because of what she was doing her job it was a tough pill for her to swallow when something this humiliating happened to her, it broke her and I understand. I find it very strange that now there are all of these statements, supposedly from Wendy, that she is basically happy to be in the guardianship. Like, if that's the case, why can't her family go and see her?? Wouldn't she say the same thing to them face-to-face, if that's true? This reminds me of Britney Spears, where her "family" were consistently feeding the media the narrative that she needs the conservatorship that they were benefitting from.

The family is taking advantage of her too, though. The courts usually always side with family, no matter what. Look at what happened to Britney, for example.
In Wendy's case: the banks and courts had too much evidence that her family is unfit to handle her money. The family was the one bleeding her dry before the courts took over. Her sister tried to take control of the Wendy show after her diagnosis. Her son (helped by the nephew, Wanda's son) was caught funneling 100k to himself for a birthday party, which is what alerted the banks in the first place. How do you find out your mom has dementia and spend 120k on UberEats in one month?
Her family, her staff, the conservator.. all sick. It looks like there is a lot the public don't know about her family, which is why the courts skipped over them. That's a big deal because they always pick family.. I pray for her, this is a nightmare. She has NO ONE..

    • @HH-gv8mx

@@jasonk9419 her family was taking advantage of her financially. And I’m sure Wendy always sensed that and she kept her distance. She did spend way too much on her son and his lavish lifestyle in Miami getting him into that expensive apartment that cost over $1 million a year to rent .

@@HH-gv8mx The thing here is, if Wendy is comfortable and has alot of money, who does she want spending it? Her bank and guardian, or her son? I watched the entire document and almost cried a few times. It suck’s to see anyone health deteriorate right before your eyes. I also see the family’s pain. I haven’t personally known someone who battles addiction (and I hope I never do) but the family who actually cares for Wendy probably feels so helpless. They’ve tried everything. She was almost back on track, just for some stranger to be her guardian and let Wendy spiral into her addictions. I feel for her son but I especially feel for her dad. He’s like 80? Or 90? Imagine seeing your own baby, your own CHILD that you raised go through addiction and dementia (a disease commonly associated with old age) must be heartbreaking.

The sad part about all of this is that if something were to happen to Wendy like she passes - her family would then be expected to bury her and hold her funeral. Also her so called guardian is getting a salary from her money as well. This whole thing seems a bit extreme. Her niece and her sister both seem capable of being legal guardians. I think that she needs to be in a treatment center where her family can come visit her. When there's a loving and caring family involved, it helps tremendously.

I can tell you first hand the frontal temporal dementia is about the worst form of dementia to be diagnosed with. I had a very close coworkers sisters diagnosed with the disease. I was fortunate to visit her in a hospice care facility. Luckily, she remembered me from our time working together. I was very fortunate she remembered me. We were close friends at work. She was a few years younger than I. I was shaken to my core when I learned of her diagnosis. I never heard of her type of dementia. Yes, I had been around Alzheimer’s & Dementia patients. It was my first for frontal. Some professionals are trying to call it Diabetes Type 3. These other people have no link to being Diabetic’s. They were skinny people too. I know obesity isn’t the main cause of Diabetic’s. I’m still not sure what aphasia is. My friend passed less than 6 months after I saw her. I think she lived 1 1/2 years after diagnosis. Yes, she will continue to get angry that is a part of it. There’s no cure because it’s so very new. Food may go flying. Paranoia will set in. They won’t remember if they ate or not. They will get scared because they won’t understand what’s happening to them. I hope & pray for Wendy & her family especially her son! Amen!

One of the main characteristics of dementia is mean spirited and aggressive personality. If you google “characteristics of dementia” you’ll see that Wendy 100% has these characteristics. Dementia completely changes the personality. They’re not themselves at all. As the dementia progresses the person become meaner and meaner. It’s not anything they can control by themselves. I personally always thought she was disgusting.
Looks like a cheap street walker.
      Zero class.
      What goes around...

What's this thing with guardianships? We have something similar in Bulgaria but the family always has control. This thing in the US is just ridiculous.

Happened to my dad. Glad her story is being told. People with hepatic encephalopathy or any sort of dementia with alcoholism do not know what is happening to them and need constant support, kindness and empathy.

what crimes has britney committed since she’s been free? just because she might be doing things some people don’t agree with doesn’t mean she’s suffering or not capable of making decisions for herself 🙄

That’s a lot of trauma for someone to go through in a short period of time. Enough to send anyone into a spiral. Wishing her the best, she was a wonderful talk show host, said what we all were thinking.

Congratulations to Alyssa's sister. Addiction is a hard beast to manage. My husband just fell off the wagon this week after over 2 months sober. 11 years would be a godsend

I miss Wendy sooo much and really thought she was coming back. Dementia was a turn I was not expecting, and the life expectancy for her form is up to 13 years. 😢

We all must go thru the process of dying at some point. This doc shouldn’t have aired. No one needs to see Wendy going thru this phase of her life. Praying for Wendy and her family and friends. 😢❤
