- This weeks video was the last film we made before Uk's second lockdown. We revisited a beach we haven't been to in a few months and found some of our most beautiful finds ever! We also met some of you wonderful subscribers! Come with us and see what we found

I love the premieres and getting to interact with Kate and Fleur and other mudlarks and mudlarking fans. I also get to learn some words and customs from fans that post from other countries. The video leaves me with a happy feeling of interesting finds, beautiful scenery and the camaraderie of people with similar interests. A great way to start Sunday mornings and looking forward to Mudmas! Thank you Kate and Fleur!

Was looking at those collar studs-- and I've thought this before, but I'll say it out loud now. You should make a *chess set* . I know. It'll take some time for all those pieces, but LOOK at those collar studs! And consider the potential of the various partial bodies and heads you find! Just a thought. Cheers from Maine!
I thought the collar studs were small pawns for chess. I have metal straws that came with a round bristle brush, maybe it would fit to clean the tiny bottle. I purchased it at Amazon.com.
I was thinking the same thing! We also bought some straws from our local supermarket that came with a cute little brush to clean them! 😃

Where else would you find...a rather large chandelier prism...a tiny, muscled arm...a grinning cat and his dog companion...jewels!!...the most gorgeous Mickey Mouse bottle stopper...spotted, colourful glass...and beads (because they are, in fact, never boring!) plus...the most amazing, swirly, smoky marble? Every trip, they find “something excellent!” Pour a cup of tea, add a biscuit and put your feet up... and come along, armchair travellers, to the Kit and Caboodlers world!! ❤️🇨🇦❤️

After the big art deco bead there was the long sort of aqua bead... we call that a bugle bead in the US!!

I have a dripping bottle (same colour) which gets occasional use still; they are handy for titrations when a carefully controlled delivery is necessary (without using a burette). The v -groove functions by capillarity.
At 19:04 when you picked up the bead, did you grab the bottle stopper to your left? I know you were excited! 🥰😁🤪 Love your videos!

I agree that the stopper looks like a rooster! That was my first thought. Your clear ring glass beads look like Dutch donuts (a trade bead) but they may be something newer.

I'm a collector and crafter too but I don't have access to the kind of finds you do. I do find amazing things though. I live near Yosemite California USA. The yellow and red glass baubles could be arms with mittens at the end. Just a thought to craft them that way. This outing is amazing. Don't ever apologize for the things you find, Kate. It's not like you can control what the tides and waves deposit . I thoroughly enjoyed watching you get that incredible stopper, Kate. I so want to come to London and England or Wales or Scotland; anywhere in the U.K. just to mudlarking.

One thing I'd love to find most, if I knew where this beach was, are pieces of old, patterned pottery to add to make into a mosaic mirror frame for our bathroom.

Your laughter, and joy at all the wonderful and unique things you find. Your UV glass bead is by Neiger Bros. The Northerns found half a pendant by Neiger a couple of videos ago. The beads are distinctive and I recognised it straight away (I deal in vintage jewellery) and hoped you'd shine a UV light on it!!! The Neiger brothers were Jewish and sadly the family was murdered by the Nazis in WWII, but the Northerns tell you much more

The large green "marble" isn't a marble, it is a bit of glass used to make stain glass back in the day. It is very pretty! I have about a dozen of them from an estate sale. Thank you for sharing.

I just love all the things you find and the scenery is beautiful.
Mudlarking finds teach us history. I have been to Germany, Turkey, Italy, San Merino, Spain, Japan, Korea, Philippines and in only a few of states in my country. It is wonderful that you are sharing your country's foreshores with us. Watch several British law enforcement channels. Scottish mudlarking is a combination of visiting tips, foreshore, and views of the country.😊
