This movie is the first one that has left me speechless at the end. An absolute experience. It left me heartbroken, and yet, satisfied. This movie literally sends you into the process of mourning. Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. And when the acceptance comes around, you understand that every single story thread, every single detail, was fleshed out and completed, while opening a few new ones for the sequel. Infinity War is by far, the best, most well fleshed out sequel/in-between-quel of all time. Juggling these dozens of characters, each with their own personalities and story threads, is an absolutely monumental task for the Russo brothers, and they NAILED it. By far my favorite Marvel film ever. It horrifies, shocks, makes you laugh, angers you, and leaves you wanting more, despite the gut-wrenching punches the movie throws at you. A complete cinematic experience. That's the best way to describe this movie; complete, but open for more.
Yes. My thoughts put into words. I'm pretty sure there's no plot holes. If there were potential for some they stopped it with Strange looking into the future. Smart
Thor entrance in Wakanda hits different when you realize Nat/Cap haven’t seen Thor in 2 years. Banner thought Thor died in Space and Wakanda is seeing Thor for the 1st time. Probably questioning and changing their religious beliefs
Why would seeing Thor make Wakandans question anything? They're an extremely advanced civilisation and Thor has been seen on Earth multiple times in very high profile fights, they know exactly who he is ^^
Now imagine watching this when it came out in 2018 and then having to wait a WHOLE YEAR before you could watch endgame, that came out in 2019, in order to find out what happens!!! That was so torturous!!!
@@Italo-Mateus Thanos kicked Thor's ass in the beginning of the movie (despite that he only had 1 stone in his gauntlet). Then, he wiped the floor with Dr. Strange's face as well during the battle on Titan. The theory that Thanos had to wait for Odin, Ego, and the Ancient One to die before he could start collecting the stones does have merit because they're the only beings powerful enough to destroy him. Another reason Thanos waited so long to get the stones is that like Thor said, nobody knew where the soul stone is nor have they seen it but once Thanos looked at Nebula's memory banks, he found out that Gamora has found the location of the soul stone.

OMG I went to see it in theaters on release day and the energy of the whole theater at the end was like palpable depression literally NOBODY clapped, just sobs and confusion and denial like the entire audience was going through all 5 stages of grief at once. @Enya Moore yeah I agree even though his dad died I do believe he still has that power and maybe it might come into play in the next guardians movie or Thors movie

Spiderman and any other fast healer - like Wolverine - would take a while to dust. And they'd feel it the whole time, like their body is fragmenting and reforming from the inside-out.
@@user-fe3jx4bd2f No. There were others with superhuman endurance and healing that did not have a chance to resist. In the comics, when the metaphysical entities opposed Thanos with the Gauntlet, Spider-Man could sense when Master Order and Lord Chaos were subject to Thanos' omnipotence.
To make Spider-Man's death even sadder, the only reason we got his "I don't want to die" speech because his Spider-Sense told him that something was happening to him.
Mary "He talks too much, especially when he's fighting." Long time Spider-Man fans: "Welcome to being a Spider-Man fan lol." That goes way back to the beginning of the comics.
I mean she was the only character in Endgame that could've fucked him up & literally ripped him apart all on her own if it weren't for the plot interrupting their fight.
The crazy badass part I always remember is Cap holding Thanos at the gauntlet with his bare hands alone. Thanos actually looking at him with curiousity and surprise is still an amazing scene to me. A human, one of the strongest superhumans, was holding against Thanos on bare strength alone even for a few moments.
That scene in Wakanda when Thor appears was when the whole theater just went NUTS! It was the most amazing and exciting moment I have EVER experienced in a movie theater! 👏

You've been on quite a rollercoaster ride, Mary. All of these movies and beloved characters leading up to this point. Enjoying your MCU journey so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ it's not over yet
Seeing this movie in the cinema on opening night was one of the most memorable moviegoing experiences of my life. Rivaled only by Endgame. It was incredible going through that emotional rollercoaster with everyone else. At the end as person after person died, the audience got more and more upset. We all got to yell and cry and be upset together.

Well, first she must edit the UA-cam version of her reactions. From the sounds of it, we won't see Endgame until the end of January or early February.
I feel that Infinity War and Endgame is just one, big, long movie split into two parts. In a good portion of these superhero movies, the villain almost always has to win the first round to illiterate the threat. Infinity War is basically the first round. Endgame is when the heroes triumph.
Definitely my favorite movie in the entire marvel series because of how unpredictable it was and it had so many funny moments of all of them meeting each other!
I don't think I have ever seen such sadness or shock on people's faces when I went to see the movie at the end. It was like we woke up from a nightmare.
The directors revealed after the fact that Groot's last words ("I am Groot", duh) translate to english as... "Dad!". Makes it even more heartbreaking on a rewatch.
In the scene when Peter Parker is decimating the directors revealed it took him longer because his spider sense was warning him before hand and trying to protect him but ultimately nothing could be done so he decimated ofc but I think they also talked about how unlike everyone else Peter actually felt it
Spiderman said I'm sorry when he got snapped away because in spiderman homecoming Tony told him if Peter died he would blame himself their for spiderman said sorry right before he "died"
Well written characters, sticking close to what was established in comics, especially in terms of their powers and personality is what made the MSU successful. Plus a good story in which said characters gets to display their powers/personality but also grow though various plot devices. It worked really well for these 19 films as of this reaction. Unlike another 40+ year old franchise where the head honcho stated: "There’s no source material. We don’t have comic books." when making the new films.
Those monsters in Wakanda are called outriders. Each of them has six arms. And the four villains working for Thanos are the Dark Order. They're also Gamora and Nebula's siblings by adoption. Nebula brielfly mentioned them in the first Guardians film. These are their names: Ebony Maw, the leader who captured Doctor Strange and froze out in space Corvus Glaive, the guy with the spear who weakened Vision Proxima Midnight, the woman who fought Black Widow Cull Obsidian, the big guy with the chain hammer.
The music for the scenes where Gamorra and Vision died was DEVASTATING!! Also, Peter Parker's death always hits harder because all the others are battle-hardened in their own way, but he’s just a high school kid caught up in a bizarre situation.
I really hoped that Dr. Strange wouldn't say "1" there... Why not 5? lol. That's either really clichee, or he just stopped after he found the first one, which would be really dumb
Agreed. Isn't there at least one where Thanos accidentally falls and breaks his neck or something similar? Sure, it would be anticlimactic, but not one of the timelines going that route sounds fishy to me. Are you also saying in every reality Thor doesn't take the headshot? Again, sounds like Dr. Strange just got lazy.
Also, I'd take the option where they tell Quill that Gamora is dead way before Thanos arrived, to prevent him from doing something so stupid. Then, they took te Gaunlet and fucked him. Just Gamora dying, not a future where three Avengers died. That 1 possible future is SO dumb.
100% agree. That 1 out of God knows how many cases was so stupid it literally took me out of the movie, especially if that one case depends on a fucking mouse activating the Ant-Man machine, like wtf lol There were at least a dozen instances where they could've handicapped or straight up killed him if it weren't for the plot.
thing is: Dr. Strange looked ahead at the last minute and only saw one option; He SHOULD have rewound time to when Hulk first landed, I'd have bet at that point there were a ton of possible solutions or hell, popped Thanos' hand through a portal and closed it, it was established earlier that this cuts off the arm.
The whole movie's plot is about a guy trying to snap and make sure half of the universe 'cease to exist'. Thanos snaps and people start disappearing.... "What the heck is happening now? I am confused " 😂😂
I remember your first Iron Man reaction when you had a hard time rooting for Tony Stark’s character at first. Buckle your seatbelts for the final stretch towards Endgame.
I saw Infinity War opening night ... at the end when the screen went black it was absolute silence. Everyone was in shock, stunned into unbelieving silence. I'm not sure if I heard sobbing but I saw it a second time at opening weekend and the sobbing among the crowd was more obvious. At opening night I sat in my car for a while marveling at this accomplishment at what they'd done. How many movies did it take to get here, 18? Later on youtube you could find reactions after the movie groups of fans walking off into the night swearing loudly never to watch another Marvel movie ever again they were so upset and angry. It was "an event sociological." All of fandom was shook. Seven years it took to get to Thanos the Mad Titan.
I will never forget the silence and the crying when I saw this opening night. There was a couple leaving in front of me and she was inconsolable and he was walking with her as if she has just lost a loved one. And I just remember a feeling in my chest that I had never felt before nor probably ever will. Went five nights in a row total and after the second time I started watching the other peoples reactions because the reactions were insane, and every time the silence was deafening.

"At least I know Wanda and Vision make it out alive."
Me, out loud: oh sweetie,,
Imagine walking out of a theater when this came out, knowing you have to wait like a year for the next part 😂
Much like how the previous generation left the theater after watching The Empire Strikes Back, except without knowing for sure what the release date of Return of the Jedi would be.
I was counting the months and went to go see endgame for the premier
@@EntertainmentGym At least our generation knew that there was a year wait... and there’s also a thing called the internet, that allowed basically a global discussion among fans. Back in the days of “Empire”, fans didn’t know when the next one would be released, and there was no way to really vocalize thoughts with each other, other than just within your own circles; no UA-cam video to help fuel speculation haha
@@thedefinitionisthis No UA-cam back in the original trilogy, true. Only the letters column of the Star Wars Comic books by Marvel.
@@EntertainmentGym I would kinda disagree on that one. When people first saw Empire they all left the theater thinking "omg what the fuck is gonna happen next?" When people left the theater after Infinity War the majority was thinking "omg what trick will they use to reverse everything that happened?"
You’re theory was right actually. Thanos did use the time stone on his wound from Thor. Watch in slow motion and you’ll see it repair by green glow as it spits out the axe
Wow, I never noticed that. Good eye.
It has the other colors to
@@_Beau2005_ The wound sealed up using green. He was pulled back by the blue glow into the portal. If you watch the movie carefully he often activates several stones at once. Like throwing the moon. He broke it apart with power and sent it flying using space.
No, he used the soul stone to repair his wound, that's part of what the soul stone does.
@@phoenixforce6595 It absolutely cannot repair wounds. It’s the only stone that is “alive”. It’s powers are to create a soul universe and trap people and to be a dick about it with weird rules.
Smart
Quill lost all of his “godly” powers when his father died it says that in the movie

Thor entrance in Wakanda hits different when you realize Nat/Cap haven’t seen Thor in 2 years. Banner thought Thor died in Space and Wakanda is seeing Thor for the 1st time. Probably questioning and changing their religious beliefs
Other than Bruce literally no one has seen Thor in 2 years though.
mabe even 3 years because age of ultra took place in 2015 and infinity war is in 2018
Wakandan would never do that
@@adrienabbet905 yeah, age of ultra was a great movie lol
Why would seeing Thor make Wakandans question anything? They're an extremely advanced civilisation and Thor has been seen on Earth multiple times in very high profile fights, they know exactly who he is ^^
Now imagine watching this when it came out in 2018 and then having to wait a WHOLE YEAR before you could watch endgame, that came out in 2019, in order to find out what happens!!! That was so torturous!!!
The theory is Thanos waited to actively collect the Stones until Odin, Asgard, and Ego were out of the way.
Yes and the Ancient One as well
@@thomasschreiner527 I knew I was missing someone!
I also heard that he waited until the technology department was advanced enough to make him look as realistic as possible.
@@Italo-Mateus
Thanos kicked Thor's ass in the beginning of the movie (despite that he only had 1 stone in his gauntlet).
@@bluepearl_22 most plausible theory out here
Did you ever think you’d become this invested in these characters when you first started with Iron Man?
This movie!! OMG I went to see it in theaters on release day and the energy of the whole theater at the end was like palpable depression literally NOBODY clapped, just sobs and confusion and denial like the entire audience was going through all 5 stages of grief at once. I couldn't tell if I was at a theater or a funeral it was unreal!
Quill's Celestial powers only existed for as long as Ego was alive.
Quill does not create the energy, but he can process energy sources at those levels. Ego was less powerful than the Power Stone.
@Enya Moore yeah I agree even though his dad died I do believe he still has that power and maybe it might come into play in the next guardians movie or Thors movie
Well, Quill did hold the Power stone, so maybe some of that pace-magic got absorbed into him? Certainly ways they could give him some power if they want to.
Peter was scared due to having his spider sense so he could sense what was about to happen to him
that was just so sad everyone else just disappears but he just sees himself dying throughout the whole thing.
I also read a theory that his fast healing might maked him not go right away, almost like trying to fix him until it was inevitable
Spiderman and any other fast healer - like Wolverine - would take a while to dust. And they'd feel it the whole time, like their body is fragmenting and reforming from the inside-out.
@@user-fe3jx4bd2f correct
_Marvel confirmed that Wanda is currently the most powerful hero._
I mean she was the only character in Endgame that could've fucked him up & literally ripped him apart all on her own if it weren't for the plot interrupting their fight.
James Gunn translated Groot's final "I am groot" that he said to rocket and it meant "Dad." I kinda felt that one even more after I heard that.
I remember crying so much during this premier that my tears literally took off the black paint off the iMax glasses.

I was speechless when thanos snapped his fingers, was silent the whole way home after watching it in the movies. Roll on endgame 🙏🏻
I remember seeing this in the theater and the entire audience was silent or crying. It was so surreal...and we had to wait a year to find out what happens. You've been on quite a rollercoaster ride, Mary. All of these movies and beloved characters leading up to this point. Enjoying your MCU journey so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ it's not over yet
The end credit scene is kinda worth seeing for the upcoming films.
I think I'll cry with you when watching this :(

"Actually I'm fiftee-"
"NO! This is where you zip it, alright?! The adult is talking!"
yes, that's a homecoming reference
19:48 Burr in Hamilton said it best, "Death doesn't discriminate between the sinners and the saints, it takes and it takes and it takes."
I saw in an interview that Groot’s final “I am groot” to rocket was him saying “Dad” absolutely heartbreaking 💔💔
"He talks way too much"
That's kind of like spider-man's whole thing
I remember watching this in the theaters. There was just silenced in the theater after the movie ends
There is a end credit scene with Nick Fury at the end of Infinity war teasing a movie in the future.
She talks about it in the video
the only bad mcu movie.
She saw it, she discusses it in the video
She seen it. When she was doing all the R.I.P.'s, she mentioned Fury and Maria. But she's already watched all the MCU movies. They are just on standby to be released. Well, first she must edit the UA-cam version of her reactions. From the sounds of it, we won't see Endgame until the end of January or early February.
One of the best cinematic experiences of all time. I must have seen 30 reactions by now and I cry with the viewer every. single. time.
Me: Infinity War is a real tear jerker
Endgame: Hold my Infinity Gauntlet...
I feel that Infinity War and Endgame is just one, big, long movie split into two parts. In a good portion of these superhero movies, the villain almost always has to win the first round to illiterate the threat. Infinity War is basically the first round. Endgame is when the heroes triumph.
Girl when I saw this movie I cried for what felt like forever
Definitely my favorite movie in the entire marvel series because of how unpredictable it was and it had so many funny moments of all of them meeting each other!
I don't think I have ever seen such sadness or shock on people's faces when I went to see the movie at the end. It was like we woke up from a nightmare.
"I don't want to go" was a sad line. But it's got nothing on Agents of Shields "I think my legs broken".
"Hey Mack... I think my legs are broken..."
Exactly. Plus, unlike with this scene I actually felt the impact of Fitz' moment cause it wasn't as obvious that he would come back at first.
“I don’t want to go” is a sad line. It was also unscripted. Tom improvised that.
It's also not as sad as the 10th Doctor's regeneration.
"at least Quill's not dead"
2 seconds later...
you're not ready for Endgame lemme tell ya
The directors revealed after the fact that Groot's last words ("I am Groot", duh) translate to english as... "Dad!". Makes it even more heartbreaking on a rewatch.
When she said "it's in your feet" I was hitting a bowl and I coughed it all out my nose. It hurt but she's so funny I don't even mind 😂
I actually couldnt stop laughing when you were crying while saying "how could he throw a moon on them" lol I'm sorry
“At least I know that Wanda and Vision make it out alive”
mmmmmm about that....
Thanos is a very good example that a well-written villain is the hero of his own story.
In the scene when Peter Parker is decimating the directors revealed it took him longer because his spider sense was warning him before hand and trying to protect him but ultimately nothing could be done so he decimated ofc but I think they also talked about how unlike everyone else Peter actually felt it
I still cry at the end everytime I watch it. That movie really brings the water works
Going to need to watch "Antman and the Wasp" and "Captain Marvel" after this. Antman movie runs directly into Avengers Endgame.
She already watched the movies on patreon
Mary: "And he's 14..."
Me: Pretty sure he's 16 now but ok
Peter (starlord) doesnt have his powers anymore. It stopped after his dad died....i think he was the source.
Spiderman said I'm sorry when he got snapped away because in spiderman homecoming Tony told him if Peter died he would blame himself their for spiderman said sorry right before he "died"
Mary: “At least I know that Wanda and Vision make it out alive”
Me : oh
"Where's Ant Man? He hasn't shown up yet."
Oh I hope you didn't think the sadness was over.
Being in the cinema in 2018 and hearing an entire audience go "wtf" at the end 😂
28:09 Nick Fury and Maria Hill both vanished too, in the end credits scene. 💔
Me: *crying with mary about peter dying*
Mary: And he’s fourteen!
Me: *laughing and crying as peter dies*

Those monsters in Wakanda are called outriders. Each of them has six arms.
And the four villains working for Thanos are the Dark Order. They're also Gamora and Nebula's siblings by adoption. Nebula brielfly mentioned them in the first Guardians film.
These are their names:
Ebony Maw, the leader who captured Doctor Strange and froze out in space
Corvus Glaive, the guy with the spear who weakened Vision
Proxima Midnight, the woman who fought Black Widow
Cull Obsidian, the big guy with the chain hammer.
The music for the scenes where Gamorra and Vision died was DEVASTATING!! Also, Peter Parker's death always hits harder because all the others are battle-hardened in their own way, but he’s just a high school kid caught up in a bizarre situation.
„This is the Most I have cried in a Movie“
Endgame: Allow me to introduce myself.
@@normalgamergal he gets punched by hulk and nothing happens but he falls and breaks his neck lol totally understandable
100% agree. That 1 out of God knows how many cases was so stupid it literally took me out of the movie, especially if that one case depends on a fucking mouse activating the Ant-Man machine, like wtf lol
There were at least a dozen instances where they could've handicapped or straight up killed him if it weren't for the plot.
thing is: Dr. Strange looked ahead at the last minute and only saw one option; He SHOULD have rewound time to when Hulk first landed, I'd have bet at that point there were a ton of possible solutions
or hell, popped Thanos' hand through a portal and closed it, it was established earlier that this cuts off the arm.
Lin Manuel Miranda as Hamilton: "Just you waiiiiiiit"
The saddest moment in terms of Spiderman is that we always realize he's just a kid.
"If Thanos snaps half the universe dies."
Thanos: *snaps*
Mary: "I'm confused. What's happening?"
I know I'm gonna feel those feels once Mary sheds a tear in this one😭
Mary not watching the end credit scene: Maybe Nick Fury can reassemble them
Me :Yeah for sure 🙃
I. Did. Watch. It.
She did watch it, she mentioned Fury and Hill being dusted and that happened in the end credits. She just didn't show the scene on the screen.
@Mary Cherry Peter. Is. Not. 14.
The whole movie's plot is about a guy trying to snap and make sure half of the universe 'cease to exist'.
Thanos snaps and people start disappearing.... "What the heck is happening now? I am confused " 😂😂
Watching this in theatres was a very unique experience.
Everyone left.....shell-shocked.
