I beat the fuck out of my all motor k20 and k24 ek with ekk1 mounts and 32mm axles for two years without ever having an issue. If you launch you have to preload. Over 270-300hp I’d make sure to use the ekk2 mounts tho. Hit up Fred for rhd subframe. He can probably find one or has one. Lives in Florida too. Egkcoupe on UA-cam.

K is the way bro - buy once cry once. If you go B series you're going to 100% regret not going K swapped. Just be patient, do it right the first time and it will pay off ultimately. If it takes some time to find the parts so be it, focus on making it look dope until you can find what you want.
I had a turbocharged type R B series on my hatch I loved it but he is right about the supercharged K series. I have a super charged fully built R53 and the whine alone is the reason why I drive her over any other car that I have. My cars are fully built r56 turbo, MK4 VR6 fully built golf, s4 Audi turbo, and my baby 1969 bmw 2002 on a turbo stock built engine. The R53 is by far my favorite car to drive just to hear her whine.

The hatch definitely needs k24 but it also needs a turbski and all wheel drive conversion to put the power down…… can’t wait to see where the Honda goes though
B series is a dying breed. My neighbor for 20+ years swears by them. And I believe when spoon said, sleeved and fully built is good on a b series. That's all he builds.
My thoughts on B vs K. Built boosted B or K it doesn't matter since they will both be stout. All motor, go K since it makes easy power N/A. K motor is cheaper, but the supporting mods are where they get you to get the car running. B is getting more expensive but you don't need much to get the car running. BTW speedfactory civic has a B series since they have the formula down to make the car fast hence why they didnt build the new civic as a K

I respect the amazing technology of the K series ( I'm a Honda Guy for life) however I prefer the B series It matches 4th 5th 6th gen chassis better in terms of its height and how it sits in the engine bay. I am speaking from a circuit and handling perspective. I guess it's a different case when you're doing drag racing.
