is the data of the harddrive usable if we plug a sata to usb adapter ? Or are they protected by some kind of hardware ? Mine has a dead power alimentation .. and i want to get back the data on it !

Mine no longer works it needs an SMB1 service so I'm rescuing the drive and making it external USB. WD MBL I'm not so happy with
