I love fall fishing in SoCal! At times it is as good as springtime. Topwater is on fire for large aggressive LM bass but it is not limited to that pattern. Jig fishing is also a great producer around wood plus they love rock adjacent to deeper water. You are so right. They are shallow and deep and feeding on shad and crawfish.

You’re spot on regarding the fall feed, especially in Florida. In South and Central Florida, we experience four main seasons: summer, prespawn, spawn, and postspawn. Our summer typically starts in late May and lasts until early October. Once the weather cools, like it did a week ago, the bass start feeding actively, and the males begin preparing for the spawn. Later this month, the females will move up, and the prespawn/spawn cycle continues until February. From March to April, we see spawning and postspawn fish, with a few still guarding fry into May. By then, summer kicks in. Right now, we’re in the prespawn fall feed, with fish fattening up for the spawn. The peak fishing season runs from now until March/April.

Practice makes perfect. I went from fishing the Tennessee River my whole life to fishing big clear lakes in a highland Resivoir and I had to learn all over again.

I had to cover alot of water today looking for the bass. I was skunked until around 4pm. I caught 1 on a square bill crankbait and then found a pocket and ended up catching 9 largemouth. If you dont find the fish you're gonna have a long day of casting practice.

Great video explaining the frustration lol I think it has a lot to do with time of day. They seem to be more wary of their surroundings. The lake I fish is low 60’s and ready to turnover any day and my 2D sonar shows nothing on the screen but I’m seeing tons of fish with Down Imaging. I think they know I’m there lol

Last several days I've apparently just been practicing my casting 😂... I'm in the NE NYS area... Was 29 degrees this morning

I am slowly learning how to appreciate all of the seasons. Fall can definitely be frustrating but it's getting better. Winter is my favorite, spring second, summer then fall. But, I'm working on it. 👍🇺🇸

Teach me your ways. I'm lucky if I catch a single bass between Dec-Feb. Summer is my jam.

I need to thank you for making the video using the Krej. I always thought it to be a gimmick but gave it a shot and have been smashing them the past few weeks. Got 6th in a tournament this week and made some money. Immediately bought more baits. 😂

Whats crazy is finding the fish is kinda like choosing lures, we all know what works and where the fish are at but on certain days we going to chose certain things to throw bc we want to fish certain spots 😂

Hi, I'm from Portugal and I started bass fishing one year ago. I mainly fish in dams, lakes or reservoirs, and I exclusivly fish from banks. I don't own a boat nor will I ever do. So, as a bank angler, my fishing life is limited but still gratifying and fun. Fall and spring times are great for me, tough, but great brcause, like you said, bass can be anywhere in a body of water. Howevet, in the Summer time I do strugle to catch them. ... only early in the morning or near the end of the day I see some action. I never tried to fish in winter time, so I have this question to ask here: how hard it is for a bank angler to catch bass in winter time?? That's what I really want to know....and I'm counting on you to make a video about that: (bass bank fishing in winter time!) Is it even possible? Cheers!

the only time I had a good frog bite was this fall, which is funny because of how slow all my other lures are

I grew up a bank fisherman, so now that I have a boat, guess what? I still run the banks. No one ever taught me how to fish grass (I hate fishing grass) and yea I know 🤦🏼‍♂️. I don’t know how to fish deep either. I have the lures to do so, but I don’t. The thing is, I still catch bass, because I know that there will be some shallow

Me too. I love fishing the banks and cypress trees are my favorite thing in the world to fish. Being from Louisiana most of the lakes i fish are relatively shallow, flat and grassy and full of cypress trees so that's what I grew up fishing. There's no humps, ledges, or creek channels in most of them and most of the time the fish are next to the bank or around cypress trees.

How do you feel about shallow to medium depth oxbows off a major river this time of year? Red River has some really good ones, the one I'm going to tomorrow has a rock levee at one end, dead trees on one side, grass on the other side and a very narrow entrance to the main river at the far end. It's a crazy place to fish because you can't really get a good pattern going because they are everywhere and will hit a ton of different stuff. Like you might catch 5 on a white crankbait in one spot and the next spot catch 5 on a black shaky head. It's so confusing sometimes just picking out which bait to use. I'd love to see you do a video on just fishing oxbows one day when you get time.

I have been learning a lot from ya and was wondering if you could cover some good lures to use in rivers… I live in south Georgia and we don’t have big lakes but have good rivers like the savannah….?

I think there is not a consistency pattern to follow and so many people try to find the answer and no one really has it but it makes for great content

Find the bait find the fish main lake points and secondary points. Try top water first if that’s not working small swimbait or bottom contact techniques.
