at 5:40 you got a mouse in your background btw, don't know if you care or not. I've been trying to catch a 5lbs lmb in Michigan for 2 years now, hopefully next year I get it done. Good luck on catching that 10 next year. If you fish the right lakes I have no doubt that you will catch it
Listening to this makes me very grateful I live in south Texas. I've literally caught 8lbs'ers in city ponds, and in our bigger fisheries, you can catch 6 and 7's all day (when the conditions are right). But yes, big baits catch em. My trusted is a 5in swim with an underspin and working a jackhammer like a jig on the bottom.
Right on man when I caught my 6 up here in Northern Illinois it was like a unicorn I've been fishing for bass for years up here you guys definitely got it good in the south
Thanx Tyler. There are lots of baits I consider big bass baits. Large frame spinnerbaits, 3/4oz lippless and a bait that holds Md. tidal bass record a blade bait. That bait also holds my PB tidal bass. I do struggle with getting bigger bass. Limits are usually not my problem, so thanx again for this video.
If you come to Texas, here are a few lakes for you to check out……. Lake Fort Phantom Hill, Lake EV Spence, Stamford Lake, Lake Amon G. Carter, Millers Creek, and last on my list would be the highly pressured OH Ivie in February or March! Tight Lines Tyler👍🏻👍🏻
NOT BRAGGING, MIND YOU...... I live in upstate NY, and fish very small water. I try to do water that holds bass, and trout, together. I also stay with 8 & 6" Hudds, big glides, and giant plastics. In the last 5 years, I have weighed 3 over 8 lbs, and 6 over 7. All came between October, and ice-up.
If I may. Like to add another painful tip I’ve learned from my experience on throwing the big swimbait. Change out the previous seasons line on your reels. Had a 8+ snap off my K9 on a 8Trap
there is a lake in KY. on US Hwy.150 between US Hwy 461and US Hwy 27 that was made to produce 10 pound + fish it has a 21 inch size limit (cedar creek)
My pb bass in the river I kayak fish in Ohio is 3lb 13 oz Largemouth. Last year I caught a 3lb 12oz there. I would be happy with a 4 lb bass! I always wonder if a beast is lurking though because I'm pretty close to the mouth of Lake Erie. We get huge Steelhead up the river and I've caught big Channel Catfish and Sheephead also.
It’s not Texas, or Florida, but in Tennessee we have some big ones. Get to the dirtier lakes, Melton Hill, Fort Loudon, Wood+rock=10lbs. Come get one my guy
I started fishing this year, total beginner, and caught ~24" largemouth (didn't have a scale) on a $2 ozark trail crankbait from the bank. Small 22 acre lake. Should have thrown the rod and tackle box back in the lake with the fish. 😂
Everything is bigger in Texas. TPWD knows what they’re doing when it comes to taking care of our lakes. I know of three lakes in Texas that you are guaranteed to catch a 10 pounder or bigger.
And the biggest mistake i see most people doing is throwing 20LB line, this year ive been playing with 18 for soft and 16 for hard baits and the action been more fluid, idk if i would try that in Florida or texas but here in okc its been just fine
Tyler are u stalking me every time I say something you make a video about it a day later like I wanted to learn how to use a jerk bait u made a vid. I was saying how I’m lock in next your and going break my pb etc. one of the best tip and how to
May Dad and I caught 5 fish over 10 pounds one afternoon using live shiners that weighed 1/2 to 3/4 pounds. St. John''s River, South of Sanford, Florida 10 lbs. 5 oz. to 13 lbs. 15 oz.

Sad but my PB Bass is about a 5 to 5.5 lbs love to catch one much more than that. Thanks Tyler great info and tips 👍🏻

I been chasing a 10+ pounder seriously for the last 2 years.. last year was close with two 9 pounders... I'm hoping I get it done in 2025!
FYI... I have been traveling to other states
Up at our latitude, the best chance is at a power plant lake.

On my way!

If you want big bass in Ohio I would think it would be in a pond somewhere.
My goal for 2025 is to just actually catch a largemouth on a buzz bait. I catch most my larger fish on the Zara Spook classic.

Come to California

Let’s go new video
if youre in fla or texas, those temps are much too cold. that would be a cold front and it shuts the warm water fish down.
California Delta
I live in oregon and a big bass is around 5-6lbs my pb here is 7.23
I want the state record for Florida Bass (it's now classified as a new subspecies)
TPWD in Texas. Not the DNR.

Have you’ve noticed your catch rate go up or size class of fishing go up with the 18 n 16 lb line?

In my opinion just focus on the 6” class swimbaits, my go to soft bait is the WCZ citizen on a 6/0 beast flashy swimmer and a DRT Tiny Klash 🫡
