    Another great video, love your channel!
    One other difference is the size and weight of the controller: 600d Pro is 5.8kg / 12.79lbs, while 600d non-pro is 3.24kg / 7.14lbs. For a gaffer with a truck or van, probably not significant, for a DP owner/operator working on smaller budget shoots, this makes a decent difference in my opinion. If I remove the reflector from the case, I can safely also fit a 120dmk2, a 200d, and a B7c all in the 600d case, which makes for a great compact light kit, when I need to keep things small and portable (often the case for my work here in NYC). So for location work (assuming all indoors), the 600d non-pro makes more sense for me. Of course, one could argue that the heavier controller means a more stable stand and less sand needed, but I'll take the extra space in the case over hauling less dirt.

    I love your channel. Learn so much from you. Your channel is by far better than anything I have seen on YT. Thank you for your expertise. One thing I love that you do is measuring from the hotspot to the outer edges; such an important info that practically everyone misses on YT. I was curious if Amaran 200, 150, 300 are just not good enough for this channel? I am curious about them.

      The Amaran rage is unbelievably good for the price. It's a case of my spare time v Aputure release dates.

    Hi Andrew, would you do a review of the Core SWX APEX batteries? The claim is that they are designed for use with powering lights. Curious to hear your thoughts especially given you do rent out equipment, if there’s an actual advantage to the product..having dedicated batteries for lights..how they compare to existing solutions you use. Not familiar with the technicalities of power/batteries and don’t have direct access to this type of gear. Looking forward to learning more from your experience and perspective. Thank you!

    Another great review, thank you. I am not a pro gaffer just need lights for my YT/IG work and I film during daylight so I need some strong lights sometimes and also moving them around a lot, one thing I really don't like is that all the companies make insanely HUGE controllers for 600w lights, 3000w usually are almost without anything at all, but once it came to 600w even Chinese companies add bulky box, Why are these so huge? It would be really nice if they make a version without a control box as well.

      The Orion 675 FS is an all-in-one fixture. No separate controller.

    Great review! Do you see the lack of weather sealing being an issue for dust like shooting in warehouses etc? Would that have an impact on these fixtures?

    • @gaffergear
      @gaffergear  7 місяців тому +2

      Not really. Dust seems to affect the cooling systems on LED lights more than anything else, so regardless I would be hitting the lights with an air compressor every now and then.

    Can the aputure F-10 fresnel be used on the FORZA 500 light to improve light output? or should the FL-20G only be used with the FORZA 500 light? What happens when I combine these accessories?

    Hello Andrew @Gaffer&Gear, thanks for your great reviews! Do you have any experience on how long LED lamps last? Does the green or magenta shift get worse and more obvious over time? Therefore, wouldn't it be always better to buy RGBWW Led lamps where i can correct those tints with the green/magenta shift, without using correction gels? Also i could match it better with other lamps? Whats your opinion? Thanks in advance! Regards Chris

      I have been using LED since the first 1x1 lite panels. I have never owned an LED for long enough that the lifecycle becomes an issue. Over all they are more reliable, more dependable than any other type of light I have owned.

    Hey Andrew - really appreciate your in depth product reviews. I have the standard 600d and have just seen that somehow a few little flys (or ants) have gotten in between the cob and protective glass. Do you know the process to get in there and blow them out per chance?

    • @gaffergear
