    I can see how well that fan would work on a wood stove in a off grid cabin. I think you will be surprised at how much moisture your wood lost at 120 degrees. It looks great now. Great video. I have looked at those fans and was unsure if they worked or were just another gimmick. I may purchase one for a wall tent. Thank you for the information.

      Yeah I’m hoping to be really surprised with the moisture level when I open them up and see. I think those little fans move enough air that it makes a big difference.

    Super cool cracks in the logs! Really opened them up. That’s a great product for the Buddy Heater. They’re great heaters but like you said the heat just goes straight up

      Yeah I’m curious to see what the moisture is when I split it open.

    Great tip with the fan. That price is nice! I would love to see how it works with it mounted to the Pex.

      I will do that here shortly. I’m curious if there will be enough heat transfer. If so that will be sweet.

    On that Mr buddy heater I put fans on and also made a tin hood to enclose the fans huge difference in pushing heat forward instead up . Fans themselves made a big difference now just thing about an enclosed hood for them .

      Yeah I didn’t think of that. That would work out great to really take the heat and push it all forward.

    Surprised to see how cracked they are in log form. Super cool. Glad it worked out for you

      Yeah curious when I take the load out and split one and see how well they dried inside.

    Something that might kinda be cool if you could find a camera to withstand the heat…. Do a Timelapse inside the kiln and see how long it takes for the wood to split. See if it just slowly opens or pops open. Dumb idea I know 😂

      Not a bad idea. I could use an old camera and see if it would work. That would be cool to see. Almost like a flower opening on National Geographic. Haha

      @@Treestofirewood lol yea almost like a flower opening up for sure! It would be pretty cool though if the camera withstands the heat.

    I have a Mr buddy heater. I used it at work on daily bases for awhile. I went through the small tanks. I found out the company makes a conversion kit to go from I think there 1 lb cylinders to 20 lb tanks. I have one now hooked up to my Mr buddy. It works great. That fan looks amazing. Great idea. Wonder if it would work sitting it on your boiler plate heat exchanger for hot water tank. ???????

      I do have the adapter to hook up to a 20lb tank. It’s still in its packaging. Haha I have a side arm kit for the hot water tank. But I’m going to try and see if setting it on the pex will move any hot air. I think so.

    How are the fans holding up inside the kiln?

    • @Treestofirewood
      @Treestofirewood  9 місяців тому

      As of right now. No issues at all with the fans. If I remember correctly I think they were rated for up to 180 degrees.

      When you say died you mean it just stopped working? How long did it work for? Assuming when it was on your stove it ran constantly?
