Just wanted to pop by and say I love this channel. A wonderful presenter, concise, covers just the essentials, no dilly dallying. A great resource, happily subscribed.
Hi there. Odd questions, but I own this tent (and love it!) but recently lost my tent poles on the West Coast Trail. I'm trying to find replacement poles - wondering if you still have this version and if you knew what length the poles were?
Hi Jean, Thanks for your question! With apologies, we no longer have the specs on the pole lengths for this tent. In this case, we would recommend reaching out directly to Marmot. They can be reached by phone at 1-888-357-3262 or online on the Marmot Website.
Hi!!! I saw your reviews about this tent and also the tungsten. Can you tell me, please, which one do you recommend? I saw they are very similar. Thanks!!
The Tungsten provides a little more simplicity in the setup, as well as more interior volume due to the pre-bent pole construction. Because of these features, the Tungsten is our preferred tent style. Thanks for watching!
The LimeLight or the Fortress are much better tents, except there is always budget to be concerned with. Tungsten is a good low end summer, easly fall and late spring tent. Decent mesh profile. The Limelight steps up with more creature comforts and better construction. The Fortress is a 3+ season tent that could be used in early spring and late fall though I would not winter camp in it. If you want to winter camp then you need to step up to the Thor series. The Thor weighs the most of all of these tents. Finally if weight is important then look at the Tungsten 3p UL, Bolt 3p or the SuperAlloy. The bolt and SuperAlloy and super light tents designed for backpacking. The Tungsten UL series weighs 1.5 to 2lbs heavier than the Bolt or SuperAlloy, but is bigger. I have the Fortress 3p and the Bolt 2p. I use the Fortress for colder nights or for car camping and I use the Bolt for backpacking due to it's 2lb 5oz weight.

I wish you'd show if/how the front flap closes for harsh weather.
You zip it down and be sure to stake it out well too.

Can the tent be stuffed in the sack like we stuff a down sleeping bag? Or does it have to be rolled back properly?
You can re-pack your tent in whichever way works best for you. Just make sure you never store your tent wet! Thanks for watching
Would you recommend the Catalyst over the Tungsten?
For the price, weight, and interior space, we'd recommend the Tungsten 3P. Plus, the Tungsten 3P comes with a footprint.
Backcountry Edge Thank you for your insight 👍🏾
