I would like the chair to think long and hard about vulnerable women and children rather than patronisingly interrupting people instead of listening to their concerns. This meeting should be shown to local MP's so they can see how these meetings are being chaired for the chairs own agenda instead of being unbiased.
The local MP is present in this meeting. Martin Wrigley, the new Lib Dem MP for the Newton Abbot Constituency which is inside the District of Teignbrdge is also a Teignbridge District Councillor and on the Executive. Up until this meeting he was Leader of Teignbride District Council, it was under his leadership that he made Cllr Rosie Dawson chair of the Council in May. He was reported in the local press, saying 'She knows how to control a crowd' or words to that effect. this Council is well known for stifling debate and silencing opposition, I was found guilty of breaching Clrr Richard Daw's (South Devon Alliance) human rights and to have acted unlawfully in the Local Government Ombudsman's report published in January 2023. The LGA peer Review also highlighted srious issues withing TDC earlier this year. Under Wrigley's leadership elected Council staff were subject to intimidation, bullying and harassment from Councillors, which resulted in Cllrs being denied access to Council Officers, wrigley did nothing. The Lib Dem run Council has appeared 4 times in Private Eye's Rotten Borough's section - most recently highlighting Wrigley is quadruple jobbing being a Councillor at Town, District and County level as well being elected MP in a month ago. He doesn't possess the words 'conflict of interest' in his vocabulary appointing himself the lead role on a project to transform Newton Abbot's Queen Street in TDC against the wishes of residents and traders, whilst simultaneously being the HATOC (Highways and Traffic Orders Committee) Chair at Devon County Council. He is known for deleting comments on his social media - or at least any that question him or portray him in a negative light. He beat the Tory incumbent, the awful Anne-Marie Morris in the GE because of the Reform effect and tactical voting hysteria. Hard to imagine but he will be a worse MP than Morris and Dawson is simply one of his acolytes. The Lib Dems control TDC and were in coalition with the Tories and still are when it comes to voting on certain issues that benefit the few and not the many. Wrigley stepped down as Council Leader in this meeting and I believe he has also stepped down as chair of HATOC at DCC, however he remains on the three Councils, whilst also being our MP. Dawlish Town Council, like TDC is Lib Dem dominated as they have the majority - Dawson may have an agenda linked to trans rights, but her obstructive chairing is also linked to Wrigley's control freakery, the local Lib Dems are completely illiberal and anti-democratic.
As an ex councillor, I can assure everyone, that this chair is not adhering to the Nolan principles of public office. Which are.... Selflessness, Integrity, Objectivity, Accountability, Openness, Honesty, and Leadership. She is leading with a different agenda, therefore should be dismissed. She's a disgrace to the office of councillor who clearly hasn't read the Nolan Committee on Standards in Public Life.

I need Blue Badge parking so since the work started in Queen Street, I haven't been able to do this (despite trying several times). Best public toilet I’ve used was on the promenade at Lyme Regis. Spotlessly clean and the most up to date tap come dryer out there. Shock horror someone of the opposite gender emerged from the next cubicle and went straight to the hand wash. It was just like using my gender neutral toilet at home but maybe cleaner. Poor old biddy could have been brought up in a convent boarding school where even her bath was covered so that she could not see her own shameful body. Changing rooms have cubicles for the shy and in such as Center Parcs were all in it together with no sexual attacks reported. If Teignbridge is taken up with such ridiculous imagined perils then no wonder it’s in the pitiful state it’s in. As an eighty years plus pensioner I’m amazed at how needlessly worried and outraged my age range can be.
Your gender neutral loo at home is used by people you know. I have been groped , had men expose themselves to me and masterbate in front of me.
