Thanks for doing such a comprehensive review. Never watched your channel before. Well done.
Thank you! Hopefully there’s more content that appeals to you
The extra pin so it supports itself when removing the hitch pin is a great idea. Great review as always!
Thanks brother! It means a lot to me to have your approval
Great review. I ordered based on your recommendation in this video, thank you for making it an easy decision!
Thanks for watching. I’m happy that I could have been of any help. Hopefully you remembered to use the discount code
Ive been wondering about this attachment, great review!
It’s a solid expansion if you’re in the right situation! Don’t forget to save your 10% using code kl10
Have this. Love it. Planning to get a second, and the Alpha Bench while I'm at it. Christmas presents to all the lifters in my household.
Heck yes!!
Great review. I’ve been on the fence about this for months. I think you sold me. Good stuff.
Glad to hear it! There are food ideas flowing in the comments section
KL10 saves you 10%
Good video. Long time without a vid. Good to see you back.
Stray dog has some really cool equipment coming out.
Thanks. You’ve been one of, if not the most consistent viewer. Thanks for the continued support. SD does have some innovative pieces. Excited for some more awesome stuff from small American manufacturers
@@TheKurtlocker I like them also. Want to get some SD equipment and see how it works out with my titan X3
Yeah love my GOAT attachment. I got the step up plate, lat seat, leg rollers, and the loading pin. It’s so versatile in a small footprint which is important in a one car garage set up. It’s my second favorite attachment behind the Surplus Strength UPS
The SS UPS is another fabulous piece. Review coming!
Aren't the 24" too short for presses exercises?? Do ubstill like them? I wonder if they will fit my titan 3x3 X-3 foldable rack?
I would imagine they would fit but I don’t have a Titan rack to test it on
@@futbol1972 man if someone bought the KAIZEN Adapters from GymPin I think it would add another 7 inches(?) in length and allow them to be angled in. Might be a game changer
@@meisdetermined that will be nice
I've seen you using the GOAT. Looks cool. Honestly, I'm just here to say nice thumbnail!
Thanks for dropping by and feeding the algorithm!
Super thorough as always
Thank you 🙏. One of these days I’ll mail a 1 take…
My comment is usually related to the thoroughness of the review so I might as well be consistent. Great review!
Thank you! Use KL10 for 10% off!
Great review as always. I use my GOAT attachment for sitting calf raises. Works very well.
That’s an excellent idea I hadn’t considered!!!
You paid $350 to do seated calf raises?🤔
@@michaelderenne9838 Yes, I only use it for that. 🙄
Awesome. I was looking for something like the Isolator but with a smaller footprint, exclusively for leg/hamstring curls. THIS is exactly it. Subscribed!
Thanks for watching! Happy this helped
@@TheKurtlocker I just pulled the trigger using your discount code. GOAT + 3 hitch pins + 2 leg rollers + 1 weight peg. I must have watched your GOAT videos at least 20 times! haha Thanks for the video. This definitely had a major impact on my choice of purchase. Plus, I'm thrilled to buy from a smaller family owned company. I will most likely get their bench pad in the future.
@buddhaoli thank you. Using that code supports the channel and saves you money. I’m grateful for you watching the video as well.
Absolutely great review
Thank you. I truly appreciate the compliment
Very nice in-depth review. Much better form function over my homemade Titan + rogue mashup.
It’s hard to compete with purpose built! Thanks for watching!!
Great chanel and great video man.
Thank you! That means a ton to me.
Great review!
Thank you!
Awesome review! I'm considering purchasing this for my setup. Quick question - and sorry if it was mentioned and I didn't realize...are you able to just slide the bracket up and down the upright with the safety pin that goes behind in place to help keep it on/guide it? Or do you have to remove it each time you want to adjust the height. Thanks a bunch!
You can totally insert a 5/8” pin on the back and move it up and down but it may damage the finish on the rack.
Solid review..
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your compliment.
id be curious on your take of if you had to start your gym from scratch with space limitations, what your key items would be? for instance I might go with a yoke instead of a full on power rack, etc.
I actually had just a yoke in this space for about 6 months and moved up to a power rack. The whole footprint of my gym is 12’x20’ so I’m in a decently small space already. Maybe this is a video I’d do. Perhaps use a 8x8 limitation and build a good space…thanks for the idea
had been considering the isolator, but honestly everyone says it's difficult to integrate and who's gym doesn't already have a fid bench? this just makes way more sense.
So you’re going with a GOAT?
@@TheKurtlocker no sir I'm pretending I have money on the internet
@CSLFiero holy smokes! That’s a game I play as well. Bahaha.
I have an Isolator. It's cumbersome -- super heavy -- , which is why I'm shopping around.
Agreed! I don’t have much space and an isolator seems like it would be a pain to move back and forth off the rack. This seems like the perfect solution with a fid bench you would already have.
Hey kurtis will i be able to mount the RML leg roller on my rack with goat on it (5/8)? It looks like the goat will get in the way due to the way the rogue roller mounts on rack ?? I know on tthe goat arm I can mount the adjustable roller ether from you or rogue since it has 1" holes, however my titan x-3 foldable rack has 5/8 holes just like the RML racks. Thinking of buying 5/8 goat with 1" leg roller and 1" peg to mount them on goat arm and a 5/8 RML leg roller to use it on my titan X-3 rack and also to do leg and hamstring curls with goat.
I don’t have the experience to say whether it would work or not. From my understanding the RML leg roller is mounted to a bracket instead of it being a bolt attachment so I agree that it could seem like it would get in the way. Sorry I can’t help specifically here but I don’t have those items readily available to test
Always thought this was cool but with my current items in my gym just not worth it for me. However the inverse curl option looks really solid. I have the bulletproof attachment ordered and if that fails to perform that movement well I might be adding this one too 🙌🏼.
The bulletproof attachment looks really cool. I’d love to get one to review someday
Unfortunately it costs 1k shipped…. Wow. I might look more into this one.
Bullet proof is a lot more, but is also very different. Definitely not an apples to oranges
@@sairam71 Dang I got it for $800 shipped during the pre-sale which was actually cheaper at the time than the GOAT + 2 rollers + shipping.
@@airgordo4 great deal price def gone up :( how do you like it btw? do you recommend it? worth the cost?
So I just ordered this and they didn’t ask which rack I have which is the rogue monster. Will it still work. I asked the company and they said yes but nothing on my order was done special to change for offsetting
It should. I just checked the website and it definitely changed in that there is no drop down for selecting offset vs in-line hole spacing. Stray Dog may have updated their product to accommodate both in one version.
I don't see any UHMW plastic on the inside of the goat, without that this is going to seriously scratch up your rack overtime. How do you mitigate the goat scratching the rack when taking it on and off?
There is UHMW on all parts that contact the rack.
Iam thinking about getting squat max with pad attachment. I wonder if it will be a good idea to selll goat and get ironmaster prov2 with their leg/curl attachment? I pretty much only use goat for leg and seal rows. So the squat max pad will be good for thoese exercises and for convinient to use since pad can be attach to squat max all the time correct. I do like goat but hardly use it do to the set up it takes which is not bad but i guesss we are kinda lazy. Lol
I have a very limited space and plan my workouts so I can assemble movements that require setups during rest periods when they aren't in the way. Keeps me off my phone and in the zone and helps me not be lazy. I totally get it though
Do you see this being able to be used with the rep ares able or prime fitness hlp cable machine for leg extensions and curls using cables?
I don’t feel comfortable saying it would or wouldn’t work because I’ve never used them or seen them in person. Sorry I can’t help
@@TheKurtlocker have you had a chance to see it now? I am wondering if this could be attached to a REP ARES to use the weight stack for leg curls
@4chapiro I’m truly sorry but I have not had the opportunity. I need to get a bigger gym so I can review more racks such as the Athena and Ares
Say you had a pair-is the 24” long enough to shoulder or chest press? I dig the mobility of this and the shorter length for iso movements like curls.
You definitely could do chest and shoulder press but in my opinion the length of the arm is not ideal for those movements. It would work though
@@TheKurtlocker is there any videos out there of any presses exercises being done? I’d buy a pair if it could replace my lever arms
If you follow Jake Purdy on Instagram he has some videos using pairs of them. IMO the arms are too short though.
@@TheKurtlocker yea that's what's holding me back. Only 24 inches long:( I guess on the bright side they are easier to move
Agreed
Is the lever arm long enough for RDL, similar to how you see people do it on a belt squat with a cable attachment?
Yes. I didn’t mess with it but it’s definitely a possible movement.
I can demo that for you follow our instagram
Thanks jake

DRINK SPOTTER sighting!
Since prioritizing drink safety I’ve found a lot of carryover into other parts of my life improving. Can’t live without it
Do you know the diameter of their plate post you have? I assume under barbell sleeve size so a specialty collar must be used?
Correct. Specialty collar is ideal
1.9” is the diameter of the weight peg so specialty collars are required.
Does it effectively replicate leg extensions? Can you do hamstring curls?
Yes to both. The hamstring curl I tested was a single leg, standing hamstring curl.
Why not just get the Powertec Leverage gym? It’s compact well I guess it’s too big still.
For a lot of folks it may be too big however the Powertec Leverage Gym is a pretty cool piece
What do you think of this vs the vendetta jammer arms modification product? It's a different length but very similar in a way
The vendetta adapters are awesome. The GOAT is a lot different though because the entire unit is easily removable from the upright and can be installed on any side you want vs standard arms that require tools to remove.
Since I already have the vendetta on it’s way and I already have the rogue trolleys - I’m also wondering if that configuration can mimic this attachment. Now, if the experience is better with shorter arms in regards to leg extensions/leg curls/leg press I’ll go with one. My leg curl experience with trolley arms did not feel natural. Have you tried trolleys vs this attachment? How does the experience differ?
I have not but I will be testing that soon
I have a x3 titan wall rack. When doing leg curls could I set it up in any direction? I only have about 21" from wall to front of rack post so I don't think I will be able to leg curl this way do to limited space between wall and uprigjts
Yea, that would be really tight and not work with the GOAT
@@TheKurtlocker how are u liking the isolator? I have the goat too but waiting for isolator:)
@futbol1972 overall I like it. My take right now is that if you can dedicate an upright to the isolator then awesome. If you setup and take down the unit go GOAT
One attachment to rule them all.
KL10 saves you 10%
@@TheKurtlocker Thanks 🏋️♂️
Will I really need the seat pad to use it with the goat? Does the seat works like the sorinex bulldog pad, same concept?
Anyways do I really need it?
That’s how I use the seat pad. I also load the stone of steel onto it.
@@TheKurtlocker thank u
Canni use the goat to do leg curls ? Will ot fit pr4000 rep fitness?
Yes to both
Other than vendetta and stray dog, who makes other lever arm brackets like these that allow multiple positions?
I don’t know of anyone that makes the brackets unless it’s a custom job.
I contacted stray dog and got them to sell me just a set of the brackets, they were about $100 cheaper than the vendetta ones which I think is fair.
not sure i followed the versatility on the 1" and 5/8" holes. I have a PRX rack with 1" holes spaced 2" apart on the front, and 5/8" holes on the side spaced 6" apart. This has a pin that goes in the front and is secured through the side, correct? Can i use the extra pin to secure it to the rack (since the side holes are not as plentiful)?
The 5/8” option would go on the backside of the rack. Not through it.
@@TheKurtlocker and that alone would be enough to secure?
Absolutely.
@@TheKurtlocker that is very interesting! Very much appreciate the replies and the EXCELLENT, very through review.
Goat it's good but now debating between goat and bulletproof isolator?
That’s a hard choice. Both are excellent options
I already have the hole goat set up to do leg curls etc..also bought the handle and seat. It takes a little bit of set up for leg curls but not bad. Iam debating between getting another arm for exercises presses or just buy the powertech workbench multipress with leg cur attachment and bicecurl attachment.
you need that spreaderBar attachment
I absolutely do
@@TheKurtlocker Best bar for triceps long head arms behind the torso
Super cool piece man. I am forbidden from buying anything currently, but I enjoyed this breakdown Kurt.
Thanks for watching and commenting. It is a wonderful piece if you ever come off restriction!
Is there any way I can store it up on the wall when not using the goat??
Where there’s a will there’s a way. I’m sure it wouldn’t be difficult to figure out
You could store it on a monster strip on the wall. You would need to install some sort of spacer to allow for the pin.
Yea. The strip could work if it was spaced off of the wall to allow the 5/8” pin attachment hole.
It's not possible to do arm curls since dumbell will hit upright
I agree that curls are less than ideal on the GOAT
I think the rogue leg rollers are the best ones, and they are super cheap for the quality you get.
As long as you don't mind them shorting you on the foam length...otherwise they are awesome.
@@ColdCactus I have not noticed the length being an issue yet. Maybe if I experience longer ones I'll never want to go back.
The stray dogs are long, come in color options and are not much more expensive and are even cheaper when you use code kurtlocker
@@TheKurtlocker I tought the goat ones were only 24"?? Do u guys have longer ones like rogue? I think their shorter version is like 35" which is a perfect lenght I think
The rogue roller is 16” of pad where the straydog is 15”. That’s still plenty long for a leg roller
Is this compatible with rep racks? Their iso arms are badly designed lol
It should be compatible with the 5000 series
Which GHD/reverse hyper combo is that?
There is no GHD/hyper combo but there is a stand-alone SquatmaxMD
@@TheKurtlocker I meant at 6:02 in the video.. Upon second look though I don't think that is your gym in the shot lol.
I’m sorry, that’s my shop gym. It’s a Rogue Donkey
just an fyi I am not able to get your coupon code to work... I'm considering ordering and would love to use your code but it tells me the code doesn't exist
I’ll hit up straydog to see what’s up. Thanks for the heads up
Kurt’s code is “KL10” it works, you need to apply it in the cart before proceeding to checkout. Reach out via instagram dm or email if you need assistance.
Many apologies. I’m trying to edit the video now
You've been jonesing for a new lever arm ever since The Henny Strap obviated your old ones.
On that note, will Stray Dog give me a trade in on my Titans? Those beasties just sit there daring me to move them around without losing any flesh.
Ha! The Henny is still an awesome system! I doubt SD will take the titan arms though…you may need to find a creative way to part with those or chop them down to make your own GOAT
Sell them online and buy the GOAT! We don’t do trade ins.
2 words "Vendetta Strength"
Most of the trolley arms that are usable with the vendetta attachments are too long for the functionality of the goat IMO. Vendetta attachments are absolute game changers though
Bruh the way he had to force out the words “I think thats a really good deal” 😂😂. In no world is 700+ dollars a good deal for this small bar of steel. Go down to your local fabricator and you could get them to make this for likely under $300. People forget that there are fabricators and they know how to make all of these things for a reasonable price.
I’m all about going to your local fabricator. Growing up in a household where my dad was a fabricator made me appreciate what they can do but I disagree that a fabricator could easily make this for that much less. It just isn’t worth the time to drill all the holes, setup the sleeves, weld all the pieces and do it with the tolerances that this has. You’d be better off learning to fabricate yourself.
You’re not paying for steel. You’re paying for someone to come up with the idea, make prototypes, test it, retool it, retest it, send out to others to test, and remake it. In the meantime you’re also paying to cover the electricity, water, trash, business license, permits, hvac, and everything else it takes to run a business and have enough for an American to live off of.
Now you can steal the design and get it done at a local fabricator’s shop like a Titan clone, but you’d be kinduva bad person. But hey, it’s a free country so knock yourself out.
Much more eloquently said
Please post pics of your local fabricator’s leg rollers. You completely missed his point. That $700 is for the GOAT and, what he deems as, the necessary attachments to fully utilize it.
Great review!
Thanks for watching!
