Just invested in one of these and recommended one as a gift for my Uncle who keeps going through cheapo Walmart garbage. I really enjoyed my Plantronics gaming headset that I wore out but the past 8 years I've been used to getting my audio through one ear anyways so I can stay situationally aware with the family. I'm very impressed by the mic clarity and I'm sure the in ear audio quality is there as well. Great review thanks for getting me more pumped for a fancy new gizmo. 😅🎉 /Sub
What up my dude. We talked last week about the shield and the remote batteries etc. Did you go into the settings and turn that backlight off. Youll see how long it lasts now. I put mine in at xmas still sayin "good" on level. Cool video on that mic
wow, i just bought this same device for my work at home with my laptop, im having a problem hearing anyhthing, it says 'paired; when i am in blutooth, down on volume in bottom right corner, it says poly 5200 headset, to show thats my default, but i cant talk or use my companies software to use phone. after i pair it, how am i supposed to hear or talk? thnx for any help!
I don't believe so because it seems to only charge when the switch is in the off position. Plus since it's so small it'll most likely fall out of your ear if you tried to plug it up while wearing it.
Thank you dpirate, I was doubly about but this preowned in ebay. I need one in job, so I can´t use a stereo headphone because I need to hear the ambient sounds and the normal phone calls. Greetings from Ecuador.
I just recently purchased this headset and the first time I used it my daughter could hear me opening a box of cereal and pouring it into the bowl! She said it hurt her ears. Am I missing something for blocking out the sound?
Unfortunately there's no option to block sound. But I will say, if you were standing right above the cereal it would be normal for your daughter to hear it clearly since it's more of a high pitch sound (when the cereal drops in the bowl). Especially if it was a glass bowl.
There's an opening at the bottom of it to charge with a micro USB. Just have to remove that tiny rubber like piece covering it. That's how I charge mine. But I have the Best Buy version so it maybe different than yours.
I have plantronic voyager 5200 its was working nicely, but suddenly the mice went out..the others side keep sayin i cant hear u.. u r so far!! Is it hardware issue?
You'll need the Alexa app for sure and maybe the Plantronics Hub app (to adjust the settings). When you have the required apps just tap on the button on top of the mic piece. You should hear it say "Say a command" or something similar.

If you're still having this try pairing it to your phone just to know if it's the headset or something needs to be changed your works phone program.
Can you charge it while using it? Like plug in the usb cable on a call?

Great unit, but trying to charge it with the magnetic cable is tricky at best. Give me something with a USB connector.

Yeah that's not normal. I would work on getting a replacement from the store or Plantronics if I were you since it's a hardware issue.
Can you charge it with a regular USB?
Yes, any micro B USB cable will work. I plug mine to the USB port on the computer mostly to charge it.
