She also seems weak as hell. Like everyone else flexes their power subconsciously when they lose their temper, but she's angry all the time, and nothing happens. She's just a weak, mouthy idiot.
Reminder: this hell version is not eternal damnation and torture but rather the worst aspects of society cranked up to 11. Thus why the trial was not fair, the sentencing was weighted, striker was granted immunity, the accused was not given a lawyer or allowed to defend themselves, and most importantly the court/jury wasnt even full as luciferwas absent😅
Its a good fresh start for them, as there is nolonger a transaction between them nor is there a power dynamic. It will also give stolas a chance to understand what blitzo is talking about. Also Octavia just watched her father choose to die for blitzo instead of staying around for her and Stella will abuse that fact.
Nice to see Stolas and Blitzo bury the hatchet to some degree. I justI feel so bad for Octavia. This is her greatest fear from all the way back in Episode 2. Stolas has gone where she can't follow and is currently living with Blitzo. It will be all to easy for a poisonous influence to paint it as Stolas choosing Blitzo over Octavia.
When I first watched the show I was like "really more blitzo and stolas stuff all the time" but at this point I'm completely invested 😂. This episode goes so hard 😢
Honestly to be fair, Stolas actually needed to be called out for letting demons kill humans in earth, like, I’m surprised no one in heaven noticed that at all
I mean... they're still doing that. Stolas's only crime was letting them bypass the legal restrictions on travelling to Earth. IMP still does what they always have thanks to Asmodeus, it's just that now they're above board.
They honestly don't care about killing humans. It was the HOW I.M.P was getting to Earth that was a problem. With the crystal now they're above board. Like we literally see this season that another Imp, Blitzo's sister, has a legit job selling drugs on Earth. Humans dying is GOOD for Hell, the actual crime was fucking with a Goetia. Imps are the bottom of Hell, and Satan wants them to stay there, so Blitzo's real crime was trying to rise above his lot in life. They literally gag him for 99% of the "trial" and speed it up because of boredom to skip to the execution.
@ I mean, I’m not attracted to men in the first place so I’m not the best judge, and I’ve always seen Dragon-face as just the Scaly version of a Horse-face, but maybe that’s more your taste than mine, based on your handle.
This is going to set up a terrible dichotomy. This is the worst day of Stolas' life. He is stripped of everything. His status, wealth, power, and possessions are gone. He doesn't even have access to his daughter for the next 100 years... This is the best day of Blitzo's life. He found true love in so many people around him. He found recognition from his people. He finally learned to accept himself and his mortality and finally accepted true love from Stolas. This is going to be a very rough day/anniversary.
@@mydogghost Yeah that would be cool. Or him being secretly proud of Fizzy from breaking free, like some wallstread stockbroker seeing their protege succeed without them.
I’m so glad that they got Ke$ha to reprise her role as Beelzebub, after the behind the scenes drama from her introductory episode I thought that either she wouldn’t appear again or that she would be recast, but it looks like the queen is here to stay. On top of that we got to see the other sins (including Satan the dragon daddy). I can’t wait to learn more about Belphegor and Leviathan, and how they’re be involved in the overall plot. And shoutout to Harvey Guillen, the voice of Perrito in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, for making a great first impression with his performance as Vassago.
This is one of those episodes you have to rewatch, seen it three times not counting reactions, and pausing at stuff in the background like the Sins' designs, the other royals, the eyes of Hell *Roo or bodiless sinners*, the other clearly higher type demons (it is interesting seeing the more demonic demons as a reminder this is Hell, we've just been seeing it from the perspective of Imps, like last episode where a demon doing things you'd expect a horror movie demon to be able to do in a Hotel throwing off fans), and of course Lucifer's throne. Oh licensing contracts, LooLoo Land is still the most we've seen Lucifer's likeness shown in this series, and likely thanks to that episode being before A24 got the licensing contract to produce and Prime the video distribution license contract. It would be nice to know the actual specifics of what limitations are on those contracts to know what to expect in the future regarding cross over . But other catches like the lore implications of how while Imps say things like "oh Satan", Satan himself and the Goetia reference Lucifer in such statements. Now word of god is that supposedly the excuse for Lucifer's absence is that this episode takes place between episodes 5 and 6 of Hazbin Hotel, so Lucifer is still in his depression. But after reconnecting with Charlie and the battle against Heaven he might decide to resume his royal duties. Speaking of a catch here, The trial of Blitz was televised, including Satan's BS claim of predating Lucifer. However him knowing Lucifer personally means he probably knows that Lucifer doesn't watch television (as revealed in Hazbin Hotel), so actual world building lore implications. Lucifer disconnects himself in his palace making ducks and not seeing this trial or anything else in the news. Heck he probably didn't even know the extermination schedule had been changed to six months, no one told him, he wasn't at the meeting (Charlie was). Which also makes me wander if anyone even told him about this trial, or if they did he just shrugged it off to work on his ducks. On that note head canon: Charlie or Lucifer appointed that therapist demon to Satan because of his anger issues LoL Which on that note, Stolas' mansion is in the Pride Ring, so his legions would be his employees there, and Stolas loves paperwork. I would laugh if we got a shot next episode or in season 3 of Andrealphous having a mental breakdown because his new duties filling in for Stolas is less a powergrab and more a stressful job working on the paperwork between Charlie and Lucifer's pet projects. Going from his ice palace to an office worker, "I thought I was I going to be leading a demonic army in a position of great power and authority tormenting Sinners and plotting against Earth...instead I'm stuck here in this office going over paperwork for...this! The expenses, repairs, and resources for a blasted theme park and a...hotel?"
I just noticed something about Leviathan: Her humanoid head seems to be into Mammon, but her monster head clearly not. She even grabbed the chair and stepped away, and the humanoid face put an angry face. Oh well, being the Sin of Envy must mean that they must be at odds 24/7
Alicia the ice bird calls Stella hot all the time because peacocks (which he is one) find attractiveness a superior thingy. So by saying that he thinks he might be calling himself or Stella attractive albeit in a vulgar way, is like saying they are powerful and shit.
After seeing Apology Tour, I posted a comment somewhere saying it'd be cool if Stolas somehow lost his riches, had to live with Blitzo, had to work for him to help pay rent, & started to understand what the power gap between an employee & boss is really like so maybe he'd stop blaming Blitzo for their breakup & start taking accountability for the damage he did to Blitzo's psyche. I was surprised by how much this is already resembling that idea.
9:06 I always assumed it was "You're so lucky you're pretty because you're stupid." Was one thing since that's what he said to her but this moment is like wtf
Blitz It's really interesting now, Blitz is rising in fame amongst all the other Imps, everyone wants to start working for him while Stolas gets put into the lowest tier of demons where even Imps now mock and insult him, no powers, no legions, now he gets to see hell like that Im not worried about him since 100 years dont seem so bad to him, but im scared of what messed up stuff Stella will do to fully turn Octavia against Stolas now that he is out of the picture
Did you know satans voice actor played scar on lion king broadway, judge frollo from hunchback broadway, and hades from a broadway. I can hear judge frollo in satan so much. Also viv said mastermind is her favorite song so far Code blitzø
So Vivzie confirmed on Twitter that Satan was just spouting bullshit to make himself seem more important when he said that he ruled the darkness before Lucifer fell. Also, I’m pretty sure that sweater Stolas was wearing at the end was the one Loona was wearing the day Blitz adopted her, so it’s extra special.
Apart from being seperated from his little owlet (for the time being I'm sure), this is probably the best thing to ever happen to Stolas. Not only does he get to patch things up with Blitz, he gets to live with him. And I am certain that the issue with Octavia will work out. Stella is a horrible person, who does not care a single bit about her daughter and couldn't even bother to put up a front, when showing her true feelings hurt her. There is no way she can keep up this charade, without a smart kid like Octavia catching on, and in pretty short order, if I had to make a guess. If Stella has shown any sign of being smart and manipulative, there might be a danger of her turning Octavia, but no... I really can't believe her being capable of that level of manipulation. Her uncle maybe, but not Stella.
Funny thing, Vasago in the Ars Goetia is supposedly said to be of "A Good Nature". I huess in this series that means he's one of the few that AREN'T a total asshole.
*complains about the blatantly incestuous remarks* Oh wow, it's almost like the show takes place somewhere where such things would be expected, like, I dunno, HELL or something!😂
I find it interesting that Satan is a dragon humanoid. Plus Demon / Devil law is essentially pointless or irrelevant on higher level demons and devils.
I feel like hes "Aggressively Jealous" of Stellas looks, that's why he's always like "You are SO LUCKY that youre attractive/hot etc" he knows she's not the brightest crayon in the box, and probably feels like her looks are wasted on her.
A successful criminal is still a criminal. Crimson was the head of a mafia family; I.M.P. is a _legitimate_ business. The only crime was "stealing" the book - the actual assasination firm and the work they did _wasn't_ illegal, hence why the crystal was such a big deal.
Crimson is a gangster, and IMP was originally an ordinary assassination company, we found that out last episode. Blitzo started it as taking targets in Hell, after Millie came on board they saw success and got their office, then Blitzo acted on his plan to steal Stolas' grimoire and took IMP to Earth. THAT was the illegal part. They mention it multiple times that if they get caught on Earth, especially without disguises, they're in big trouble. In episode 3, Mox even mentions Satan specifically when Millie taunts Verosika with her creating a monster fish. I totally called Satan being the Judge of Hell, fuck yeah me. Imps are supposed to be the bottom of Hell, they do what they're told, and they don't fuck with demons that actually matter. Crimson only got away with what he did because he had Fizz, and Ozzie and Bee are both mocked by at least Mammon for hooking up with lesser demons. Crimson being in Greed is probably why Ozzie didn't actively go after him once he had Fizz back. Or he just didn't know where he was, the Sins aren't omniscient. That's why it was such a big deal when Stolas got the Asmodean crystal for Blitzo, it makes his business legit. He can still get in trouble, but so long as he doesn't get caught with no disguise, he'd be fine. Cause he'd technically be under Ozzie's authority. If the only crime was being on Earth, Ozzie could've said "Yeah I gave him a crystal, he's legit, let's get lunch" and that'd be the end of it. STEALING the grimoire though was the actual crime, that is a POWERFUL artifact, and plotting to kill a Goetia was icing on the cake. Striker was basically let off because he was just following orders. Same with the rest of IMP, Blitzo took credit for the actual planning, they were just following orders. So when Stolas said Blitzo was just following HIS orders, then Blitzo is just doing what Imps should do, so he gets let off. There's lots of imps that have a business, they just have IMP businesses. I.M.P was framed by Andrealphus as trying to rise above their station. That was the REAL problem, Satan doesn't want Imps questioning if they can be more, cause they're supposed to be the feckless masses. Like he said, it's the royalty that has actual value. Stolas telling the truth of the situation probably wouldn't have helped Blitzo either, Satan may have still considered their deal an Imp getting too cocky and killed him as an example. Saying Blitzo was following his orders was probably the only thing he could do, since if he tried anything else Andrealphus could just counter whatever he makes up, plus he sucks at lying so it'd be even worse.
I loved a lot about this episode but the plot of the court scene did not manage to suspend my disbelief at the idea that no one would question the reasoning behind ordering an imp to pay another imp assassinate onesself.
For me what’s always drew me to Stolitz is despite thier issues, they are well meaning under it all and by challenging each other, they can grow into a better pair but in all fairness Iam a big fan of opposites attract too.
The o being silent is about pronunciation, so it should still be spelled as Blitzo. Just like gnome is still spelled with a g. Spelling it as Blitzø is a neat way to emphasize the o being silent, especially since the o wasn't always silent and the change has meaning to him. But I always feel weird about spelling it as Blitzø, because ø is a totally different letter in my language (Danish), not just a fancy-looking o. To me, o and ø are comparable to m and n. Similar, but not interchangeable. So I usually just end up spelling it Blitz. Edit: Typo

I always love all the over-the-top goofiness that this series has - but the slow, grounded, heavy slice-of-life scenes really shine in S2. The ending of this episode might be my favourite scene in the entire series so far, honestly.
_Blitzø 😉_
Striker finally revealed himself as the hypocrite he is. All that talk about hating the upper class and wanting to make a name for himself was that, just talk. He's a mere pupet and dutifully fulfills his role.
Blitzø is the one who actually screams what he thinks in everybody's faces, no matter who they are
He definitely hates Royals , but to have the chance to stick to Blitzø and IMP is something he wouldn’t pass up
Stolas: "I would never do something that meant never seeing you again for Blitzø's sake"
Octavia: "...so that was a fucking lie"
To be fair, the fact that they were going to kill blitz if he didn't
Was probably a mitigating circumstance in that decision.
He said he wouldn't "run away with Blitz and leave her all alone".
He didn't run away. Intent matters, my man.
@@sweatygoblin2335 If anything that makes it worse. At least if he had run away it would have been for his own roughly eternal happiness. Stolas went there expecting to die *exclusively* for Blitz's immediate wellbeing. If Stolas had been executed Blitz could still die any day in his profession, even more so without Stolas around to bail him out of the extra bad situations, leaving Via without her father and not much to show for it.
@@tvftw1 y'all really want ANY excuse to hate on Stolas and (usually) defending Stella, huh
@@ZariLutus Nothing against Stolas, the thought occurred to me in defence of Octavia when she had to watch one of her admitted fears play out on live television
I do love how they hammer in that Stella is dumb as bricks
She also seems weak as hell. Like everyone else flexes their power subconsciously when they lose their temper, but she's angry all the time, and nothing happens. She's just a weak, mouthy idiot.
Reminder: this hell version is not eternal damnation and torture but rather the worst aspects of society cranked up to 11. Thus why the trial was not fair, the sentencing was weighted, striker was granted immunity, the accused was not given a lawyer or allowed to defend themselves, and most importantly the court/jury wasnt even full as luciferwas absent😅
BRO I'M STUPID AS HELL. I JUST REALIZED WHEN BILTZØ GOES TO DELETE HIS SEARCH HISTORY, LOONA IS PLAYING POKER. SHE'S A DOG PLAYING POKER.
Fun fact I recently found out, Loona is voiced by the same girl who voiced Alora, Mel's friend, in Arcane. 😊
This is the best episode so far in my opinion and that song was absolutely amazing
Its a good fresh start for them, as there is nolonger a transaction between them nor is there a power dynamic. It will also give stolas a chance to understand what blitzo is talking about. Also Octavia just watched her father choose to die for blitzo instead of staying around for her and Stella will abuse that fact.
Blitzø
Also I like the fact that they have a seat/throne specifically for lucifer.
But he didn’t bother showing up.
Hes got ducks to make and a hotel to co-run.
This episode goes so hard 😢
this episode really shows how unfair the system works for the demons. i also love how lucifers seat has a "back in five" sign on it.
I can already see the "Satan is my daddy" tube tops flying off the shelves
8:00
To quote the immortal words of Yiayia: “YOU ARE SICK WOMAN!”
Is she wrong tho?
I don't know why but for some reason this episode feels like it's moving way faster than others to me lol
The pacing is on the speedrun level here yeah. We have no time to digest what is happening on the screen
Gotta love Mammon, he brightens up every scene he's in.
I hope he'll get an in-depth episode, similar to Ozzy
One about his relationship with leviathan could be interesting
That's right the O is silent! finally someone gets it!
On that note head canon: Charlie or Lucifer appointed that therapist demon to Satan because of his anger issues LoL
Which on that note, Stolas' mansion is in the Pride Ring, so his legions would be his employees there, and Stolas loves paperwork.
Andrelphus mentioning Stella being hot constantly is giving me Luke Skywalker and Leia from Star Wars
At least they didn’t know they were related yet.
This episode is AHHHH 😭 Stolas' song is the best in the series I think. HE NEVER MISSES
Alicia the ice bird calls Stella hot all the time because peacocks (which he is one) find attractiveness a superior thingy. So by saying that he thinks he might be calling himself or Stella attractive albeit in a vulgar way, is like saying they are powerful and shit.
Man, the moment I watched this episode I knew the reactors were gonna feel the pain
Blitz
The Sin of Wrath, takes anger management lessons.
They need to stop letting Blitzø friggin’ drive…
I hate Stella and Andrealphus with every fiber and atom of my being.
(Blitz)
i feel ya. i have a feeling they will get theirs in the end
Blitz
It's really interesting now, Blitz is rising in fame amongst all the other Imps, everyone wants to start working for him while Stolas gets put into the lowest tier of demons where even Imps now mock and insult him, no powers, no legions, now he gets to see hell like that
Im not worried about him since 100 years dont seem so bad to him, but im scared of what messed up stuff Stella will do to fully turn Octavia against Stolas now that he is out of the picture
Did you know satans voice actor played scar on lion king broadway, judge frollo from hunchback broadway, and hades from a broadway. I can hear judge frollo in satan so much.
Also viv said mastermind is her favorite song so far
Code blitzø
33:09 also loona and octavia are friends on social media
... Alicia ain't beating the Water elemental allegations-
Stolas always reminds me of snapes always when dumbeldore asked about lily (harry potter )
4:37 - ... I'm just now noticing this, was Loona playing online poker with other hellhounds?
Anyone else notice that Wally was with Verosika at that club?
You heard what Satan said, it’s Blitzø
i love how luna called Blitzo dad i beleive 3 times in the episode, and it made me cry everytime t-t
Blitzø is changing for the better. O7 to stolas getting setup
The Sins are such enormous powerfull demons, i wonder how Lucifer is when taking things seriously
Satan being played by Patrick Page who played Hades in Hadestown, Highly recommend, is so great.
Next one is the final episode of season 2 in December.
Blitzø: um, actually, the O is
SNARLS IN SATAN
Nope! Nope that's it you nailed it!
Leaving this for anyone who needs a copy-paste: Blitzø
You. You're a real one.
I would have loved it if during his rant against Satan Blitz said "AND THE O IS SILENT!"
Vassago is voiced by the same guy who voiced Perrito the best doggo from Puss in Boots
I love it when vasago speaks Spanish, I know a little Spanish but I always love to learn different types of languages🤩🤩🤩🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
8:15 Beelzebub said the exact same thing
*complains about the blatantly incestuous remarks*
Oh wow, it's almost like the show takes place somewhere where such things would be expected, like, I dunno, HELL or something!😂
I find it interesting that Satan is a dragon humanoid. Plus Demon / Devil law is essentially pointless or irrelevant on higher level demons and devils.
(Blitzø) Of *course* Luci left a duckie on his chair.
Part of me was hoping Satan would narrow his eyes and say something in line with. "Alright things aren't adding up, one or both of you are lying."
Yeah, he did not care enough about the trial to do that unfortunately😭
I feel like hes "Aggressively Jealous" of Stellas looks, that's why he's always like "You are SO LUCKY that youre attractive/hot etc" he knows she's not the brightest crayon in the box, and probably feels like her looks are wasted on her.
So are we supposed to ignore that Crimson runs his own business in the Greed Ring and is a very successful imp?
A successful criminal is still a criminal. Crimson was the head of a mafia family; I.M.P. is a _legitimate_ business. The only crime was "stealing" the book - the actual assasination firm and the work they did _wasn't_ illegal, hence why the crystal was such a big deal.
The crime is stealing a "Royal Goetia artifact for personal use"
Crimson was nearly broke when we saw him so no he is not successful.
The song and voice acting this episode 😮💨🔥👌🏾
Edit: Typo
Alicia there was even a little rubber duck on his throne
8:03 How did I know she would do this? 🤣🤣🤣
Now Beelzebub comment on Satan without a shirt being hot as fuck makes so much more sense
23:53, be honest who didn't see that Luzifer throne was behind beelzebub and asmodeosthe hole time
Minor annoyance with the subs in the episode, people are going to be spelling Vassago's name wrong forever now.
Kinda messed up that stolas legit put blitz over his own daughter didn’t even think what would happen man’s the worst
Now we just gotta wait till Christmas time for the Season 2 Finale. Then after that, I'm guessing Hazbin Hotel Season 2 out come spring time.
repeating a joke I made once before but you'd think Blitz would call a lawyer or something. again. Hell
then again this is pretty much a kangaroo court
16:53 man, Alicia you will love Steven Universe soo much
Poor boy don't even have his antidepressants...
OMes30 in the chat asking the real questions, did we just forget that Blitz has a portal gem on his hand?!
I'm outside waiting for my Uber order it's so cold I saw ice birds house and said I feel like I'm in his house right now.
Blitz and the Rat Queen Alicia. I am glad to be graced by your presence so soon on this episode. I love you and you heart. You rock!
Vasago is a certified good boy
