Silver lining in missing him is we got to see what Silvos was made of and got his chance to shine. Now we won't have to rely too much on Demko Heroics and can still feel safe with Silovs between the pipes, giving less chances for Demko to get injured and have him ready and primed for playoffs
Don’t disrespect your rivals sure we might hate on them as Canucks fans, but we can’t say our rivals are bad when we know they have the best player in the world and they were one game away from winning the Stanley Cup last year.
Yeah, I think his injuries and past Canucks’ goalies injuries is a byproduct of Ian Clark’s coaching. Don’t get me wrong he is a good coach, but being athletic and making all those crazy saves pushes the body to the absolute limit.
@@xSG199x There are certainly times where it calls for that extreme athleticism and flexibility, but yeah the human body can only handle so much before it takes a toll
@@xSG199xI think that’s what makes me really excited for the new coach; he coached Shesterkin and look at him now. I don’t remember Shesty having a longer injury history than Demko’s either.
As nice as these saves all are its really nice to see how often the score is with the nucks up cause boy howdy has that not been the case so often in the last few years

Oh, so this is why Demko was a Vezina finalist (I’ve only finally started paying attention to hockey full time, even with my hometown Blackhawks being absolutely terrible)
Oilers had nothing to worry about then because Demko is always injured. 4 months after the playoffs and he still is injured. Entire Canucks team is glass.

He would have Soo many shut outs if he could just lock it down and not choke. Letting one in within the last minute of the game. It happens every time.

4 deep forward lines, and (if healthy) a very good goalie tandem. Only critique that can really be made is about our defence but even then, as long as Hughes and Hronek do what they did last year, and the other 4 play good defence we’re good.

Demko is the best goalie in the league 👍
A bit of a stretch, but definitely better than Marky at this point in time and likely in the top 5 goalies overall when he's healthy.
