I fell and landed on my back off beam a few times back in the day and it just knocks the wind straight out of you. Glad she got some deep breaths in and seemed to be okay. Gymnasts are tough as!
As a Brit, the first thought when watching any sport is "something will go wrong". Followed by "we [ as a nation] will lose" So then if things do go right it is a pleasant surprise. But enter hoping, believe it won't, take the pressure off and overall in most sports do well in these major sporting events.
@Bunbun&me crossing 'As a Brit' is acceptable in common slang and informal communication, which this clearly is. So there is a lesson for you. Don't preach when you don't understand the nuances of the language.
I understand why this video was posted now. The uploader wants you to laugh at Jessica Gadirova. Instead all of the comments are sympathetic and rightly no one is laughing at a fall. (For anyone reading the uploader absolutely hates Britain and all British people.)
I competed at international level ( not like Jess obvs!) She did amazing too take deep breaths as I no when you land on your back it knocks the wind out of your sails!! It also effects your mind set you no you have to get back up there and carry on regardless. She does this with such composure and dignity as she takes her time before getting on her feet (10 sec rule) I’ve seen others hop straight back on and then it seems to go downhill for them. She is a beautiful gymnast and 🇬🇧 couldn’t be more proud of her and her sis. X
She seemed like she was going a hyper speed, almost like it was fast forwarding. It was a nice routine but it seemed like if she slowed down a hair she would have been a more successful. Idk
That's exactly what I was thinking. It seemed she was giving up gracefulness for speed. A lot of difficult maneuvers done well, but I'd rather see a smooth, graceful routine with less jumping up and down like a whack-a-mole on speed.
Hi Jessica I am still watching and admiring your progress Please be yourself. Calm Down ,and you will never ever will fail! With best wishes your former coach
Con caída o sin ella, esta rusa inglesa ganará, pues no están las rusas genuinas compitiendo. With or without fall, this russian born in England will win, because the authentic russians Girls aren't competing.
Gymnastics is, quite frankly, insane! So many injuries, so very dangerous, and for what? A slim possibility of brief fame and medals...smh. Same goes for ice skating. You need to do triple axles just to compete! But, to each their own, if that is what they want.
@@karapalin Exactly. They need better choreographers, one who don’t think flailing the arms around counts as the required dance elements. As a dance teacher and former gymnast, any time I see constantly moving, flailing arms, I know it’s not the gymnast’s fault - it’s because the choreographer was too lazy to put in an actual dance move.

glad she's okay, and redeemed herself with floor. absolutely phenomenal
She's gaining a ton of confidence and experience. She came back strong!
NO BUT IMAGINE THE SCORE WITHOUT THE FALL. SHE MADE ALL HER CONNECTIONS
She did not made the leap connections in the beggining.
@@eimardgomes1128 I'd say she got that first one as well. she might've gotten a .1 deduction for slow connection but she did connect it for sure
@@vadimkrasnorada1805 Nah I don’t think she got the connection on the first series, and even the second series was slow
I don’t think she would have been credited for the first leap series. There was enough of a bobble that she broke the connection.
mediocre score for a mediocre routine imo
Умница, после такого падения собралась и отлично закончила упражнение. Надеюсь, обошлось без травмы! Очень красивая спортсменка!

I like to watch gymnastics but I also find it scary
@@emmanuelmushi3072 I agree when they fall like that
That wolf jump 1/1 was probably the highest leap I’ve seen on beam
Right? Probably the best one ever done also
It *WAS* pretty amazing!!
also the nastiest one.
gymnast must push herself to jump higher because its a 360degree turn, dahhh
@@climbergreenO Watch Nastia Liukin's wolf jump with a 360 degree and you'll change your mind. Dahhh
This happened at last year's euros, too. Man, European beam hates Jessica.
Anyways, I’m glad she's okay.
Jessica is so young and talented. I hated to see a fall for her but I’m glad she didn’t get hurt
You know the fact that she got up off the floor from that incredibly hard fall, that shows dedication and perseverance. Absolutely fantastic ❤️👏👏👏
Great job getting back up Jessica! Many hugs from Montana USA! GB is no doubt proud of you!
I love the “cmon Jess” from the speaker. He was rooting for her and that was cool
Her dance work is amazing 👏
As a gymnast this fall is pretty much your worst nightmare - except missing your feel on your dismount maybe. Nasty fall
Such a shame. It was a gorgeous beam and she recovered well.
So happy she got her redemption on floor💙
Was a great routine, hope she is OK today, such a talented gymnast
She is really good and performed well.
These commentators are so positive; so much better than the US ones :/
Yikes, that was scary. You could tell she kinda knocked the wind out of herself. Good for her for getting back up and finishing strong.

I was thinking Navieba type of scary ! Glad this young lady is ok :)
Maravillosa atleta !
Very talented, but she made some very obvious stumbles before her fall.
Oof, I felt that landing- yikes. Tough as nails, getting right back on the beam
haha loved the attitude getting back on the beam

Istg she did smth like this last euros
The fact that she came back and finoshrd the ritean proves she will get an olympic gold one day.well done
No it doesn't, what?
The BBC are SO NICE :)
The reaction moment when she fell down😔She literally wanted to scream and cry🥺

Oh my God, Jessica Gadirova!
Wow all the frantic, spiky arm waving is really not a joy to watch! Glad she was ok after the fall, that really was a nasty one.
The way she got on😱
Didnt she also have a scary fall on beam, on the same exact skill, on the same exact competition.
Where can I see the complete video from the competition
Cue the actual scary falls montage lol
Ojalá no se haya lastimado más d la cuenta.
OK BUT THE MOUNT
This fall is only scary for non gymnast viewers. Gymnasts fall off apparatus all the time, especially during training. This one isn't scary at all.
That hurt my bungholio@!!!!!! okurrrr
It wasn't a scary fall. Don't be so dramatic.
She was rushing
📒 boa noite 🌈🌍💫🇧🇷💫🌍🌈🎧🎤👏🖌️✍️

En realidad es irlandesa de nacimiento y azerí de origen por lo visto
Didnt she have another scary fall before as well? Or was that on bars?
She had a bad fall at Euros last year
Ela fez a entrada Soares ?
Também fiquei pensando se era
Não é

The thought of knowing that if you fuck up its going to be all over the internet has got to suck. 😕
I love beam. She's an example of bad beam, but she's okay though.
Россияне когда будут выступать?
What a shame 😔 head up girl yah not done just yet

It’s very fun 🤩 but yea the high prospect of injury is scary
Both Gadrirova sisters need to work on choreography on beam and floor. They look so stiff all the time.
They have good choreo on floor
Esp their arms, looks like she's slapping away wasps.
