Can you explain the 7 minutes of Wi-Fi thing?
i talk abt it in my q&a video but you get a certain amount of megabytes per person per day because wifi is super limited on the ship and it usually ends up lasting for about 7 minutes :)
I don't know if you were calling the food you showed from the convenience store sushi, but in case you were, that is not sushi, it is an onigiri. :)
Also tip if you go to Japan, don't vlog on trains and buses, if you're going to do it, do it quietly. I'm sure if you're a foreigner they would understand that you don't understand their culture, but people north of Osaka like it to be quiet, and it's just respectful.
I'm glad you had fun in Japan though!! It's amazing to get a taste of different cultures.
you're literally living my dream
Check out Long Islan University's LIU Global, a similar program but not on a ship.
I miss japan 😭 if I ever do semester at sea I’d love to go back 😭
I loved this video! I want to go to Japan!!
loving your vlogs :)) I also died at the "are you okay" after your friend falling hahahah
oh what a fab trip so far, the interactive art museum i think needs adding to my bucket list
You should be friends w/ Gracie O’Connor she’s a youtuber too on the same boat I think :)
YESSSSSS. She's the Student Vlogger on the ship & I LOVE WATCHING HER VIDEOS!!!
I was just thinking that !!! I was like wait aren’t they on at the same time 😂
Your footage is soooo nice, steady and cool, unlike other vlogs.
Just watching this video made me realize how much I miss Japan 😭 so many places I remember going to ⛩
i just got admitted for fall 2020 and now these vlogs hit different knowing im gonna be living it
Ooo, hope you have a blast!!!
@Olivia SAMEEEE
Haha rip to you Covid screwed that up. Hope you get to go again
Such amazing experiences at a young age! You’re all so blessed
you should do a semester at sea haul when your home for a video! Also yes to the q and a !
Do you know Gracie?! Love your vlogs and hers.
Also why only 7 minutes of WiFi? So that everyone gets some?
Gracie O'Connor???
I watch them bot hehe
It's really rude to talk like that on local trains there. Please be more considerate of others on the train the next time you go.
why is that rude? sorry if that sounds dumb I just genuinely dont know
@@karinneypenny It's just general train etiquette there. It can be disturbing to other passengers if you are doing things like having loud conversations, playing your music loud enough that others can hear, speaking on the phone, etc.
Great smile 🤣 alexa wonderful ❤️ smile amazing 💕
Welcome to Japan🌸
Can you do a whole video about not being able to go to China, Malaysia and India because of the Corona virus.
Please do a Q&A! I have so many questions I just got accepted for spring 2021! Are the mattresses actually comfy or are they awful dorm mattresses? Also how much is it to get your nails done on ship? Like I can't find anything about the salon and salon prices? Is it hard being at sea so long?
yes my bed was very comfortable! and for a regular manicure i believe it was around $35 and for gel i think it's like $45-50 but i don't remember exactly. you get used to being at sea i personally didn't mind it!
Love your video! With the green tea-you put the powder in first then pour the hot water!
hope you are having the time of your life!
How do you plan your stays in the different countries?
I really want to know this too, do you just make friends and help pay or what?
you use one of the four computers on the ship that has internet to plan hotels/flights with your friends!
This whole experience is so good for you, Alexa. This gives you some understanding of different cultures and how we are one world that all has to be able to get along. It also gives you an appreciation for the fact that there is more to the world than just the United States. (And I say that as an American citizen.) The "nationalism" movement in the USA is so dangerous... to think that everything has to be America first. We are one world. Your semester at sea experience is going to give you perspectives that will shape your opinions for the entire rest of your life. It is so good for you. To some people, perhaps it looks like just a bunch of fun... but you're learning about the world in all your travels. Because I watched one semester at sea video, UA-cam is now recommending videos from several semester at sea student vloggers like yourself... but of the ones I've seen, I find yours the most interesting and most watchable. Keep doing what you're doing!
My one concern is that if you were to buy as many clothing items at the other ports of call as you did at this one... how would you be able to get it all home? Seems like at that rate, you're going to end up having to ship stuff back home because it will exceed your capacity to lug it off the ship in your suitcase at the end of the semester.
Jim Zim i heard from an older saser that at the end they have like a donation/ like a can drive but for old clothes lmao also people will stuff their bags full of snacks so that’s where the new souvenirs go
How much do you usually spend on port trips?
I have a question - how much money did you spend while you had those weeks on land?
What kind of camera did you use?
what’s the audio name? x
Is there a library on the ship?? Can someone who reads frequently access books?
yes!
Great faces 👌 wonderful ❤️🙏❤️ blogger !!
Where did you get the chop sticks 😍
a little shop in Kyoto :)
i love watching your videos! i am hoping to go of sas and a q&a would be really useful!
So did nena shelby
what is the cost of going on sas?
I watched a video and for an outside double it is 35,000 dollars. Keep in mind that is only for four months. But for an inside triple it is about 20,000 dollars. That dose not include what you do outside of the ship.
depending on what classes you're taking, it starts at $20K including food and room but can go up to $30K - $45K if you want to get super fancy with the rooms, etc... Extra cost if you decide to splurge on extra things the ship offers: drinks, foods, and off-SAS trips.
Good news is you can work as a student to help with the cost.
I’ll address this in my Q&A but it honestly really varies based on your spending in country/room on the ship
Beautiful❗️I also travel Vlog on youtube from japan
Why did she delete the comment section in other vlogs?
probable because someone said something bad
for some reason it won’t let people comment haha
