I have a 2000 Bounder 34D, and I love it! It is primarily factory inside. I've only made a few changes and that was to paint one of the bedroom walls a lite shade of warm sage green, put down new tile in the kitchen and bathroom and removed the wall paper borders and replaced them with ones that I like so much better. I polyurethaned all the woodwork. other than those things, I love it!
That’s awesome!! 😁😁 That year bounder is such a good and reliable motorhome. It’s good to hear from other’s that have good experiences with their older model bounders. It’s reassuring and believe it or not we haven’t heard from one person with bounder in our year range with a bad thing to say about it😁😁
This video just popped up, and I watched it. Have been looking for paint ideas, and still think I'm going to just wrap ours in my shop. But that's not cast in concrete. The RV looks good. I'm remodeling and repowerig my Old 89 Fleetwood Limited. (FERD) I swapped out the tired and thirsty Ford EFI 460 engine and 3 speed transmission in 2000 to a Cummins Turbo Diesel. Just upgraded the transmission to a hopped up Allison 1000 5 speed and hot rodded the Cummins engine this month up to 400 HP. So with the rearend regeared I did a few years ago, I should see 14 MPG out of it now, because the engine won't have to work as hard as the old Ford. Building a new cold air system for it now! Coming along nicely considering there isn't a lot if rimm left in the doghouse for it. HA! I did the drive train repower because it only got 6 MPG with the Ford Gas motor, and with these latest mods I should see 13-14 with this new drivetrain. Like I said I'm an old Hot Rodder and this big bus has been my playtoy for decades... I ripped out my interior too and went to electric movie theater zero wall slides and a pop up big screen tv. Sadly my old girl doesn't have any slides. But, with the new interior it feels a lot bigger. I've been specing out the new solar system that will go on after I recoat the roof. Seriously looking at just painting it with flex seal. I've used it on the seams and am very happy with it. Best part is the wife and I are both retired and have a Ranch house in the Country with a big shop behind the house for me to play in. A Car Guys dream shop. Our life story would fill a book. But I agree with the cost of rebuilding vs buying a new one.... Especially if one is a gear head like me. Color me subscribed!
Your “do it yourself” paint job is amazing!!! Could you share the products used as I want to do mine myself. It’s probably about the same condition as your stated. What sand paper did you use, primer, paint, etc? Thanks!
Hello and thank you!! It’s quite a list to go through. We’ve posted it in the comments a few times but we do have an ebook on our website that explains the process in a bit more depth and we’ll be putting out some videos soon as well that show some of the steps. www.travelingsellvation.com Thanks again😁😁
no offense but if you don't have a basic idea of the tools and materials you'll need then you probably shouldn't just dive into a project like this but best of luck .
Cudoos to you both! A great story and couple strength. Guys can do anything with the support of their spouses. The struggles of prepping the exterior, the vision of a work in progress. That’s how I like to work too. Create, improvise, and overcome obstacles, hard work! Thanks for the video of full body paint! -Jersey Mike, 39’ 5’er, F450
Great job. I am looking at a used Thor ACE. All what I can afford 7 year old an it's looking like 20. I was thinking to paint it if we buy it. This is why I found your videos. Thanks for posting.
I love it,!!! And the fact that you're just trying to be typical not trying to be out here be flashy and be the biggest star You take consideration us regular everyday life people❤❤❤
This is beautiful. I am beginning a rehab on a 96 Gulf Stream. The interior is the easy part for me but wasn't sure about the outside. Now I know. Hopefully we will meet on the road some day!
Hi I really like your video it's very informative I just bought a 2000 feet wood storm I been looking for videos of how to update it your paint job it's right on point 👍
This really is spectacular great job. I just bought a 1996 National Tropi-cal we are gonna live in it for a while to save for land and to travel for a bit.
I came across your channel looking for information on how to paint RV stripes, I think your RV came out beautiful. I’m not going to go as far as you did. So far I’ve taken off all the decals that says winnebago adventurer and not replacing them, I’m just leaving the big W on the rear side’s. I’m just now starting to tape off the old stripes sanding and filling the cracks and primer. I went to the auto paint supply and picked out the color and had them mix it, I bought a spray gun from Harbor freight and all I’m waiting for now is some good weather so I can paint the stripes, and after the stripes dry, I will wax and polish the motorhome. Hopefully it will look as good as yours. Great work 👍🏻
Well done to you guys. Awesome transformation on the Fleetwood Bounder. Great video too. We are from Great Britain and bought a 1997 Fleetwood Bounder in Black with Gold stripes, think it is original. Ours needs some work, but we love it! Chevrolet engine. American manufacturing on the RV/Coach is outstanding. Thanks for the video.
08 Jayco 328rls. I've got about half the decals off gonna tape them off and repaint them back to color match my truck. Looks like you guys did a great job
Hay yall, please do a video on the purchasing process on how you found it and what you paid for it and money you spent step by step. Love yalls videos.
Thanks for the video. I'm painting my class A this summer and I need ideas on how to put the strips on . the exterior. thanks. I have the primer on and ready to paint on the design strips.
I appreciate this video. Thanks for making it. I am about to start a full rebuild on a 27ft Southwind. You video is the first one that has inspired to film and record my effort. I am currently only $1000 in...I expect to spend 25-30k over 3 years building up what would cost my 80k+ to build knew. This is truly inspiring.
Thank you!! That means so much!! We encourage you to record the progress. In retrospect, we wish we would have as well. Wasn’t practical for us at the time and we didn’t know we were going to create a channel but we really wish we would have gotten more footage and put it out as we renovated. 😁😁
Im about to try renovating a TT it needs roof work then ill check for water damage . If i can get all that functional the inside i can update. But the outside needs a update and i have no ideas . You did a fantastic job on your reno. And that paint job. Wow
Thank you. That’s awesome. We’re excited for you. We have an eBook on our website that offers tips and ideas pertaining to the outside. There are some easier and cheaper options than the route we took. Let us know if we can help!!
Wow, You did a beautiful job. We have a 1997 38’ Bounder that we have had for a couple years, the outside is in pretty nice shape, as was the interior, however we updated it pretty completely. We love the rig, also no payments. Next thing may be the exterior paint after seeing yours. Thank You for showing us.
You guys did an amazing job! Do yall use a home frig or a RV frig. Mine went out and a lot of repair people talk away from reparing it. I love the fact I can go fully off grid and not need power. What are your thoughts? I'm going to grab your ebook, I have some serious roof leaks that need my attention. Keep up the great work.
Thank you!!😁😁 We still have the original gas electric frige. We have an interior renovation video as well. If our gas/electric frige went out, we would probably get a standard frige because of the high cost of a new one. We do enjoy having the off grid capabilities but a new side by side rv frige is insanely expensive.
bbbbrrrrroooooooo.....you rocked it. and have way more patience I would ever have. my ADHD would have gone sideways real quick...but it looks amazing appreciate y'all
Great job on the RV and the video! I just started renovating the inside of an RV for full time living. We’ve been full time for two years already and I’m excited to change our new rv into a practical and cozy space. Thanks for sharing your beautiful transformation 👍
I love ❤️ your introduction. I love and admire what you guys do. What an amazing job on your renovation. What a great channel and warm friendly couple. Highly recommended for y’all to follow.
Weekend RVing thank you so much. We love your channel. ❤️ Your morning lives are a good treat for anyone to wake up to. They are super enjoyable😊 -Rebecca
Just subscribed and I'm considering a renovation to my 39' Class A, you are very talented, the renovation is inspiring. I did not see a booth, you removed the original, where do you eat?
Thank you. Go for it! The dinette took up too much space for what little functionality it offered us. We just hold our plates. Could have trays or tv trays if we needed.
Wow, it is beautiful to look at! What was the name and brand of the creamy white paint you used to start off with. Thanks again for what you do to show us what can be done. Thanks for the video.
Fernanda Amaya thank you! It was soo much work but it was soo worth it and once it’s done, it’s done. The benefits outweigh the work and now we’re completely debt free. We’ll have another video up next week and a lot more coming showing in more detail how we did it and how we resell to make money as we travel. Thanks for watching! : )
I BOUGHT A 92 GEORGIE BOY AND AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT AND HOW FAR I WANT TO GO WITH IT. ONE SIDE LOOKS GREAT BUT THE OTHER SIDE IS CRAPPED OUT FROM THE SUN. I AM NOT SURE I WANT TO GO AS FAR AS YOU GUYS, BUT I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING TO IT. FIRST IS RECAULK AND COAT THE ROOF!
wowww what a great job I'm thinking on painting my front cap on my mini lite and I to will be doing it outside PLEASE walk me through it. One other thing I would have done with yours is chrome out the mirrors 🙂
Thanks! We never thought about chroming the mirrors. Looking at a pic of it, it would look pretty good. They actually make a paint that looks just like chrome after it cures. We have an eBook that serves as sort of a guide that we’ll be putting out in a few weeks.
You did a FABULOUS paint job!! I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself! Will be forwarding to my FB...cuz this shows others...this is 100% DOABLE! LUCRETIA-
BURNIN' UP THE ROADS thank you. We’d like to do a video on the materials and process that is a little more detailed for people who actually want to try it.
Wow, Ben and Rebecca! Your Bounder looks fantastic! You did an awesome job painting your RV. Funny to hear Ben talking about how he painted stripes on his bike as a kid, and now here he is painting stripes on your RV. Haha. Great job!
I don't know how I'm just discovering you guys now, with all the RV videos I've watched, but that was awesome! Legit comedic talent as well. I just bought an older class A last month. it's in great shape mechanically and I'm about 2/3 the way done turning the inside into a studio. Cabinets are done, kitchen etc, all blacked out. My plan is to paint the outside gray and black, that's what caught my attention. I would love to get some tips on the paint and prep. Hilarious guys
Thank you!! That sounds awesome!! It should make a great studio. We actually have an eBook on the renovation and paint on our website TravelingSellvation.com
You did an amazing job! Especially considering you did it on dirt and grass completely DIY. We got an ugly brown 1992 Tioga and I’m hoping we can achieve something similar. Even if we just get rid of the brown stripes it would look better.
Thank you!!😁😁 That was actually our mentality when we started our outside renovation. We thought even if we completely screw up, it still has to look better than it did when we started. We really looked at it as painting a house as opposed to an auto body paint job. That made it less stressful and easier to accomplish.
Holiday Ramblers are great motorhomes! It’s doable and if you don’t want to get as detailed with the stripes, it’s not that bad of a job. The prep and the stripes were a little tough.
oh boy you asked for it... just purchased my very 1st rv a 1983 Holiday Rambler C-C Ambassador 24 AND I need y’all like rice needs water. I will be emailing you shortly
Fantastic job. A similar paint job from the factory would have cost over $30K. With the terrific new paints, LED lighting and other great gizmos available today, a solid older RV remodel can be a terrific value for folks willing to do a little (OK, a LOT) of work!
Thank you!!😁😁 That’s the exact same mind set we went into it with. We look at newer gas Bounders and don’t see any significant upgrades for the $150k difference
It would have been nice to see how you painted the coach - not just how you did the stripes. Did you spray the base color or did you roller it or ???? What materials were used on the base coat?
was just wondering because we just replaced our decals with a similar to original except we left all the bounder and fleetwood stickers off and put other decals in there place. No where near as good as your work.
Love your video...we just bought a 1998 Fleetwood Bounder 34J...going to refurbish the total inside....where can we get carpet for the cockpit? Also, where did you buy your Bounder Decals for outside? Love the paint!!!
Wow, you guys did amazing job on this rv. Probably the best custom rv paint job I've ever seen! Looks like it came that way from the factory that way! In fact if just said it did come the factory that way, I would've believed you 🤣🤣. Great video!
I’m from Alabama and thriftiness is key when having nice things on a budget. I’m proud of y’all.
Thank you!!😁😁
im a painter for 25 years and i dont even think i could make it look that good!... Great Job!! you inspired me to do better
That is an amazing compliment!! I’m sure you could but thank you for the uplifting comment! Makes our day!!😁😁👍👍👋👋
This is a great reno! I will be re-watching this again. The paint and graphics design and execution looks pro.
👍
I think you guys did an amazing job! I've been painting cars and doing body work for 37 years.
Thank you! That’s a great compliment!😁😁👍👍

Very nice result. Wanting to ‘walk out in the woods’ and ‘having visions’ were hilarious. Perfect line delivery.
The work was incredible... very original painting...congratulations!!!👍
Thank you!!😁😁
Came out great. Good call with the rear stripes. Have a pleasant day. Cheers.
Great job. We just bought a Class C Sunseeker 3100 and I really love your paint. Keep going and live free.
Nice!! That’s a good size motorhome. Big enough and still convenient to use. 😁😁👋👋👍👍

Please when you have a moment could you make a video update on your exterior and interior renovation
This is AMAZING!! You guys are tooo cute and funny! I'm a my first RV journey also. This was sooo helpful. Thank you guys 💯🤜🤛😉

Thanks for sharing, was considering an rv restoration, feeling better about it after watching your video

I'm thinking on painting my front cap on my mini lite and I to will be doing it outside PLEASE walk me through it.
Guys absolutely fantastic
Thank you!!😁😁
You did a FABULOUS paint job!! I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself! Will be forwarding to my FB...cuz this shows others...this is 100% DOABLE! LUCRETIA-

Wow, Ben and Rebecca! Your Bounder looks fantastic! You did an awesome job painting your RV. Funny to hear Ben talking about how he painted stripes on his bike as a kid, and now here he is painting stripes on your RV. Haha. Great job!
Lol Thank you! It was definitely an experience! It was like painting the world's biggest bicycle! haha
Came out so good!!!! Amazing 🤩
Thank you!!😁😁
I don't know how I'm just discovering you guys now, with all the RV videos I've watched, but that was awesome!
You did a beautiful job. Looks amazing
Thank you😁😁
What type of paint did you use? It looks fantastic!
Just a single stage auto paint
Looks real good.
Thank you!!😁😁
Great job my friend where did you get the decals and light lenses etc from ?
Thank you. Both on ebay
I love the work you did to your rv
You did an amazing job! Especially considering you did it on dirt and grass completely DIY. We got an ugly brown 1992 Tioga and I’m hoping we can achieve something similar. Even if we just get rid of the brown stripes it would look better.
Thank you!!😁😁 That was actually our mentality when we started our outside renovation. We thought even if we completely screw up, it still has to look better than it did when we started. We really looked at it as painting a house as opposed to an auto body paint job. That made it less stressful and easier to accomplish.
Hi! I loved the work that you did on your RV, can you please tell me what Paint and Primer did you use on the outside??😊
Thank you!!😁😁 No primer just standard single stage paint.
I have a 97 holiday rambler imperial and I'm in the same boat as you. And I want to paint mine..
Holiday Ramblers are great motorhomes! It’s doable and if you don’t want to get as detailed with the stripes, it’s not that bad of a job. The prep and the stripes were a little tough.
Amazing!
oh boy you asked for it...
just purchased my very 1st rv a 1983 Holiday Rambler C-C Ambassador 24 AND I need y’all like rice needs water. I will be emailing you shortly
Congratulations!!😁😁 That’s really cool! Holliday Rambler made some really cool RVs!!
It looks really nice guys
Thank you!!😁😁
Fantastic job.
It’s in the video.
Fantastic job! This RV looks incredible. Great work!
Thank you!!😁😁
Beautiful work. Is there a reason you left the fleetwood bounder naming intact?
Thank you. We wanted it to look as factory as possible.
was just wondering because we just replaced our decals with a similar to original except we left all the bounder and fleetwood stickers off and put other decals in there place. No where near as good as your work.
Love your video...we just bought a 1998 Fleetwood Bounder 34J...going to refurbish the total inside....where can we get carpet for the cockpit? Also, where did you buy your Bounder Decals for outside? Love the paint!!!
Thank you!! We got both on ebay. The carpet is auto carpet (the higher grade) but we cut it using the pattern of the old carpet. The hump anyway😁
Wow, you guys did amazing job on this rv. Probably the best custom rv paint job I've ever seen! Looks like it came that way from the factory that way! In fact if just said it did come the factory that way, I would've believed you 🤣🤣. Great video!
Haha. Thank you.! We only tell people it’s not factory if they ask. 😁😁
Great job guys
Thank you!! 😁😁
What products did you use ? That looks amazing ! Great job ! I have an older rig that I want to redo - 94 Southwind !
We have an ebook. There is a lot to list
