100%. My partner just played the series for the first time and I had to reassure him it gets better, the first is the worst for sure. Mass Effect is my favourite game series of all time just due to sentimentality, but the first game makes me wanna die.
The story and role playing save the 1st for me but the gameplay is pretty dated

Yo…helpful hint: stay away from middle options. You play neutral, you gunna get nutual boy treatment. Consistency will get you results with dialogue situations. Present and future. I want your playthrough to get good results

Read the armor types. Wrex can only wear Krogan armor, Garrus only Turisn, everyone else can only wear human (including Tali and Liara)
Actually there’s unique quarian armor, wish he knew that he needs to level up there armor levels
