Hi doc, I'm considering an Infraorbital Rim Implant to help support a revision canthopexy (I had a canthopexy done to raise the canthal tilt, but the tilt lowered down quite a bit during recovery, hopefully an implant could provide the support system it needs to stay in place), one thing I don't understand about implants is how do they stay in place and not move? Does anything secure it in place besides a skin pocket, and would it move due to significant pressure (i.e. side sleeping)?
Taban you are a god of eye surgery.
Thank you!
He really is! I’m actually blown away by his work on the eye. What is the down time Taban?
if youre here: its over

Hey Dr Taban, Can autologous/donated cartilage be used for infraorbital augmentation like is done for nose/ear reconstruction? I have genetic hollow just on the orbital rim on left side of my face
I had a heavy jar fall on my cheekbone ( I kid you not) and after the pain subsided I've had a lopsided hollow on one side of my face where the orbital rim literally creates a circle around one eye. This has never been addressed as I had pain & swelling & two young demanding toddlers. Now it's very noticable. I iook a bit like a raccoon:( 'I've been thinking an implant that doesn't bulge or impede my use of contact lenses in the only solution. I have no interest in repeated fillers. Will the implant be permanent and will it itch or drive me nuts? I just want to look normal . I practice yoga and am otherwise "normal"--whatever that means!
Where can I come for consultation? What country doc? As I'm in Germany currently
Does Dr.Taban apply combined custom infraorbital rim-malar implants, so to augment both the undereye area as well as the cheeks/zygoma?
Yes but best to have evaluation/discussion in consultation to determine what's best for you.
Hello doctor I’m from France and would like to see you. I had a malar lift done with thread placed in my cheeks with a canthopexy back in 2019. The results are negligible. Does that disqualify me from having an infraorbital rim implant with canthoplasty?
It is still possible. To schedule virtual consultation, please call/text 310-278-1836 or send email to office@TabanMD.com
What if you have puffy under eyes bags medially and laterally how does that affect the implant procedure?
can you also do an implant for the browbone? to correct the same eye-protrusion?
No but filler possible
Hi doctor I need this treatment how many cost for the treatment doctor this treatment was safe are not permanently implant the rim is not problem for over all health doctor
you can email photo of your eyes for preliminary evaluation and fees. office@tabanmd.com

Hey i just wish to know the risk of this procedure , specifically the chance of nerve damage? (Motor/sensory)
Extremely low risk
Hello doctor! Will this help reduce the look of dark circles under bulging eyes?
Yes
Usually yes but it depends on individual anatomy.
Hello Dr., I have both sclera show and eye shadows under both eyes? Can this implant help to remove eye shadows? How high can you lift the lower eyelids because im looking for 2-4 mm above the limbus because at that position my eyes will look more even!!
It can correct both. Need detailed in consultation (okay via Skype/Facetime/WhatsApp) to determine. If interested, please call 310-278-1836 or send email to office@TabanMD.com to schedule.
can it be replaced with fillers?
Can you make a video like this for Orbital decompression?
There is an animation video on the following website link. www.tabanmd.com/orbital-decompression-bulgy-eye/
Will, this help enhance an,already deep set eye area with great fatty pads, and aegyo sal but sunken hollow, midface in upper midface area specifically?
What if ageing starts does it make the implant more prominent?..what’s the solution for that..what’s the average person ageing volume loss or bone loss?
The implant is generally conservative and blends with natural surrounding structures.
Is there a risk of migration in this implant?
How long do these implants last?
permanent
Would this fix my lack of undereye support?
Yes it is possible but need evaluation in consultation to determine if good candidate.
Do you perform this surgery under local or general anaesthetic and what is the starting starting cost of the surgery?
Usually general anesthesia or IV sedation.
To schedule evaluation in consultation, please call or text 310-278 1836 or send email to office@TabanMD.com
What’s the cost?
Please email photo of your eyes to office@tabanmd.com for preliminary evaluation and fees.
Can you give a ballpark?

Dr I have blow fracture in orbital floor which is repaired using titanium mesh and dr said that I should let medial heal on its own . Medial wall fracture has right orbit with focal bulging of right orbital fat in right ethmoid sinus. Size of defect shown in ctscan is 5mm and defect size shown in mri is 14mm axial plane. And even after surgery my eye is sunken more . Its been 23 days of surgery. What should I do ? Does my sunken eye will ever heal?🥲
