Directly comparing the manga panel to the anime, the anime shows Gojo’s exact pose but at a different angle where the camera is directly in front of him, his hands are in the same positions and this shot is the best way they could’ve done it. The background is the major difference. The clouds in the background of the manga had some sort of dreamy feel to it with the swirly clouds but in the anime we really get the feel of heaven and boring the ‘honored one’ with the golden sky.
The pose is not the same. In the manga he's shown leaning forward as though laying on the air with his head tilted upwards so he's looking down at Toji even more than he would be by default. Also, his left leg is forward with his right leg being more back which is the opposite in the anime. Though the greatest difference for me is his facial expression, which appears much more deranged in the manga than it does here. And, of course, my biggest issue with the anime portrayal isn't the pose, it's the perspective and angle of the shot being changed so drastically. Perspective and angle are EXTROADINARLY important in creating iconic shots. After all, just look at the most iconic transformation of all time; Super Saiyan Goku back on Namek. The pose he strikes right after transforming is not unique in and of itself; it's just Goku standing firmly. His arms don't have a unique position, nor his legs, or even his head. It's iconic because of the positioning of the camera and the way it affects the foreshortening. You can ONLY tell what is a reference to that pose if it has that same shot. The shot in the anime is vastly more generic, with a front-facing bust shot being quite possibly the most commonly used shot in the history of animation. This is not the best they could've done, in fact I could redraw the shot from the manga in the style of the anime to showcase this if needed. That being said, the anime version isn't outright bad; it just isn't as GOOD as what the manga gave us, in my opinion. But it is just an opinion.

I think the anime matches the atmosphere bc of the clouds above him as heaven. In the manga it was swirls of clouds and so the exaggerated angle works well in that medium.
