This is very interesting, My dad kept bees when I was a kid, but he never wanted us around when he worked them. I think he was afraid we would cause the bees to be overly anxious and increase the chances of any of us getting stung. But so glad we still have beekeepers.
Hedge Apple Acres funny you should ask that. I just got another swarm and made a warre hive for them. I’m editing that video tonight and will be out on Friday!
I use upper entrances without any landing boards. The bees will land on the horizontal surface of the entrance or on the vertical wall of the hive. I know a lot of people are very pro landing boards. However, for me it hasn't been an issue.
What is the recommended amount of time that you leave the split on top of the hive? Do you check it after a couple of days (4 to 5) and if you see a queen cup, then relocate the split to where you want it?
Love that you left in the "blank moment" in the video! :) Great video as always.. THIS CHANNEL IS WAY UNDER-RATED AND DESERVES SO MUCH MORE!!!!!

I can remember sitting in the pickup when my dad checked his bees and it started love for bees.
Love your bee videos buddy. Good stuff👍👍👍
You’re making me excited for my bees this year and trying warre hives.
Have you received your bees? Also, I've never used a warre hive but I'm interested in them. Do you plan on making videos about it?

Your bee videos are always super interesting. How is the bee tree?
Thank you! The bee log is doing good and I plan to get into it more in a couple weeks.
