“Old ass games of an arcade nature.” Great summary!

Old school arcade games easy to jump in easy to jump out takes time to build skill and treat patients and effort to become a master still some of the truly hardest games to this day and then you got Nintendo hard but that's a whole different category on the NES

Druaga's pace picks up once you find the chest with the speed boots in stage 3. It's a good game, but can be quite obtuse in how you can finish it. Chests sometimes require doing weird things to get them to appear, and some have negative items in them.

I’m most interested in Splatterhouse that ranges from $30 to $150 on eBay for the Famicom cartridge 😔. That said, Pac-Man CE is pretty cool to be NES-ified

Hey it's worth the buy if you imported or get it on eBay make sure you get it with the stickers if you do decide to grab it though I got mine completely CIB except I knew ahead of time but it was missing one sticker on the sheet it's awesome now if you're familiar with The Binding of Isaac they're obviously paying tribute to those stickers in the famicom games North American versions had posters but I'm sure you could already know that knowledge I'm just babbling

In case you want to know about Xevious is that in the Namcot Collection, there is a collection called NC and it contains the Xevi numbers and the third wallpaper has mostly Xevious characters. If you want to know more about the Xevi numbers, letters, and language; I’ll be more than happy to share the link with you. Nice video btw!!

I played Battle City when I was about 6 years old, on a chinese bootleg Famicom that contained actual Japanese games. Battle City is all about protecting your HQ and use your tank to destroy enemy tanks, it can get intense for an 8-bit game. There is also a SNES version, with improved 16 bit graphics.

Tower of Druaga isn't that bad, just archaic. You can speed up the hero with a hidden powerup in the second floor. Kill two black blobs and a chest will appear. What's wrong with the famicom version of Galaga? It's pretty much identical to the arcade version.

I bought the Japanese physical. It only came with volume 1 I thought it’d come with every game. I feel like it should’ve. The play Asia reviews are a bit confusing since the reviews say it came with 38 games but I assume they bought all of it on the eshop afterwards. Guess I’ll have to do more research next time

Since I played many of these old games back in the day, I've had my fill of those limited 8-bit games... I realize their importance, but this is a super EASY pass for this title... All that being said, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE new pixel art games, because I still appreciate the retro visual style... however, I just much, MUCH prefer the new gameplay.

I imported the JPN one to collect and DLed Vol. 1 for the US.
Look, if you go into this knowing that you are spending $20 for the PacMan CE demake, you'll be fine. The rest of it is filler that you've most likely played many, many times before. The demake is right on the cusp of being worth $20. I didn't like CE2 at all. It tried to add too much to the formula. And since CE1 is stuck on my 360, this is the next best thing.
Vol. 2 is a def. "wait for a sale" title.
Also, just in case you missed it in the video. You can download the JPN free version and get access to that chameleon game, which sucks.

I am getting sick of how phoned in these collections are becoming. You cannot tell me they cannot include 50 games easy. Sega,SNK,Neo Geo,Namco, Konami, all of these companies have huge arcade/console libraries and yet will not give us a big collection. Instead we get pity numbers at best. Namco could have given us Ralley-X,Pacmania or Pac-Man arrangement or even pac-attack and made them unlockables. Ya know I remember "Sonic's ultimate Genesis collection" had a ton of games and 2 master system games you could unlock. Where the fuck is that anymore
