Thanks James! I realize my method takes a bit more time, but in the end, I think it’s worth it. Appreciate the kind words and the comment.

I have the same question as Sonya below. I like the tape method you show, but what if the baseboards or mouldings are natural wood and aren't going to be painted? Do you recommend sealing the tape with caulk, Frogtape, or something else? I normally cut everything in, but I like the tape approach you show. I appreciate your content, I am a professional handyman that does a decent amount of smaller painting projects, and I have picked up a few things from your channel.

Very nice work. How long did you let the trim dry before putting the safe release tape on it?

If possible, I allow the trim dry 24 hours, in this case it was overnight

I'm confused as to what you are doing here. It looks like you're taping up the trim but then painting the wall white?

I see what you are doing now after watching.your other videos. I have just taped all my trim with frog tape. Can I still get the same results using this method?

Do you mean sealing the Frog Tape with the trim paint? Yes, you will get the same results. If you just use the Frog Tape without sealing it, you might have some bleedthrough, especially if the trim is not really smooth.

Did you caulk this trim? If so, did you do that before priming the trim?

What is your recommendation if the trim is natural wood and not painted?

I take it you don’t want to paint the wood trim, but are trying to create a clean transition line between the wall and the wood trim? If you could send me a couple of photos of the said areas, I can give you a detailed answer...davepatrickmartin@gmail.com
      Thanks!

What tape is that exactly? Thanks 😊

I use what’s called a low adhesion, safe release tape; Scotch’s Delicate Surface Painter’s Tape (2080), made by 3M
