Politicians and police can take high salaries but corruption should never be tolerated. Only two terms should be allowed and there should be strict entry criteria. All their earnings should be audited before they take the job and after completing the job. There should be a functioning legal system means no case should be pending for more than a year. Then you have a country.

Really insightful conversation. I did not realise that BJP had cracks in UP. The opposition needs to get its act together. A good opposition is needed for health of democracy. I don’t care who is the main opposition party please atleast take up issues about the government. UP needs to change. It’s indicators are dismissal. Good governance needs opposition raising up issues. I think I have raised it many times already. Let’s be honest, most people (outside Bengal) don’t like Mamta too much but she is opposing and proving to be a credible opposition. The parties in UP might not be liked but they need a strategy to counter BJP

Among all parties ONLY AAP deserves to be in Power, as most of their members are well educated and work very much on logic and for the benefit of common man and poor class. They are honest, dedicated and hard working. With all kinds of limitations and very hostile central govt. still they could deliver the most to the common man. Delhi is the ONLY state in India which is budget surplus, despite no amount or help received from the center and also giving so many free things to citizens of Delhi, like Water, Electricity and free Bus (including AC Buses) rides for all women. There has not been a single paise raise in electricity charges or water or Bus fares since last 6 years of their rule in Delhi.

They should never loose focus on the overall development and benefits that any elected govt. would give them along with improvement in law and order situation. If there is a good law and order situation businesses will always prefer to move to such states and in turn the economy of the state will also improve.
