I remember during your budgeting year how much so many of these things would have legitimately made you cry to receive from these brands. It kind of *is* like you're winning an Oscar every time, for those who've seen how far you've come. Love you Hannah!! Xo
I thought this when Hannah got the Natasha denona pr and the merit sponsorship. I feel like there's a team of cheerleaders here behind Hannah so happy for her because she's so honest, kind and deserving
I love that when your words come out in a manner you did not intend, you make a moment out of it. Like the salad moment in this video. It's so endearing. So relatable.
We might be in totally different worlds and careers, but the feeling of “what the F am I doing?” upon returning from maternity leave is apparently universal. 😂 I recognise the feeling very well. Welcome back! You’re looking extremely beautiful and well, especially considering how I expect you probably feel. ❤
I went down the “bad wig, fell down the stairs, at the beach” line of thought with you when you were talking about the Jones Road scent 😂 glad you’re back Hannah! Also your drowsy vagueness when swatching the MOB pallet made me laugh out loud-
So glad you‘re back! Your maternity leave coincided with the last two months of my Masters thesis, and the supercuts were some of the only videos I could put on during coding, just cozy things I already know but keeping me company while I‘m doing other things with most of my brain. And to have you fully back when I‘m also back in normal life is just so nice :)
Holy shit?! Ingrid Nilsen PR!!!! Ingrid was the first beauty UA-camr I followed and regularly watched back in 2012. It is so delightful to see the worlds of beauty youtubers of my past and present collide!
So glad to see you back!! I'm fairly new to the channel, came here for the fashion content, stayed for the no/low buy inspo. While I would LOVE to see more fashion videos, I've also been thinking a lot about something you said in one of your fashion vids about honouring and giving space for "girly" things such as fashion and makeup and leaning into feminine interests. I would love to hear you talk more about this. I know it's not your usual sort of video but you're always very eloquent and good at articulating your thoughts so I'm sure it would be very interesting to hear.
I've been following Hannah since the beginning of her no buy year and seeing someone so intelligent be interested in beauty has been amazing for me! Here in the french countryside only 'bimbos' like fashion and make up so learning that I could like fashion and make up and not have that take away from intelligence was a really big thing. ♥️
I discovered your channel shortly before your maternity break and have been enjoying it. After taking one of the last classes in home ec in high school where I learned to use a sewing machine and make my own clothes, I pretty much ignored fashion and beauty/makeup for decades. Clothes were usually mail-order because I hated to shop (body self-esteem issues), and makeup was usually only a bit of eye shadow, blush, and lip gloss. Within the last year, I am rediscovering an interest in things "girly". After a career in engineering and IT, it's been fun to play with fashion from an artistic standpoint and apply such disciplines as color theory to my wardrobe. And being retired and in my sixties, it is never too late to take care my skin. Sometimes I get a bit overwhelmed by the sheer volume of choices in all categories be it clothing, skin care, or makeup. Any advice along those lines is appreciated.
MOB beauty PLEASE!!! I have seen a few videos (your bestie Kackie being one) and I am Really close to pressing that checkout button. But I love how thorough you are and would really appreciate your input. Especially since you have had years of the approach of no buy, budgeting, year or less stuff. I know your opinion will be worth while! Thanks Hannah! So happy to see you back!
thank you thank you for acknowledging how bad things are. it is really hard to see what is going on (we have family in certain areas - I don't want to politicize the comments) - but it has been hard. Thank you for posting and getting my mind off things!!
As my name is Melissa, I'm scared to show those Home Movies clips to anyone I know. Because it'll haunt me. But the 3 scenes you've linked in the description made me laugh. This video is exactly what I needed after a solid 10 days of being in bed with a very nasty flu. Thank you, HLP ❤ Loved watching your maternity leave content, and loving having you back. Hope you 3 are all doing well and staying healthy. Please take extra good care of yourself 🤗
Fellow shower face washer here 🙋🏻♀️ the way I look at it is there are far worse things I could be doing with my body-if washing my face in the shower is the “baddest thing” I’m doing, I’m doing pretty dang good 😏
I think it has something to do with using the hot water most use in the shower... But I could have misunderstood it. Oof I didn't wash mine in the shower, it wouldn't get washed.
It’s something about the hot water temp. Like you wash your body with hotter water than you’d get from the sink. Like someone else said, if I didn’t wash my face in the shower, it would never happen LOL
Hannah! I love your fashion content. Since you asked for suggestions for videos, I’d love to see you talk about how your wardrobe has transitioned between pregnancy and early motherhood. Not someone who ever plans of having kids, but someone who does have an ever-changing body and is fascinated by the way to discuss intentionality when it comes to beauty and fashion.❤❤❤
I swear I do the same thing of setting out to do minimal makeup after a stint of not wearing it to then feeling my oats too much and ending up full glam eyes 😅 also when you were gone I came to the conclusion that I am also a desaturated olive undertone, so your old videos on that have been immensely helpful!
I’ve used l’Occitane immortale formula and some other products from them. The oil serum is excellent for winter dryness for me. You have everyday dryness. I’m sure you’ll like it. The shae butter hand lotion and the body butter are excellent. Great to see you slipping back on line again.
HANNAH RIDES AGAIN! Welcome back, dear! Mob Beauty is very intriguing...especially since they do eyeshadows. But I already have all this Salt NY stuff...whatado? Kackie mentioned that Mob face makeup has more of a setting aspect than Salt, so I look forward to your thoughts. Take good care!
Coconut oil: So, for me, I have body acne. Coconut oil is considered antibacterial. When I have a breakout I use this after a shower and by morning my acne will be nearly gone (bigger spots take another treatment or two to heal). My husband did research for me because nothing was working - I'd tried so many products. But this works every time for me! And my skin is always silky and glorious after. I have actually done facial treatments as well. It didn't work as well on my face though. But, in the winter months, I'll put some on like a mask in the shower - where things are humid and warm - and then wash it off. This really helps when I have been outside and get wind burn or dry patches around my nose. I would venture the guess that it really depends on what is causing the acne. I have cystic acne, if that helps anyone. Also, I do know that for some folks coconut oil can be irritating, so that's something to consider.
Mob beauty: I will be very interested to hear about the mascara and cream shadows. I’ve seen Jessica Haze (who works with Mob) set the cream shadows with a light amount of translucent powder
Ursa Major is amazing! I'd have to say, though, that mountain glow is something I've sampled from them that I didn't really like. It leaves an oily film over the face that lasts at least an hour or two. It somehow didn't break me out.
Makeup continues to be my down time and self expression, the time in which I can be only myself for a few moments, since having my first child five years ago. It’s my morning meditation. Love seeing you back! You are forever changed, but somehow still the same❤
Shelbey Wilson is a UA-camr who highly recommends that Ursa Major serum. I bought it but haven’t tried it yet. She has very sensitive skin, so if she loves it, it is probably not pore clogging. Hope that helps! I would love to see you use the mob beauty products!
I used the immortelle oil serum on my face for years! I have dry/combo cystic acne prone skin, and my skin drank it up. The only reason i stopped was that it became cost prohibitive during my most recent maternity leave. The eye cream (gold bottle) I could take or leave, but the serum was like liquid happiness for my face ❤
Welcome back, again! Definitely take your time getting back into the swing of things...I mean, gathering up the reins and getting back on the horse! There's plenty of grace to go around.
Hi Hannah! I loved the compilations that you and Joe put together for maternity leave, but it's wonderful to have you back. I was so happy to hear you mention two brands that I love but don't hear much about on UA-cam - Le Prunier and Indie Lee. I adore the Le Prunier Plum Oil, and the Indie Lee COq-10 Toner has been a staple in my skincare routine for years.
Having now watched the video, I can say I’m most interested in the scalp treatment review (once you have time to properly engage with all of them of course) and potentially a gen see eye product overview? I’ll have to look at your previous videos to see if I’m just forgetting but I don’t think I was aware of them having eye cosmetics (which is mostly what I engage with these days) - and, once again, I’m delighted to have your thoughtful presence in my life renewed!
Welcome back! We're so glad you're here again! And lol 'Hannah rides again' just made me giggle. Give yourself some grace during this time when you're getting back into the groove, we're here for it ❤
"I guess you can have a funny name and still be beyond reproach", said in a light yet genuine tone, is what sets your presentation style apart from other reviewers and taste-discussors
That tower28 mascara is literally the best one I’ve ever used! I’d love to hear your opinion on it!! Also! Welcome back! Hope you and your family are doing well! ❤
Lovely video, first one i've seen in the now (discovered you a few weeks back!!!). Came for the fashion content but staying for your vibe!! Love it all.
Welcome back officially! I would love to hear a self care round up and ciele for sure as well as the brushes which ones do we need! Also scuttlebutt is a fabulous word!
I second that on the self care and brushes. Have used "scuttlebutt" for years. Come to find out (on NCIS of all things) the word came out of the Navy and is essentially the Navy's term for watercooler and onboard gossip.
Welcome back. I like your fashion content the best. Also interested in "clean beauty" and non-allergenic products. Challenges include dry eye syndrome, eczema and just being 66. Good luck and best wishes to you in your new year. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I may have found a drugstore dupe for velvet dragon! Maybelline super stay matte ink in Innovator. The outer component does not match the actual product inside. Its a nice fluffy formula and it is def the closest match I can come up with. Depending on the application density, you can get different effects and it looks wonderful with a blurred edge which I was so glad to see you do too! I have been bingeing your content since it first came up on my feed days ago. YOU ARE THE BEAUTY QUEEN I NEEDED.
I'm actually so excited to hear that you like the New Savant scents! I think we like a lot of the same smells (when I see a perfume you've mentioned in a store I usually smell it) and I was really interested in The New Savant, but it's just a lot to spend on a candle when you can't smell it first. Cloud Gazer sounds like it might smell a bit like Sleepy from lush, which is one of my all time faves. Hope you and baby and Joe are all happy and healthy
My husband and I say a random "It's a big step Perry!" from Home Movies when we're making decisions. There are echoes of every parent returning to work from the baby bubble in this video and you did it so eloquently and radiantly as always. ❤ You are integrating different selves which takes time. But with each time you stop recording, have a snack, and then pick up your bb, it will all feel cohesive and natural.
On the l’occitane serum: I have tried the serums through the samples and travel size forms. I personally found, while it did leave my skin looking revitalised, to be slightly irritating. This time last year I was undecided whether to try it properly (adding it to my Black Friday order) and ultimately decided was not worth the cost. However (full disclosure) I am yet to find any serum that agrees with my skin. I actually use an olive/ laburnum oil soap from Aleppo (thanks to your mum’s recommendation about soap!) and rose water in a spritzer bottle as toner and am having a pretty great time with my skin 😊 L’Occitane products I do love are the Lavender bubble bath (it’s expensive, but I measure out two tablespoons into my bath. It gives loads of bubbles and the fragrance makes me start to doze off) and the Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. I wash my hair once a week, but I found my unwashed hair could probably go well into that second week if it needed to!
Welcome back, Hannah! Can’t wait for the Patreon video telling us about the birth and how things are going (only as much as you want to share, of course). Thanks for the moment of lightness in all this dark. 🤎🤎🤎
Ong yes, what you said about getting out of the habit of taking care of yourself is so true. I've gone through periods of depression where self csre has suffered and getting back into self care is so hard for me each time, even though it can have such a good effect on your mental health.
Hannah… to say this is the first video you filmed back, it was just so easy to be a consumer of it. You seem truly peaceful and happy and it’s so lovely to experience ❤️
so good to have you back!! pls consider doing a brand review on kiko milano! i think their water eyeshadows and eyeshadow sticks will have some of those grungy colors you like, and i never see anyone talk about the brand :)
Welcome back!! It's so good to see you again. I actually would like to see a favorite brushes video with a demo of how you use them. I know what brands you prefer, but I get overwhelmed by the options when trying to shop for some myself.
I really enjoyed watching you unpack all the boxes. BK Beauty and Rephr are my two favorite and most repurchased brush brands. I refuse to purchase anymore low quality brushes.
Welcome back Hannah. You look fabulous. Congratulations to you and Joe on the new addition to your family. You and Joe are going to be sleep deprived for the next few months, so try to nap when the baby sleeps.
Aww, we missed you too! I would love to hear about all the scalp stuff. For the first time in my life, I'm really struggling with a dry, tight, slightly painful scalp. Also, innersense products are great! I haven't tried what they sent you but the shampoos, conditioners and styling products are great. My styist only uses those, Cult and King - which aesthetically can't be beat and Hairstory.
Would love to see a Ciele reaction, they also have a powder and I feel if there’s a shade for you that would also be really nice. For everything else I wouldn’t mind the reviews trickling in with other videos or you just having a non beauty product video in which you share favorites of the new things you’ve tried and rounding up already staples.
Somehow your channel fell away from my recommend page this year, which is so odd since I’ve been a dedicated viewer for several years. I’m all caught up (wow! Congratulations) and I’m glad you’re back!
My husband uses the l'occitane immortelle reset serum that you showed. He loves it. It makes his skin is so smooth and it glows! I’m looking forward to trying it once I’ve used up my other similar products. It’s a best seller and I would definitely recommend trying it. Congrats on the arrival of your baby too 😃❤
💜 loving having you back, and i’ll take the opportunity to thank you for the video a while ago testing grey make up from yesstyle! i bought that green beige concealer from the Saem and OMG it is perfect for me?! only wished it came in a bigger size. so a belated thank you ☺️💜
I'm just going to leave this here: ua-cam.com/video/FPr-ySz-kVI/v-deo.htmlsi=od3czRANplSTvmnW&t=182
Love home movies 😭
HOME MOVIES! 🥹
What a hoot!
this is hyterical. i love you for it.
Omg this made me laugh so hard.
"Is there any left?"... "In the world?"
Your eye makeup is stunning and not too much.
How do you not have 5 bazillion subscribers? Level-headed, descriptive, funny, inviting…you are quickly becoming my favorite channel!
So delightful to have you back, Hannah. I hope your return to work brings balance and happiness to you! So grateful for your thoughtful content.
HLP picking up a flathead screwdriver whilst "oh here's some sort of tool" is going to live in my brain FOR. EVER.
I cackled! New quote unlocked.
I'm surprised that Joe didn't just film his own B roll, unboxing the pans, so that he could use them. Lol
now that you've said this I feel like I missed out on some excellent entertainment.
I was going to say that too!
Omg! Hahahah, I live. That is so funny
We might be in totally different worlds and careers, but the feeling of “what the F am I doing?” upon returning from maternity leave is apparently universal. 😂 I recognise the feeling very well.
Welcome back! You’re looking extremely beautiful and well, especially considering how I expect you probably feel. ❤
It’s brilliant how brands recognize how unique and impactful HLP is to this community and send her PR.
I went down the “bad wig, fell down the stairs, at the beach” line of thought with you when you were talking about the Jones Road scent 😂 glad you’re back Hannah!
Also your drowsy vagueness when swatching the MOB pallet made me laugh out loud-
I felt that little prose illustration IN MY INNERMOST SOUL.
This is an unboxing that happens at my speed. I’m always getting excited about things months after they’ve had their “moment”.
Holy shit?! Ingrid Nilsen PR!!!! Ingrid was the first beauty UA-camr I followed and regularly watched back in 2012. It is so delightful to see the worlds of beauty youtubers of my past and present collide!
She was my favourite for so many years! I love seeing her and her business thriving
The warmest of welcomes back, lovely Hannah - we've missed you 🧡🍂
So happy to see you, please take it gently. It’s such a difficult world time, focus on ease. So glad you and yours are well.❤
thank you thank you for acknowledging how bad things are. it is really hard to see what is going on (we have family in certain areas - I don't want to politicize the comments) - but it has been hard.
Thank you, HLP ❤
Loved watching your maternity leave content, and loving having you back.
Hope you 3 are all doing well and staying healthy. Please take extra good care of yourself 🤗
Fellow shower face washer here 🙋🏻♀️ the way I look at it is there are far worse things I could be doing with my body-if washing my face in the shower is the “baddest thing” I’m doing, I’m doing pretty dang good 😏
I also wash my face in the shower but what’s “bad” about it?? 😬😬😬
Yes this is the first I've heard about not washing your face in the shower. I'm curious why they say not to?
I’m here for any and all fashion content! It’s my favorite! I’ve watched all the videos on the fashion playlist more times than I care to admit
Same here in no plans to have children, but I am losing weight and my clothes don't fit right anymore. I appreciate any and all advice.
Also thirding a request for more fashion content!!
The L'Occitane, MOB, and Tower 28 interest me the most. They just released that Make Waves mascara in brown if you end up liking the formula.
Cloud Gazer is one of my favorite candles of all time! It’s essentially a London Fog tea latte in a candle
Unorganized Hannah is so much fun to watch 😄 Delighted to have you back!
The twilight zone of coming back from maternity leave… it’s real and so relatable. Welcome back ❤
I swear I do the same thing of setting out to do minimal makeup after a stint of not wearing it to then feeling my oats too much and ending up full glam eyes 😅 also when you were gone I came to the conclusion that I am also a desaturated olive undertone, so your old videos on that have been immensely helpful!
Can we request a 'favourite brushes and their possibilities of use' video? I'd love to see a bit of tool plus product action!
I’ve used the L’Occitane face oil, and I loved it. My skin isn’t particularly dry, but I didn’t find it to be too heavy or rich.
I’ve used l’Occitane immortale formula and some other products from them. The oil serum is excellent for winter dryness for me. You have everyday dryness. I’m sure you’ll like it. The shae butter hand lotion and the body butter are excellent. Great to see you slipping back on line again.

Savoring all the new goodies you share - but, as always, the scuttlebutt was the best.
Wonderful to have you back, mama! And right at the start of knitwear season!💜

I would really love a Gen See video, very curious about the brand but haven't tried anything yet.
This was a lovely cosy video! Welcome back :)
Ursa Major is amazing! I'd have to say, though, that mountain glow is something I've sampled from them that I didn't really like. It leaves an oily film over the face that lasts at least an hour or two. It somehow didn't break me out.

You look beautiful! The makeup colors are perfection. Your hair is thick and healthy. You're glowing!
We missed you! Happy to see you back in the saddle!
Hannah, we are heartbroken but I’m glad I have your videos to lift my heart, even a little 💕💕
So grateful for your presence again in this time 💜
Shelbey Wilson is a UA-camr who highly recommends that Ursa Major serum. I bought it but haven’t tried it yet. She has very sensitive skin, so if she loves it, it is probably not pore clogging. Hope that helps!
I would love to see you use the mob beauty products!

The eye cream (gold bottle) I could take or leave, but the serum was like liquid happiness for my face ❤
I’ve missed you, Hannah. Your realness is touching and refreshing. Thank you.
I’m just a happy little clam that you’re back with us ❤
Welcome back, again! Definitely take your time getting back into the swing of things...I mean, gathering up the reins and getting back on the horse! There's plenty of grace to go around.
Ha! Scuttlebutt has become frequently used and even a soundboard clip on Race Chaser, Alaska and Willam’s podcast! Of course you would be aligned 🙌
So happy you are back with detailed rambling and all the scuttlebutt. Please review MOB!
Having now watched the video, I can say I’m most interested in the scalp treatment review (once you have time to properly engage with all of them of course) and potentially a gen see eye product overview? Would definitely like to see a review of the ciele products. Plus the new Surratt eye soufflé thingys.
YES I love the calm and cozy vibes. Absolutely ecstatic to have you back, I hope your maternity leave was relaxing and fulfilling!
so glad you're back, would love to see a gensee brand review!
That cookware unboxing tho. 😍 Would love to see more!
Lovely video, first one i've seen in the now (discovered you a few weeks back!!!). Came for the fashion content but staying for your vibe!! Love it all.

Also interested in "clean beauty" and non-allergenic products.
Challenges include dry eye syndrome, eczema and just being 66.
Good luck and best wishes to you in your new year.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Would LOVE a follow-up on: Indie Lee cleanser, MOB Beauty, scuttlebutt, and the Ciele serum foundation. Thanks, Hannah!
I must know what your eyeshadow is here!!! It's stunning!!!
this video was absolutely delightful. We missed you! You look beautiful btw!

your hair is AMAZING
Oh that Indie Lee Cleanser is GREAT!
I actually love the Immortale Reset serum. It makes my forehead look so smooth and helps fine looks look less...line-y?
My husband and I say a random "It's a big step Perry!" from Home
Movies when we're making decisions. There are echoes of every parent returning to work from the baby bubble in this video and you did it so eloquently and radiantly as always. ❤ You are integrating different selves which takes time. This time last year I was undecided whether to try it properly (adding it to my Black Friday order) and ultimately decided was not worth the cost. However (full disclosure) I am yet to find any serum that agrees with my skin.
I actually use an olive/ laburnum oil soap from Aleppo (thanks to your mum’s recommendation about soap!) and rose water in a spritzer bottle as toner and am having a pretty great time with my skin 😊
L’Occitane products I do love are the Lavender bubble bath (it’s expensive, but I measure out two tablespoons into my bath.
No pressure, take all the time you need Hannah, but I’m also looking forward to a Patreon update. ❤
Welcome back! And I'd absolutely love to see you review the Ciele and Bobbi Brown (powder) products
I’m so glad you’re back, Hannah!!!! ❤
Welcome back! 🎉
But please review MOB beauty. I’m so intrigued. 😗
You look so beautiful 😭 The baby weight/glow is doing some magic
Tati loves that yellow brightening powder!!!
Welcome back!! It's so good to see you again. I actually would like to see a favorite brushes video with a demo of how you use them. I know what brands you prefer, but I get overwhelmed by the options when trying to shop for some myself.
I need to hear back about the Caraway pots and pans please!
I really wanna know about that palette! It seems like it could be super multitasking and a one and done type of thing!
Oh I would love to see you review the Ciele 😊 I love that bag too
I’m interested to see if you enjoy the Indie Lee cleanser, there’s something about their toner that I absolutely love
I’ve seen a few UA-camrs review the Ciele skin tint and they have all loved it a lot. Same with the Tower 28 mascara.
I really enjoyed watching you unpack all the boxes. BK Beauty and Rephr are my two favorite and most repurchased brush brands. I refuse to purchase anymore low quality brushes.
I fucking love you. I'm so glad you're back. You crack me up. Like genuine belly laughs several times. Welcome back!!
Welcome back Hannah. You look fabulous. Congratulations to you and Joe on the new addition to your family. You and Joe are going to be sleep deprived for the next few months, so try to nap when the baby sleeps.
I am most interested in the Le Prunier Body butter/balm, and your thoughts on the MOB sparkle balms on the eyes!!
I have that Angie Hot and Flashy travel set and her larger set. LOVE them both.
Hi! Im interested in the prunier products, the MOB eye pallet, the Tower 28 mascara, and the scalp products. It’s nice to have you back!
“So I can show the people!” 😂😂😂 missed you so much Hannah. 💗
My husband uses the l'occitane immortelle reset serum that you showed. He loves it. It makes his skin is so smooth and it glows!
I’m looking forward to trying it once I’ve used up my other similar products.
It’s a best seller and I would definitely recommend trying it.
Congrats on the arrival of your baby too 😃❤
So glad you are back! You look beautiful!
That indie lee cleanser is my holy grail
You are a delight - so happy to have you back!
💜 loving having you back, and i’ll take the opportunity to thank you for the video a while ago testing grey make up from yesstyle! i bought that green beige concealer from the Saem and OMG it is perfect for me?! only wished it came in a bigger size. so a belated thank you ☺️💜
