Jack: "Was today's word exception?" Eric: "No, today's word was pertinent, but I didn't think that was... having anything to do with situation." Idk why I get a good chuckle out of this. I love Eric! Especially his and Jack's bromance :D
This Eric and the earlier seasons was the best Eric. He had his blonde moments and was a little ditzy like in this clip but he wasn't quite to the extreme caricature Eric of seasons 6 and 7. I liked that one too but the writers did a bit too much. Anyway, Eric is adorable. "I hate this!" D'aww.
Honestly, I don't even think season 6 Eric was too much at all! He did start getting a little more over the top that season, but still within the understandable range of Eric silliness, and there were also a lot of moments where you really saw how much the other characters underestimated his intuitiveness (i.e. how he read Stuart for the creep he was right off the bat, and how Rachel and Jack assumed he didn't get that they wanted to be together because he was being silly about it, but in fact he had always known exactly what was going on.) And of course, one of the best Eric story arcs of all was in season 6 with Tommy. It really wasn't until season 7 that they just went way too far with him. I totally get that Will had tons of fun with it, and it's not that the hijinks weren't entertaining in the way a cartoon would be entertaining, but season 7 Eric just bothers me because it backtracks on SO much amazing character development that had happened with him throughout seasons 3-6! He was still ultimately the lovable goofball with a heart of gold, but in the previous seasons you really could see how steadily smart and thoughtful and deceivingly mature he was underneath the silly and fun loving demeanor (and not just in the "random flashes of genius wisdom that had nothing to do with him actually *being* wise" that they made it out to be in season 7 and in Girl Meets World). In season 7, they basically just said to hell with Eric's actual character and made him a caricature instead. But yes, in any case Eric was such a cutie and Will Friedle has always had THE most brilliant comedic timing :D
Stephanie L i totally agree with you because in the beinging of the seasons eric was normal and mature and now in seasons 6-7 he is just crazy and over the top and doing too much but anyways you have the best comment ever
I think the producers were trying to model Eric after Joey from the sitcom Friends. I heard somewhere that that was also why they brought in Turner, because they were influenced by Friends to bring in more adult-like characters into the show.
Feeny: What? Jack: Hi. He says hi. Feeny: I know what he says. Does he know what he said? Jack: You’re a good teacher Mr. Feeny. Feeny: Well when you live next door to a house full of psychos. Hahahahaha.
Watched this too many times and I just realized one of the jokes was that Eric should’ve said “But I didn’t think that was PERTINENT to the situation” 😂😂
Honestly the funniest part of the video to me is when feaney says "yeah well when you live next door to a house full of psychos" it always makes me laugh
Nahhh for me no one could ever beat Cory and Shawn- Eric and Jack were good buddies, but Cory and Shawn are platonic soul mates! But yeah, Eric and Jack were definitely a lot of fun to watch :P They played off each other really well!
Eric's actually really smart, he just doesn't give a crap really to be apart of all the drama around him.
*a part
"Apart" means separate.
Make sense why he gets dumber as seasons go by the dumber he acts the less people involve him in their drama...haha
OneWeirdDude son of a bitch, did you just correct someone’s vocabulary choice in a video that jokes about expanding a person’s vocabulary?
Jack: "Was today's word exception?"
Eric: "No, today's word was pertinent, but I didn't think that was... having anything to do with situation."
Idk why I get a good chuckle out of this. I love Eric! Especially his and Jack's bromance :D
"By the show of hands how many people are tired of Eric." The best part being Eric himself raises his hand for what reason. It's so funny!!
He raised his hand because he's an idiot
@@djdrago9712 We know. But we still love Eric. I mean he gets even dumber as the series progresses too.
IT’S UBIQUITOUS!
He is actually an idiot genius -- THANK YOU
"No, today's word was pertinent. But I didn't think that was... having anything to do with the situation." lmao
Topanga’s face.
Hahahahaha.
Well, thank you, Mr. Feeny. I'm certain my erudite loquaciousness will be most advantageous, particularly as regards to intellectual discourse.
Feeny: I can see where this is gonna get old quick.
Jack: Can you?
Now I want to get a word of the day calendar just to annoy people.

3:34 It's the small details that I appreciate, like seeing Will's reflection in the window as he runs off.
When you live next door to a house full of psychos... 😂😂😂

Feeny: I know what he says. Does he know what he said?
Jack: You’re a good teacher Mr. Feeny.
Feeny: Well when you live next door to a house full of psychos.
Hahahahaha.
I use all these words when teaching students. They think I'm so smart!

"When you live next door to a house full of phsycos"
"Residual! To leave over!" lol I was cracking up, that part was so cute
Like how Eric also raises his hand when people ask who's sick of Eric!
Watched this too many times and I just realized one of the jokes was that Eric should’ve said “But I didn’t think that was PERTINENT to the situation” 😂😂
"When you live next door to a houseful of psychos!" I love the shrug they share at the end lol!
"Estranged...heeeeyyy!!" LOL!!! This cracks me up haha!!!
I still use that heyy sometimes
The pertinent part kills me lmao
The look on shawns and jacks face when he used a big word
Jack and Eric are such good friends! 🤣🤣🤣
How they all kept a straight face is beyond me. I wonder how many takes these scenes had before the final one?

Jack is so adorable
Yeah but than he turned into a jerk in the last season.
Matt Lawrence is SO cute. Rider is better tho in my opinion. But I love them both. ERIC TOO!
0:57 Should be a meme. :)
I just realised hes the voice actor of Ron Stoppable lol
Honestly the funniest part of the video to me is when feaney says "yeah well when you live next door to a house full of psychos" it always makes me laugh
I actually loved jack and eric more than Corey and shawn. They're scenes were just more funny
Nahhh for me no one could ever beat Cory and Shawn- Eric and Jack were good buddies, but Cory and Shawn are platonic soul mates! But yeah, Eric and Jack were definitely a lot of fun to watch :P They played off each other really well!
jack and eric were less gay.
I wish I had a friend like eric
Me too, he and I are so much alike, we'd get along, even though I'm a Hufflepuff and he's a Slytherin, lol.
0:27!!!! HAHAHAHA the looks on their faces!!!
I love this show and Eric is the man. At 1:16, didn't it sound like he said alright get in the shit? lol
Love Eric and Jack ♡♥♡♥
Tooshies for Sale!!!!
I like how they go to college at Pembrooke in NC, but then in the next scene, they are in PA
This is my favorite moment of the whole series.
To have a friend like shawn 😭
What’s funny is that Jack tells Cory he has no idea what it’s like to live there when Eric and Cory shared a room for most of their lives! 😂
i love jack and feeny's expressions @ 3:15

Feeny really is the best teacher
jack either said shit or shed
He said, “All right, get in the shed.”
Everyone else raises their hand when asked who is tired of Eric, I would be the one who doesn't raise her hand, therefore I'm the exception! Lol 😆 🤣
1:56 - that's it, buddy, you're off the island...
I wonder if Matthew's reaction to "Tooshies for sale" is part of the script or he actually broke character hut continued ?
LMAO at the http reference..
My girlfriend can be an Eric sometimes. She's smart. But sometimes her brain gets cloudy and she says or does something that I want to face palm at.
I still can't hear the word "estranged" without thinking of this scene
love Jack

Well, I think she kissed Cory first before that.
Tushies for sale cool
I had a word a day calender, it's not to far off.
Of course when Eric is looking to enhance his intelligence, everyone around discourages him. That always peed me off 😠
