    Thanks this is the Best explanation on the differences. Others seem to be flat out wrong or confused but that’s OK. They both taste good.

    Nice video but here in Italy, were gelato is born, the difference from ice cream and gelato did not exist. The real difference Is between industrial an artisanal ice cream/ gelato.
    And you can feel this difference only if you taste the original artisanal
    italian gelato.
    Ciao ciao from Italy

    Thanks. It's really helpful information. I have question. What makes Gelato sticky? because i tried in many Gelato stores. There are different in the sticky which i personally prefer more sticky. Good example is Venchi brand. Now i live in Thailand. i Still couldn't find the like that yet. Thanks

    • @jackygan

      The sticky part of gelato is more towards type of sugar use in particular glucose syrup. The type of stabilizer (plant base) also play a role.

    fascinating side not for me, totally off topic… very interesting accent! Did not know that what the Singapore accent sounds like. Was going to guess Australian but as if you had been in America for a really long time and lost some of the Australian. But Singapore ohhh ok I can see it! Almost like a combination of British accent and Australian accent together. Ok well that was totally off topic but I really enjoy listening to all the different accents from around the world.

    Gelato is like regular yoghurt and ice cream is sweetened yoghurt.

    • @nozrep
      @nozrep Рік тому +1

      nope. Sorry, neither qualifies as yogurt. Yogurt is a fermented milk product. Neither ice cream nor gelato is fermented. That is why manufacturers make a clear and specific and intentional distinction between “frozen yogurt” and ice cream. The more you know!😅

    She is doing wrong pronunciation.. In Italian language we do pronounce each letter it should be Gelato with T not R.. Not Gelaro.. GELATO!

    • @MrPeterMerkin
      @MrPeterMerkin 2 роки тому +7

      She's British the T is very quick. Not drawn out like an Italian. Accents affect words.

      @@MrPeterMerkin I think the original person was making a potentially racist joke since the person speaking looks asian... and how some asians have the L and R sounds mixed up when speaking english if english is not their first language. I can clearly hear her pronouncing the T in Gelato, at least nothing remotely approaching an R sound... and plus her accent sounds more australian than British.
