    This is only video where sleep data before the purchase is compared with data after. This is far better than what everyone else is doing. Thank you.

    Thanks Steve, great video. One thing I haven’t seen in any review yet, can you use your own fitted sheet set and bedding and if so, does it impact the systems ability? Seems like you can’t because of the water hose.

    I really enjoyed your in-depth review of the 8sleep system, particularly how you examined its potential health benefits through both its own sensors and external devices. This was a unique approach that I found very insightful.
    However, the high price point of the 8sleep makes it inaccessible for many of us, which is why I'd like to suggest that you consider reviewing the Bed Jet 3. It's a more affordable alternative that, while being fundamentally different, also offers heating and cooling features that could potentially provide comparable health benefits.
    What makes me more curious about Bed Jet 3 is that I haven't found a comprehensive review that explores its impact on health. Most reviews simply talk about how it enhances sleep, which is great, but doesn't offer a complete picture. It would be extremely valuable to see a review done in your unique style, with a focus on sleep quality and overall health benefits, just as you did with the 8sleep. Your perspective could help many of us make a more informed decision. Thank you for considering this suggestion!

    Hi Steve!
    Thanks for the review, it was great! I am very interested in it, thinking of buying the pod 3 cover: Still checking some other options. This might sound like a “silly” question, but is the cover “Delicate”? I mean, if there is “rough action” on it, wouldn’t damage the cover, mechanism or grid that is used to run the distilled water?
    Thanks for your answer! And once again, thanks for the review!

    Thank you for you video. After seeing your video and seeing that you are a light sleeper we decided to buy the pod and have had it a week. The only problem is that it is making a lot of noise during the night when you wake up. The machine was making lots of high pitch noise and sounded like the air conditioning was on, you could hear the water going into the bed as well. We followed the instructions that Eight Sleep give to reset the system and it is better but still not as quiet as everyone says. Have you had that problem? We are going to call the company and see if they can make it better if we can get hold of someone. Our experience with customer service has not been great so far.

    • @SteveJulien
      @SteveJulien  9 місяців тому +1

      Sorry to hear about the noise!
      They should be able to enable quiet mode remotely or run a daily priming cycle.
      Mine was noisy and this fixed it.
      More like a background ‘white noise’ now.
      Hope that helps.

    Hey Steve, we have a Sleep Number which has an air pump at the bottom of the mattress. Does the 8 sleep cover enwrap around the entire mattress or is it more like a fitted sheet and only enwraps the top and edges of the mattress?

    • @SteveJulien
      @SteveJulien  7 місяців тому

      Hi!
      The one is this video encases the mattresses, however they have just updated it for better comfort and it’s more like a fitted sheet.

    Why would people pay people buy a subscription to buy a product. This if keeping me from the purchase. There is no option for subscription opt out.

    • @SteveJulien
      @SteveJulien  8 місяців тому +1

      The subscription is mandatory for year one then it’s up to you if you renew it.

    • @webada
      @webada 5 місяців тому

      @SteveJulien still doesn’t explain why a subscription is mandatory. I’ve posted in other reviews stating the same thing: Garmin does it for free, storing run stats for watch owners. Eight Sleep can also allow Bluetooth connection and store the data locally. Our phone is powerful enough to run any algorithms and calculations needed to recommend profiles. This isn’t hard. They just chose to be greedy, thinking anyone who pays for ~$2k product won’t sweat $15/$25 per month. I will be looking at BedJet instead.

    Yo Steve I do not wanna be a dick, but I think your bedding situation is not ideal for 2 people. Biggest improvement for us was getting a bed with two separate mattresses adjusted for our individual needs. So in total the bed is 200x180 cm (its a EU size) but this is the smallest I would get honestly. Extra space and separation of slatted frame and mattresses so we do not feel the movement of the other one too much and enough space so we do not accidentally hit each other. Since the frame is squishing the mattresses together the gab does not really bother us since there is enough space to cuddle and such on each individual side. If I ever get a new bed I will most likely get a king size ( 200x200) which is super nice if you have small kids that like to come visit when they have nightmares^^. There are also single mattresses that have internal separation if you want no gap at all. Pod 3 was not really working out too good here since we do not need ac (Denmark) and our houses are so good insulated that the pod raises the room temperature ^^ which can suck if it we get the occasional (now more common) warm summer.
    Cheers
