I’ve been looking for this concert for like 10 years!!! I was in the front row!!! I knew they filmed it….cameras were everywhere! Thanks for posting!!
You were lucky to have been so close. Thanks for watching and commenting
I was there too! Great show. Classic Coliseum
They should have opened with Army Ants. Absolutely belting way to start a show.
Was there ..had obstructed view...saw Scott a few times dancing....But mostly his shadow dancing..Was great.
Yes! I was there with a group of friends! Scott was skating on the upper level of the coliseum and we got a wave! I remember the ecstatic energy of the crowd, very enthusiastic. Too dark to roll one. Set was very short, no encore. This footage corroborates the lighting and ambiance being very cool. I bought a purple shirt.
Thanks for watching and commenting Tyler, you were lucky to have been there.
Short set ? they played 17 songs
Holy Shit! My FIRST CONCERT! I never thought to look on YT for this! Meat Puppets opened! Thank you for posting!
You were lucky to have been there, a great first gig, thanks for watching and commenting.🎸😎
I was at this show, still have my ticket stub!!
Holy f@%$ing shit!! I can't believe this is on Ytube!
I was at this show with my brother & a friend & STP & the Puppets were tremendous!
Thank you for posting!
Thanks for watching and commenting. You were lucky to have been there 🙂
I was at this show one of my favorite concerts of the 90s
You lucky fella
Me too buddy! Tremendous night at the old New Haven Coliseum! I'm so glad I found this.
Same!!
This makes for an excellent companion piece to the proper audio recordings on the newer SuperMassive edition of Purple that just came out. Thank you so much for sharing. I hope it gets to stay up so other people can enjoy it too
I'm glad you enjoyed it, but your one of the few who watched🙂
@@ScottishTeeVee~ Their Loss.
I would give my soul to see this in high-definition.
Well.. Funny you mention it, I had looked into buying equipment to upscale the videos to 4k, but its a very long slow process
@@ScottishTeeVee that creepy magical Faustian shit only happens in rock and roll. I love it🤟
@@ScottishTeeVee~ I Sincerely Thank You, Dear One!!
I miss the New Haven Coliseum. Saw a lot of shows there as a young kid. Now they just have Toad's Place and College Street Music Hall. Going to see Modest Mouse there next week for the first time, we'll see if it's a good venue.
New haven nighthawks...monster trucks..Many concerts,..loved that place.Disney on ice...many time there...Too many at toads
Scott sounds incredible. Wish I’d seen him in his prime here. ❤❤
Dear @HamSamster ~ In. His. Prime.
Heck yeah what a great find!
Just listened to this concert on the deluxe edition of Purple. It's cool to see that they toured in my backyard. Shame I couldn't see it live, but at least I can watch it now. Thanks for uploading.
Thanks for watching and commenting R, glad you enjoyed this video.🙂
Thanks for this! Someone who was at their show somewhere else was telling me about the couch & lamps part & I was looking for a video with it.
Thank you for sharing 🤘🖤
Thanks for watching and commenting Jason, glad you enjoyed this
Thanks for posting this! This concert was a birthday present from my best friend and a great memory. What struck me (back then) as so odd about this concert was that there was no encore. I remember they ended with Sex Type Thing and that was it. Moments later the lights came up and we were standing there looking at one another thinking, "Wait...that's it?" lol
All in all, a good show, but also a very well rehearsed show with no genuine interaction from the band. They simply "played" a gig and that was it.
You were lucky to have attended this concert. Shame about the encore and lack of audience interaction, but still good memories.
@leth2753 ~ I Will Bet You They Felt They Gave It ALL They Had, Dear. Although ~ I Would Have Been As Confused As You Were ~ Absolutely.
I would love to see all of these 90's shows remastered. Still the same, I still love seeing them though.
Thanks for watching and commenting Jeff
It was August 23rd. I was at this show. I do miss that building, saw so many bands there.
I know. I stated the date on screen at 1:45 and in the information box below the video
I was so lucky to be at this show. OMG Thanks for posting. I was a waiter at Foxwoods Casino and one of the other waiters had a cancellation and invited me last minute. Great show.
I’ve always remembered them opening with Vaseline Fantastic memory. Thanks again for posting
