Thanks for all the videos this year! I always look forward to them! I would go for the "Asarnil the Dragonlord" model from the Dogs of War range. When I was into Warhammer during the 6th edition era my local hobby shop had one box all dusty and sun-bleached. It was such an intimidating model that I kept passing it up, and then one day it was gone...
Great video. I remember buying that Hunting Party box as the basis for expanding the forces I got in the 5th ed box. Also loved seeing those old witch elf sculpts...still kicking myself for selling those. Thanks and happy holiday sir.
6:30 That is actually the second generation of Imperial Guard Sentinel. The original had a rounded egg shaped body and multi-piece legs that could be posed.
Yeah, now that people have mentioned the egg, I do recall seeing it, or at least the illustrations. But obviously the info didn’t stick in the old grey matter!
@@walt_man I mean the latest plastic kit. It can be assembled in multiple ways. Several weapon options and also with or without armored crew compartment.
Not to be a killjoy. But that Imperial Guard Sentinel was not the first Sentinel. The egg on legs was the first Sentinel. It was definitely a Rogue Trader era model. I wish i could post a pic. Still, its a great wish list. ❤👍
Hmmm. Now that you mention that, I can visualize the illustration from one of the early Imperial Guard articles, though I don't think I've seen the actual model. I'll have to look that up.
@@oldhammered Yeah, I was going to mention the same thing as ironbomb. If you have the old RT era 40k Compendium (Red book) there is an illustration of one in there (pg 162). Model looks the same as the illustration. Even better, according to the army list you could take up to 12 sentinels in your army for some multi-laser spam.
Oh dang, the Long Drong Pirate Slayers were available that far back. I have a whole regiment of 20 of them unpainted just sitting around. I can't make up my mind on painting or passing them on to someone who'll love them more.
Always enjoy your videos, you're the best Oldhammer out there. Keep up the great work. Seasons greetings to you guys and all the very best for the new year ahead. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Great video as always looking back into the past. I recently found one of those metal volley guns, it sure is weighty! I turned it into a cannon for Turnip28.
Not my favorite era of GW figures, everything seemed to be on steroids. I'd probably fill the list off of the Bretonnian, Dogs of War, and Imperial Guard pages.

I don’t want minis, I want 50 bottles of that delicious brown ink.

I have one NIB! I think I'll just display it and find another one if i want to use one on the table.
@@walt_man I have tons of nostalgic love for the original Sentinel. But the modern plastic version is better in every other way.
@@GoatTheGoat Oh yes. And by the modern version, which one? XD There's 3 now.

thank you so much helping me to remember my childhood!

You forgot to add the item codes to the list. This will not end well...
I remember that one. I’ll have to go through my old mags some day.

Travel back in time. Don't buy a sport almanach. Don't buy apple stocks. Just gets in a GW store and buys EVERYTHING.
A amazing job and a amazing video.
Oh man, this is such a cool idea, I'd love to do a 2001-6 wishlist for myself 😎🤙
I'd take a unit of those stunning Aly Morrison armoured skeletons as I only have 3 for now plus any unit from the Dogs of War range.
If you get the Eldar stuff, it will still be the current models!
