As Sam said I have broken my shoulder in 2 places and decided to watch the podcast this evening with Sam to cheer me up (as I’ve had a bad day). Pilonidal sinus is no joke. It's usually nothing whatsoever to do with cleanliness or lack there of, usually it's a trapped or ingrowing hair. I had one that I ignored for years which ended up with me in A&E in excruciating pain. Followed by a general anesthetic operation and 9 weeks off to recuperate. Get it properly looked into and sorted early Rory, you'll thank me for it later.
I put this on in the car with my grandparents for some gentle listening on the long drive to Cornwall. Thanks lads for the first 10 mins particularly

I think that penalties should be levied against pedestrians who do not use crossings and cause potential hazards stepping out onto a road. It is about raising money by punishing the motorist.

ive had that cyst and its no joke I thought it would just die down left it a week and ended up in emergency surgery off work for a month with a nurse everyday having to clean it out so a month of no sitting or lying on my back .Its the most uncomfy I have ever been . 15 ml they took out of it with is apparently a lot

Rory in all seriousness get yourself checked out for chrohns disease, what you experienced I had and after many months of discomfort and pain I was diagnosed with Chrohns. Trust me I can see the funny side now but chrohns is serious so get down and get the tests Rory. Hope you feel better soon.

Yep I had similar symptoms before I really went down hill and was diagnosed! Probably also why the MRI is required.
This episode was my fiancé's introduction to the podcast ffs 😂. We listened to it together in the car on Saturday on the road trip back from taking a family member to collect his new 997 and safe to say I was nervous what she'd think as the bum chat started but she found the whole episode hilarious and now here we are watching it together and she's a fan 🤣🤣🤣

Between the 3 of you you have enough vehicles to test the stopping distance and see how much shorter the stopping distance is now compared to 30 years ago
There are so many variables that come into stopping distance, reaction times, break wear, tyre wear, break fluid even.

It’d still be a good test modern tyres and brakes are light years ahead never mind modern abs / brake force distribution etc and it’ll still be interesting not as if the law is going to change cos they do a test😅
It's not a penal cyst it's a pilonidal cyst and those things can be pretty nasty.

I think that he just got his words confused. I believe that the pilonidal cyst is between your spine and anus, whereas a perianal cyst is either on your butt cheek or gooch area and rather than being caused by an ingrowing hair its caused by a tare or lesion in the rectum... mine went down my leg and looked like a sausage, absolutely horrific 😢

I love how out of order the podcasts are with the main V2 and main channels. Last two episode they referenced a video coming out that has already been released. That said it good to have the podcast back again and there was no need for the apologies.
Oh boy, you really don’t want to see the statistics on the 20mph speed limits. In short: if you hit a person at 20 he lives and at 30 he dies. There is about 90% less chance at death or live changing injuries.
I’m all about driving fast and I speed all the time, but don’t drive fast were people live and walk. You might be the next pedestrian that lives because someone drove 20 and not 30.

I had to do a speed awareness course a few years ago and the guy suggested running a lower gear to force you to do lower speeds in 20/30's and I pointed out that increases revs so increases wear/tear + petrol usage and he said "no it doesn't" - I didn't agree with the course from that point on. This was at the peak petrol prices too.
It's the same lie the Welsh senedd tries to sell us with the 20 mph nonsense. I was taught to drive you go up through the gears until you reach 4th at 30 mph as high gear and low speed equals better miles per gallon!
"ackshually" running a lower gear might be better for the engine: higher oil pressure, faster water pump speed, less vibrations for bearings in gearbox. High RPMs doesn't necessarily mean higher consumption, that's was throttle position and fuel injector and spark timing is responsible for. Yes going 6k rpm is absurd, but going 3,5k instead of 2,5k should be easier on the engine. Also engine breaking is much stronger at lower gears.
I swear to God I had a similar experience as Hamster 2.0. It's nasty to admit but I just had a similar experience. Difference is it hurt so much I had to pop it myself in the shower. It's just as nasty as you imagine and generally Im pretty damn hygienic. I think it's a fat bois problem, sitting down for too long plus having a bad stomach. The one fact that stood out from my speed awareness course was if you hit someone at 40mph there is an 80% chance you will kill them. This drops to 50% at 35mph and 20% at 30mph.
Bottom line - don’t speed in 30 zones.

Wow I didn't know you have to go to speed awareness corse for doing 84 on the motorway in England. Here in Hungary I think you have to go 110+ and they don't even fine you until you go above 95. (Correct me if I'm worng)

Rory you have my sympathy.... I had a Pilonidal Cyst for a few years. I can confirm they are very painful especially when there infected. They are caused by an ingrowing hair. Eventually had mine removed.
