It's a great hand pump. I've had mine for 2 years. Have not had one issue with it. . Believe me it gets used. Great Backup Tool. Not cheap but worth it. Stay blessed Shoot straight from New Mexico. 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸✌
Hey, when you plug the probe into your gun and begin pumping.. Do you hear air blow out from where the probe is plugged in. Or is it silent, with ALL the air going into the gun..? It's also not building pressure up on my pump, so I'm assuming something MUST be wrong. However there's really no way to plug this probe in incorrectly..
Hi j b. The aselkon connector dont fit the hose on the mk5 pump so it Will not make pressure. I bought a New connector that fits the hose. Correctly now it makes pressure. The diana stormrider connector fits also the aselkon mx5.
@@jrgenrasmussen8840 Oh ok I see, just figured I'd ask... That's what's up though, I bought as much as I could in advance. Cause it's always annoying getting everything, an then needing some stupid little 20$ piece like a fill probe etc. Luckily mine came in the box with the gun, an just threaded on to the 1/8th fitting on the pump. Just barely went to assemble and use the pump the other night, an it was pumping air out the sides of what I thought was where the probe plugged in. But it was actually coming out the sides of the fitting, where it rotates just below the threading where the probe connects. So was flipping out lol, thinking that there was an issue with the gun at first which would majorly suck. An then thinking that it may just be an issue with the hose and the end fitting on the hose, that came with the pump. Which would still be annoying, but I'm sure they'd send a replacement, would just have to wait for it. Ended just being a matter of tightening the probe on more, which I originally had. But apparently needed to crank it extra tight with a wrench to really secure it on. Didn't want to strip the threading or get it stuck, but hey long as it works. I can always buy a new hose and probe piece later if I need to, an can't get it out. For now it's good, so I'm good lol.
Great review ! I thought of buying Hill pump MK4 by the end of this month (January'20).. I'm very excited when i came to know about Hill pump MK4 from your great review..Its worth watching your review..
Great pump,I have had mine for four years and fill an Airforce Condor tank and it well made and very reliable as long as you keep the pump lubed with silicon grease and do not overheat the pump quality only hurts once.
My new hill pump mk4 suffers leakage problem between the end of the hose and the fill adapter when the pressure reach 100 bars. Also when i tried bleeding the pump after i reached the required fill level, all the air from the gun cylinder also leak out together from the bleed knob till its emptied. What may be reason for this?
Just recently bought this pump from you guys and your shop in phoenix. Seems like a good pump and everything, what I'm trying to figure out though. It's first off, when he demonstrates the pumping in this video. An pumps without it being attached to anything, the pump itself still build pressure. When I try this, air comes out the end price, an no pressure is built on the pump. But the other thing is in airing up the rifle itself. I have correct probe attached etc. However when I begin pumping, even though it appears as though the bar pressure on the rifle had gone up, I can hear air blow out from where the probe plugs into the rifle. Everytime I pump it, an the pump itself STILL build no pressure. Although it did bleed out excess air when I loosen the bleeder screw ? Is ALL the air suppose to be going into the gun or is it normal to hear some air coming out.. only while I pump, it's not like it's leaking any air after.
Where the filter is located is it filtering the air before going into the cylinder of the pump or the air that is going out into the gun ? There are pumps that filter the air as it goes in and comes out . From what I have read the pumps that put a filter for the air going in to the pump last a lot longer because they don't let moisture into the pump area and all the internal parts say nice and dry . The good pumps also have another filter on the out going side of the pump and a smaller filter at the end of the hose close to where you plug it into the gun to filter out any moisture that gets into the fill hose line . I think the Hill pump needs a few more filters .
sparten pump is same hill mk4 and hill mk4 model is different? i watch it on site but his details is write on it.. the spartan pump... and i want to byu hill pump mk4 please reply iam very confused
What type of silicone should you get for these ? Link if ya have one . Also are there other orings in the pump other than those two you showed . thanks for any info ya can give . I do have a hill pump , its a earlier version than that one but very similar .
Good video. I have a question, though. I noticed that while you're standing over the pump the dry pack is on your left at your left foot. Does it matter where the dry pack is located? I asked this because I have this exact pump with the dry pack and I'm having a little bit of trouble. I have my dry pack located in the middle between my right and left foot. The problem is that when I push down, the air in the line pushes the handle back up. Air isn't going into the gun. (Gamo Coyote Whisper) While I hate having to use a pump, I hate even more wasting my energy. Would this be a pump issue or a sticky valve in the rifle?
Waaay better than scuba bottles! You don't have to look where to refill or to take a bottle that looks like a bomb with ya in your car, just a small pump and that's it.
I was watching a video with the guy out of the UK from Black Pool air rifles, he had the man on his show from Hill pumps. He said Hill is gonna do a compressor do you know anything about that offering Jarrid?
Hill are the best, they reply to emails very quickly and are very patient and supportive. I have massive moisture buildup because I used mine a lot and had to start using a dry pack
How long does it take to for needle from pump to move to at least 50 bars? i have a hatsan blitz (needle at 0 bars, empty tank)and been pumping for some time and the needle for both the pcp and hand pump have not move at all. i close the bleeding valve, after 3 mintues of pumping I open the valve and their is a hissing sound, so I know there is air going through. What could I been doing wrong?
With now a day technology, we should be able to make a pump, just like a car tire pump, that use electricity source from home and car with a build in moisturizer filter. That will save lots of time and effort.
wow what e very informative review, im a new owner of local pcp made airgun...how i wish to have one of your pump for christmas... just borrowing pump from my friend..😊
I bought a Hill Mk 4 handpump & regretted buying it! had my first Air Venturi G -6 handpump running 12- 14 yrs. now & still going on without breakdown & bought the said Hill Mk4 as backup but after a few years it was out of order! returned for warranty repairs! but I wonder it won’t fill air on my pcps! it’s hard to pump as it rebounds when you push the handle pump down as you pump, and it came from repair! we disassembled & replace a new set of spares bought from your website Airguns of AZ, but same as usual won’t fill air on any of the pcps the plunger (handle) rebounds when you start to pump! unlike my old Air Venturi G-6 !!!
Good pamp but rubber hose is extra so for pump wich you pay 220€ and editional hose for pumping gun is 50€ on top and that pises me off cos pump cost litle under 300€
have been using PCP Air Rifle since 20 yrs and I like only pumps and I never purchase scuba tank because there are limited but pumps are anywhere and anytime. I wish Hill hand pump makes case or bags for this pumps. It’s very difficult to carry around in jungles/Anywhere or very difficult to keep it clean. But the Hill company England never listen to thier customers I am asking since Mk 3 and 4. People can be given the option to buy with or without pump Case/ bags.
only works if your like arnold ill be back will be hard work at best. i bought and tried i run half marathons 180 lbs no way, buying comp and tank, my tank 250 bar.
Why on earth nobody make carry bags for Hill hand pump, it's very uncomfortable in the forest where there are no roads, carrying ourself air compressor and scuba tanks is out of question in the jungle, If there is a bag for hand pump that's the best solution, we will never out of Air in our gun

Great news I will hold out until shot show 2020 see if they launch it there.
How is their quality control? And how is their customer support if it breaks?
If you read my comment. I've had mine for 2 years it is worth every penny. Maintenance on it is pretty easy. Hope that helps you.
