Who's here doing ninja tricks in 2024!?!! Thanks so much for the great content Butch!?!! 😊Ya older guys really appreciate it even though we might not comment very often.
The monthly payments on the garage aren't that bad (only three figures) and is a long-term investment. I'm a teacher and coach/advise activities as my primary career. I'm 14 years into teaching now with additional education/training throughout. On top of that, I do freelance video work (including a few monetized UA-cam channels) and some educational consulting. I also have an online business through eBay and Amazon that does pretty well. Finally, I started saving/investing earlier than most while staying away from debt and wasteful spending. For example, I had academic scholarships that covered most of my college expenses all four years, which is huge! I worked my tail off in high school to maintain a 4.3 GPA to earn these scholarships and finished college at the top of my class. Not bad, considering no one in my family had ever attended college and neither of my parents finished high school . . . I was really motivated which is also why I went into teaching. Meanwhile, I've had a job and been saving since I was 11: delivering newspapers (age 11-14), McDonalds (14-16), and auto repair (16-21). I've also stayed away from all forms of drugs and alcohol . . . I've never even touched the stuff. In short, I work about 80 hours a week and made a series of proactive decisions from an early age. However, I enjoy the work I do and am always looking for additional adventures. I'm planning on adding a skateshop and doing custom apparel printing for local organizations in the future. I plan on outfitting the back office for that next.
I imagine having a small park setup like this In 6 months I'd be better than I was in my prime. (I was sponsored at 14 before a career ending injury, snapped my right shoulder blade in half landing fakie down a 8stair handrail hitting a pebble skirting backwards onto a concrete curbs corner)
Someone somewhere can probably double negative fishbrain that (does Van Damme skate?). I thought of it as a joke but now I'm seriously wondering if that trick has been done before. The landing might be rough of course!
